Initial install went according to plan, the old units were removed, new unit installed without problems. However the finish up was not up to Pinellas County code but they were all minor items such as sealing and insulating the new unit. All were addressed in a timely manor. Now if the same county inspector would return, a different one each time finds ( nitpicks) something else, I can be done with this phase of getting off the grid. Next year after I receive my energy rebate ,I will do solar hot water.

For years my husband has been trying to convince me to switch to solar. I was extremely reluctant because of the high cost, but the very convincing salesman assured us that the system would pay for itself with the savings in our electric bill. "Nothing out of you pocket" was the line used numerous times in the sales pitch. Since the system has been installed, we have received three electric bills. Our first bill was a partial bill and showed no savings. I remained open minded and waited for the second bill with the new system. On our second bill, our amount increased by five dollars AND we were out of town, so the electric use was down. We recently received our last bill and we have a savings of $8.00. We are paying over $70.00 a month for this system, so it is NOT paying for itself. Not even close. My husband has been in contact with Sun-Tec numerous times and they have sent out numerous technicians to try to fix the problem, as they insist we should be saving more money. In fact, I am waiting for one to arrive while typing this review. Everyone has been very kind and accommodating. The crew that installed the system was very efficient and professional. However, we are not seeing the money savings that we were told we would see on a $12,000 investment. Would you spend $12,000 to save $8.00 a month. I hope that Sun-Tec can figure out the issue. I must say, they have not abandoned us and they have taken our concerns very seriously, that is if they show up today. They are late.

Salesman came out and discussed all the details and advantages of having a solar hot water heater.. When the installers came the salesman had not accurately assessed the size of the hot water heater that would fit. They immediately went back to their warehouse and got the correct size. They were very professional and did not hurry. In fact they were here for 8 hours installing the solar heater and attic fan. They were courteous and cleaned up after the job. They called me for a follow up, arranged the necessary inspections, and sent me all the materials I needed to operate the heater.

Arrived on schedule. Performed installation quickly, and, efficiently. Fully explained how each of the items work. Both systems working fine.

He came one day and they installed it the next day. It's working just fine.

THE INSTALLATION TOOK AN ENTIRE DAY WITH THE REMOVAL OF TWO WATER HEATERS AND INSTALLING SOLAR WATER HEATER AND ATTIC FAN. The salesman was professional and knew his stuff. The installers were good as well. But we have been having problems since the installation and have a hard time getting anyone to follow up. Our electric bill was supposed to go down, but we aren't seeing it. Their excuse was the circulating pump takes more electricity than they thought. They put in one attic fan and we need 2. I am very disappointed with their follow up. It seems I get the run around with them. I spent a lot of money on this system and expect them to make things right. Until they do I wouldn't recommend using this company.

They removed the old water heater and installed the new hot water heater along with the solar panel on the roof. They were fast and efficient and worked in a timely manner. They were supposed to contact us within 90 days, never heard back from them.

First of all, the company tells one lie after another. The phone call leads you to believe they are connected with an energy saving program offered by the government. The phone solicitor lies and tells you there will be no out of pocket cost. At the so-called energy evaluation, it is nothing but a pitch to get you to sign up for a solar water heater at a ridiculous price. They do lower the price as the pitch goes on but still about 4 times what would be reasonable. If you do a little research you will see that they juggle numbers and are very deceptive and in fact tell many outright lies. There are certain people that would fall for their scheme but in reality only a complete fool would buy anything from this company. To top it off they keep calling you with the same pitch as the first time they called - they are going to be in your neighborhood etc. When I told the last guy that I am on the do not call list and I am going to report them he stated it would do no good because they are on some kind of hidden IP address when they call. If they call again I am going to call Morgan and Morgan. Do yourself a favor - AVOID this company.

I am very pleased and I recommend them highly. And what I perceived as a problem, they came right out and took care of it. It was over a holiday time and everything was fine. Anyway they have been very responsive, very good, very neat workmanship. I have no complaints at all.

Salesman was easy to talk with and very knowledgeable. The service crew were very professional and very hard working even when it pored rain.

