Covenant uses only direct hire employees, vs. sub-contractors. This has implications if anyone is injured doing the job, where sub-contractors aren't covered by Workmen's Compensation, so their only recourse is to sue the customer. I balanced that against Covenant's higher price and decided in their favor. Another factor was that Covenant was able to require only $2,000 down and got bank financing for the rest, with low APR over 5 years for me.

Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Replace fiberglass shingles with metal roofing: Overall, a very good experience. I selected Covenant based on the discussion with the initial consultant. Other companies cut corners, such as installing metal roofing over old substrates, using blocking rather than repairing the structure if needed; but covenant took it down to the bare wood, addressed any issues, and built it up from the base as if it were a new home. We ran into some issues due to the historical council in my neighborhood, which made things drag on a little bit. But overall, I am very happy. There was one small issue after completion, and when I notified the PM, he personally came to my house within the hour and corrected it, great service! And my electric bill is anywhere from 20 to 30% lower each month compared to last year!

I had a great experience with this company. I am glad I hired them. The workers were professional, cleaned up after themselves. Had absolutely no issues whatsoever. The whole experience was a great one. Joe Oddo was great to work with. He walked us through this step-by-step. What a great guy. He is a real asset to this company. Roof looks great!! I actual job turned out great, very satisfied with the finished product, however, the crew did not clean up and put everything back where they found as I was told would happen. I was told on they next day, Friday that they would have the dumpster moved out Saturday which was also not the case. I could not use my carport from Thursday when they started the job (which I knew it would be there until job was finish which was the same day). Finally Monday the dumpster was removed. Like I said that the job turned out great and I believe that the salesman are unaware of these extenuating circumstances.

You pay a little more but you get your money's worth and it will last for years. It's worth it.

I should have told them to leave my property after they increased their estimated price by over $4,000.00. This increase was blamed on the salesman. They sent a 4 man crew out to do the job where none of them spoke English. They estimated that it would take at least 7 sheets of plywood, conservatively, and they were going to include up to $750.00 worth of wood repair, yet they only sent out only 2 sheets of plywood for the job. On the 2nd day my neighbor called me and said he saw the installers taking out old plywood from the dumpster and putting it back on the roof. When I called them on it they sent over an individual who could speak English and he tried to give me a snow job about it and I said "NO', they promised up to $750. worth of wood repair, not old wood seen as not good the day before. I would told they would have another sheet brought over but I never saw it or any remnants of new wood anywhere. They concluded and left without saying a word. I got a call from them the next day saying the dumpster would be picked up within a day or so and the inspector was scheduled for the following Monday. The dumpster was picked up the next day followed by a phone call from one of their personnel stating he was going to be in the area and would like to pick up the payment. I told him, "no payment until the code inspector passed it". Monday the inspector came and left not approving it. I asked what happened and got 3 different versions, seems they didn't take the required pictures upon starting the work. Next day I get one of their drivers backing up onto my lawn with his pick up and depositing 4 packages of shingles on my lawn, which I had to move later to keep it from killing my grass. A bit later a get a phone call telling me it was going to take place. They sent 2 of the original workers back, who proceeded to rip up my roof in 3 large areas, so they could take pictures and then piece mealed my roof back together. They were aware that I had a dog and the 3 work occasions they were here they left my gate open, on the first day I had to look all over my neighborhood for my dog. I'm lucky they did destroy my patio screen door closer. It was set to remain open about 18"s and they forced it closed, when I went to open it later, it popped open as soon as I released the latch. This is by far the worst contractor experience I've ever undergone. There was other side work on the eves that was originally quoted for but had to be completed by another pair of individuals from a different company that cost me another $600. I consider their whole operation totally unprofessional, from their salesman right up to the co.owner who I had to deal with. I paid them because I was tired of dealing with them. Don't be as trusting with this company as I was. If I saw their name on a bidders list again, I wouldn't even consider it. I wonder if that's why they've recently changed their name to Covenant vice Villages. Beware.

I was very pleased with this company, especially with Joe Oddo. He was extremely professional and informative in his initial presentation and continued to make sure that everything met my highest expectations during and after the roofing process. He was always there for me, and I felt complete confidence in him and his word. The roof looks great, the workers were skilled, and the clean up was great.

This company is highly recommended! We had a great experienced hiring them to do my roof. They did an excellent job. The way Mr. Joe Oddo discussed about the company, quality of materials and what to expect, my husband and I did not make any second thought of hiring them, we signed right there and then. They were true to what they promised and they always update about the progress. As soon as they got the work permit, in two days time, my roof is already done. No stress at all...it was worth paying for. Definitely, we will hire them again in the future...
