I like supporting a family business operation as opposed to the mega giants Waste Management. For my area they pick up after 12:00 p.m. which means I don't have to rush garbage out first thing in the morning!

I called to determine their cost for service/service details. After learning they require that I provide my own receptacle for certain recycyclables yet charge more than other services, I said I'd think about their service and get back to them, at which point the agent hung up on me.

I just called them for a price on picking up my trash, 5/8/13. The price is $21.50 per month, which includes pickup 2x a week, lawn debris, etc.. They wanted to charge me an additional $5 extra for recycling so it would be a total of $26.50 a month. These prices DO NOT include using their containers. Awful! There was an option for pickup once per week but it would not include any lawn debris (grass clippings, trees, leaves, etc.). So where am I supposed to put my lawn debris?! Pretty steep for prices if I do say so myself! As I'm a single girl living alone, I feel companies leave people like me no option for any savings. It's not like I have a family of 2-6 with mounds of trash. I have approximately 1 bag every 2-3 weeks and recycle much of my trash.

This is ongoing trash pickup and I do not expect any problems. Customer service is excellent.

We have been using Solar Sanitation since 2007 and couldn't be happier. They are reliable and always take the garbage we put out.They do not re-arrange the schedule too much on holidays. Their pricing is competitive.

After contacting them, at first they could not find my address on their and quot;route mapand quot;, even though they pick up the garbage at other houses in my neighborhood. Once the girl on the phone and quot;found meand quot;, she said that it would start the following Monday. On Monday I put out my garbage, and nobody showed up. I did receive a call from her late that afternoon telling me that she forgot to inform the route drivers of my new account, but assurred me that my garbage would be picked up on Thursday. So my garbage sat at the curb for three more days. On Thursday, I was home when another garbage company drove by and for some reason picked up my garbage. There are other garbage companies that pick up in my neighborhood and perhaps they thought I was a new addition. I do not know if Solar Sanitation came by later and realized that somebody else picked up my garbage. So today is Monday, and once again I had my gabage out to be picked up. When I got home from work, nobody had been by to pick it up (not even the and quot;otherand quot; company). I have never had such a difficult time trying to give my business to somebody. I work in the hospitality industry and if we treated our guests like this we would not be in business. I guess what Solar Sanitation is trying to tell me is that they don't want my business. They brag about the great customer service on their website and their radio ads, but it's all hype. They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk.

This company has been collecting our trash since April 2009. We have had no problems with them. They are reliable, and their workers are friendly and courteous.

The service was perfect. I called them up and they brought the dumpster over within a couple of hours. They filled it up, hauled it, and took it away. I have no complaints.

THIS COMPANY'S SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE PROMPT, RELIABLE AND INEXPENSIVE. I'D RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