Sun-Tec called us to see if we would be interested in hearing about their company and what they had to offer. We set an appointment up to see what they had to say. The sales rep came to our house on 10/1/13 and gave his presentation. After some discussion with the sales rep, we decided that we wanted some time to think about it. Some of the numbers (cost, rebates, interest) were not adding up to us and when he talked about cutting a hole in the roof to install a solar attic vent (which we were interested in) alarm bells went off for us at the thought of someone, other than a licensed roofer cutting a hole in our roof. Also, he said that if we signed that day, they could start the work within a couple of days; that they could work while the permit is being pulled. This did not sound right to us either, but we did not comment on these things to him. After he left, saying to think about it and that he would be in touch with us the next day, my husband and I compared notes and had some of the same questions. I went to your website and read some of the reviews of others who have used this company and found some of our concerns echoed there. My husband also called the county and was told that it would take up to 4 weeks to pull a permit to install solar panels. The rep called back when we were not home and left a message. We did not return his call and we have not heard from him again. We have decided not to have this work done at this time. The rep was very courteous, personable and professional.

The installers were very professional, and good at what they did. They did a great job, cleaned up when they were through. There was a three man team, each one seemed to know what he was doing and went about it quickly and professionally.

It's working awesome. We can get on our iPhone or iPad to check the it-called the Nest System. I've saved at least 50-70% off my Air conditioning bill.

It went well. They were very honest. There was a $700 discrepancy on the quote that I received and the final bill that was charged but they worked it out for me.

They were fine and I had no problems with them. They seemed to be punctual and courteous. It didn't take them long to get on the roof, find the leak, and repair it.

Job was done before permits pulled. Failed roof inspections twice. Start to finish about 60 days. Home owner required lic. roof contractor for completion and final inspection. Paid for by Sun-Tec. Material was good quality, workmanship was below average that is why they got a C in quality. All in all they did everything they said they would, but started wrong, finished right. Home owner does not understand why someone can cut holes in your roof and not have and roofing lic., and inspected by pluming inspector. Although inspector in Palm Beach County was great! Sun-Tec Owner definitely stands behind his work and I commend them for it!!

It was not good. Their prices were exorbitant. Once we were able to research, it was probably double of what it should be. We canceled based on them trying to do non-permitted work and we had done our research and saw that they were charging doubly. For responsiveness, they were pretty responsive.

In about 3 to 4 hours they installed the solar panel on my foor, ran copper tubing into my garage and hooked up to a new water tank. They tested the system and disposed of my old hot water heater. I now have a reduced FPL bill every month and unlimited hot water.

I had them come out to give us a price for a solar hot water heater. They were on time, and it started somewhat professional. Not long after the salesman was here, he started to get more aggressive and then started ratcheting up the pressure. Wanted to install a solar hot water system for over $10,000. I laughed at him and he got upset. I showed him the door not long after that. He did come back and offer a better price if I would buy today. I asked him the price and he wouldn't tell me unless I told him I would purchase. Don't let these guys into your home.

Frank from Sun-Tec came out to give me an estimate on an Attic Vent for my roof. He said he could install a solar Attic Vent, and could also provide me with a solar Air Conditioner which I am in the market for, that would be incredibly efficient. He said the Air Conditioner solar panel would heat the Freon way beyond what any normal A/C outside compressor could, producing a SEER rating off the books, and at night the AC would be operating at very high SEER rating when the sun was not shining. The solar panel would be mounted on the roof. He said he would send me a proposal by email. He left without giving me any brochures on this solar Air Conditioner he was describing. When he left, I did some further reading on the web as to how an AC system works, and where is heat needed that the sun can help with the heating process for free, and became a little puzzled and concerned. In my email to Frank, I asked him to reply to my email, and explain it again and send me some information and links so I could understand it more along with the quote/estimate. I never heard from him again, and never got a quote on the Attic Vent or Solar Air Conditioner he was trying to sell me. This left me very suspicious about the whole thing.

They had the system operational in one day with a minimum of mess, which they took care of, and little disruption to the household. When the 80-gallon water tank would not fit in my garage, they provided an outdoor cabinet and ran the piping and electrical work. They crews were professional and efficient. Of course, the proof of the system will be when we start getting electric bills to see how the system works. It is now August and our electric bills are running $75 to $100 less a month.

My overall evaluation the the product is too expensive even with the turn and FPI. Another point is that the salesman was not fast enough and the water does not heat fast enough when switched to electric. I do not see any difference in savings for my family but when we are only two people, maybe a large family would benefit more.

The guys did a great job with both the solar attic fan and the insulation. Had a small issue with one of the guys cracking a small area of the ceiling during the installation, but they provided someone to repair the ceiling damage. Very nice and proffesional.

I was approached by someone who told me about the fan. An appointment was made & it was explained in detail. It was installed the same day (I think). The company has sent a rep to check to see that it is working properly.
