In 2017,a power surge caused damage to my entire HVAC System. Another A/C Contractor installed an entirely new HVAC System. However, I didn't know the actual improper insulation of the system would cause a water leak to my ceiling drywall. So,Brian from Velocity Air Conditioning showed me the cause of the problem(s) and corrected the work from the previous A/C Contractor. I would highly recommend Velocity Air Conditioning for your HVAC repairs. Ron P

They came out on Father's Day to install our new air conditioning unit. They came back out to seal up the hole in the ceiling of our garage that had been open when we bought the house. Now even our un-air conditioned garage is cooler!

TERRIBLE! My husband and I paid Velocity $20k to put in new A/C units a year ago and we've had to call them upwards of 15 times to come and fix some problem with the same unit. They wouldn't replace it or refund us for the faulty unit, even after TEN SERVICE CALLS to the same unit, and they charged us for the service calls, even though the problem was obviously a result of their bad unit or possibly incompetent installation. In any case, the unit is still not functioning and the company has taken zero responsibility for it. In this latest iteration, the tech I was assured was coming out to fix it showed up in a plaid shirt and cargo shorts asking us what he'd been sent out to do. We're having to replace this very expensive unit barely a year later, and I guarantee we won't be using Velocity Air.

I highly recommend velocity. They are prompt and extremely fair in their costs.

They were fast and efficient. The process and options were explaned in detail. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We recently had Velocity come out and perform the annual service/inspection on our unit. Not only did they have a great price, but the service was performed by a very knowledgeable professional who answer all my questions and explained the procedures as they were completed.

I can only say that our experience went into areas of business not related to our HVAC problem. We were asking for advice on what was wrong and how to fix the problem. Instead," he" went into weird territory. He was providing me a lecture on how to handle our finances to "educating" me in other areas of business that I have had 25 plus years in as a Purchasing professional. I ended the "visit" after paying $160 for blowing out a drain line. I tried to resolve the issue(s) with the staff and the owner. Neither was willing to address the problem, they didn't even return my calls, emails or answer my questions nor address my complaint. Be on your toes when you deal with this vendor.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from Velocity Air! We had another company look at our ac for repair and the technician quoted me a price that seemed really high for the work to be done. I wanted a second opinion, so I used Home Advisor for other companies to choose from. The team at Velocity are professional, courteous, expedient, and really reasonably priced. They diagnosed, found the part for our old system, came back the same day and replaced it so we would have cool air ASAP! Definitely recommend Velocity Air, Brad was extremely knowledgeable, and so was Tim...Nice work you guys!!!

This company wanted to charge me $2300 for a new compressor, when actually all I needed was my drain line cleaned.

Working with Velocity was amazing the gentlemen was on time, made sure everything was taken care of and very respectful.

Service was good. Seemed a little pricey for services rendered, but repair and work was quality. Tried to sell a lot of other services during the call. Not a horrible thing, but felt a tad off putting.

Get it right the first time!

Don’t bother placing specific notes on the account, they are not adhered to. I called for an assessment and ended up purchasing a new unit at the recommendation of the technician.

Velocity Air has not completed my job and we're going on 9 mo's now. I would think twice on dealing with this company. Look elsewhere to have your A/C needs met. They already have one complaint on file with the Dept of Buisness & Prof Regulation of Florida. Velocity Air's Contractor Lic # is CAC 1817421 The initial job went fairly well. The install staff was ok. Some of the techs they sent out were very pleasant and informative, probably to the detriment of whoever was making the decision. They were the honest ones who informed me what was what, besides the City of Tampa permit department. You know they're the ones who are in charge of everything being done correctly. But soon after they failed to meet City Of Tampa codes requirements. Three attempts were requested to bring the new A/C system that Velocity Air said was suitable for my home. It has not been achieved. I was told, AFTER INSTALL of a brand new system, that certain lines and drains were my responsibility to repair/replace at additional costs to me. I thought when you get a quote it meant everything. But I guess you only get the car... the wheels and tires are extra. Not their responsibility... my responsibility??? They inspected my home, supposedly, and compiled a selection of equipment along with a sizable bill. But it's my responsibility to know if my freon transfer line (or whatever it's called) is not the correct diameter to accommodate the new freon pressure (or something) of the NEW A/C UNIT they selected??? Then the drain line outside the house was not up to code. Not my words, the City Of Tampa inspection division's words. Velocity Air said it was my responsibility to replace it and move it out far enough according to code. That's right. I hired a company to know and do all that but I should do some of the work and know the code requirements and do it myself. But when I pushed back saying you quoted me a job after looking at my property and some of the job is a FULL A/C replacement is not Velocity Air responsibility to correct? Furthermore, when on the 4th and final time they came out to rectify my complaints and could not manage a successful solution, Darrel or Richard said the drain line probably was leaking under the house (not true). That's why we were having problems. Re-routing a new drain line with a condensate pump for an extra $1000 would do the trick. Really? All they had to do was fix the drain line like they are required to do. When I said the Inspector said it was the company's responsibility, they raised their voice and said they don't care what the inspector said. Now they are not responding to my service call requests or calling me back to help get this corrected. I am not shocked at this point. If I am wrong on something then I will own up to it.
