We have used Kalos before and have been pleased with the quality of their work. They arrive timely and are efficient.

They arrived on time and were very efficient. While servicing the units they found that a control sensor on both units was below operating requirements. They asked what I wanted to do and gave alternative courses of action prior to doing any work. They then performed the work for a very reasonable fee.

The repairman who's name I've forgetten arrived on time. Very friendly and knowledgable though young. He got to work right away. Did good clean work meaning no leftover pieces for me to clean up. The exterior outlets were done correctly and the irrigation control was done well. Gave me some tips on future work too around pool area. Overall very very helpful and friendly.

Needed power disconnected from a double-wide house to be demolished prior to pulling a demolition work permit. Technician came afternoon of the same day I contacted the office, disconnected the power cables, and wrote me a receipt indicating that the work had been performed.

Scheduling was very prompt, service was performed within 24 hours to my full satisfaction. I especially like the online account/job management even for small jobs like mine. It is very transparent.

We had moved into a house built in 1951 that had no central air or heating. A family member in the heating business (but too far away to do the work) suggested an electric split inverter system, with two internal units being enough to cover the main living areas (kitchen, living room and main bedroom). We are only winter residents for now and don't really need to directly cover our two extra rooms. I solicited three estimates, stating in an e-mail what we wanted as described above. A representative from Kalos came promptly and was, as it turned out, the only one who questioned me closely on what we wanted. (The others gave us estimates on how best to heat and cool every room.) He looked around and took notes and went back to the store to prepare the estimate. It was promptly e-mailed to us. We couldn't compare the estimates precisely because the other two estimates were for the entire house, but the Kalos estimate was very close to what our family member told us it ought to cost and it was for the Mitsubishi brand that I wanted because of the reviews I had read. We e-mailed back our signed acceptance of the proposal and the job was scheduled for later in the week. That was great as we didn't have heat and were in a bit of a cold snap, by Florida standards. They arrived on time and went to work. The gentleman who made the estimate wasn't working that day, but they had his notes so the lead technician confirmed what our expectations were compared to the notes he had. There were two or three doing the work at all times. They kept us informed as to how they were going to do the installation - where the exterior and internal units and the wiring and drainage pipe needed to go - so there were no surprises. They put down drop cloths and warned that cutting through the concrete wall might throw dust, but there was no problem. The job took a while but was completed the same day. They accidentally cut off our power briefly - a slight inconvenience as my wife works from home - but I had thought they would need to bring the electricity down for a half-hour or hour, so it was actually better than expected. One of the workers owned a Mitsubishi unit himself, so he explained how to run the internal units and gave a few tips about them. And then they were done. They left the exterior and interior as clean as it was when they started. The job cost exactly what they quoted and the Mitsubishi "Mr. Slim" system has worked great for the month we have used it. It is so quiet you hardly know it is running and the remotes control the two internal units separately rather than from one thermostat. If we decide we need to extend coverage to the extra rooms, I will happily hire Kalos to do the job. 6/17/14... As an update let me say that we haven't had any trouble with the units after 18 months or so and therefore have not had to call for repair or with questions. The units do a fine job - in fact, we find in the summer we can run them on the dehumidify feature rather than full A/C usage. I clean the dust from the filters once a month or so, an easy task. We are still pleased with the Mitsubishi units and the service received that day.. 7/8/15... A further update. We found that the system wasn't cooling as well as we remembered, so we called for a maintenance service. As related in a newer review here, it is working like new again, Still a great A/C and heating system and service provider!

Even though it turned out that I live outside of Kalos' normal service area, the man with whom I made my appointment insisted on honoring Kalos' promotional ad with Angie's List ($35 for HVAC maintenance check) that I purchased. The service tech showed up well within the agreed upon window of time and worked diligently for almost 2 hours, performing work that I thought was in excess of a normal check up. Concerned that I was going to owe more than the $35 fee, I asked him how much more I would be charged. He said there would be no additional charge, that this type of service is what his company provides on all their annual maintenance calls, because it benefits Kalos in the long run. He was polite, courteous and considerate; he even wore paper booties when entering my house! I certainly would use Kalos' services again and again if I were in their service area, and feel certain that whoever does will be pleased with the choice.

Bryan arrived for our appointment exactly on time. He went through my various options and made recommendations. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions, and he e-mailed his proposal the same afternoon. The installation crew arrived on time and were very professional, courteous, and respectful of my property. Once the installation was complete, the foreman went through the whole system and explained everything to me. The final price was exactly what I was quoted in the proposal. Bryan followed up to make sure I was 100% satisfied. I recommend Kalos Services whole heartedly.

A+ COMPANY! Over the past 5 years I have used Kalos on several occasions. Most recently we moved into a small rental house while selling our large lake home. The rental house on day 10 started putting out heat rather than cool a/c. I emailed Bryan to which he promptly responded and sent a tech out within a few hours. The technician arrived on time and was knowledgable, neat and clean. Most likely my dog had chewed some wire outside which the dog has a history of doing at our lake house. As always they were very professional all the way around including dress, neatness, cleanliness, language, etc. Our first experience with Kalos was at our lake home. We had part of the house which did not cool well. They assessed the situation and installed a ductless air unit which was a perfect solution. On a few occasions mainly due to our dog they returned for repairs. They are easy to contact and very quick to respond. They are always neat and clean and even take their shoes off in the house. Our next experience was to replace our a/c unit with a more energy efficient unit. After installation our electric bill decreased by $200-300 per month. They are a trustworthy and honest family run business. We would frequently just leave a key out which was so convenient with both of us working. Their prices are competitive. At least 3 times they have come out to the house and not charged. The ductless system they priced was not in stock and they put in a more expensive unit without any extra charge.
