Installation of RollShield and Crimesafe screens has definitely increased the security and hurricane safety. Crimesafe blinds secure windows all of the time and do not (to our surprise) decrease visibility from within. RollShield was very professional in presenting and installing their products and were really cooperative in assessing roller blinds installed by another company much more than the other company that provided no follow up at all. We selected RollShield after consulting Angie's list and wish we had done so from the outset We would not hesitate to recommend RollShield . The Crimesafe screen provides unique protection that requires no effort on the part of the home owner..

Everything was great. They did a wonderful job, and the shutters have been very good. They were on time and professional and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them and would use them again.

It was excellent. The manufacture a fine product. Their sales people are excellent. Others who have used the gave the glowing reports. The performed exactly as they said they would. They were timely. I couldn't have asked for more.

Signed contract and was told it would take weeks for manufacturing and installation and would be contacted for day/time. Was contacted within a week and scheduled installation. Was told they would call around 11am and would install late afternoon. No one ever called and did not show up until 4:45 and didn't comlete installation until 6:30. The lock was not the lock shown to me during the sales pitch, so I pointed that out. I called Monday to discuss the lock. Was told not to worry, they would take care of it and someone would call in a few days to schedule the repair. NO ONE CALLED. I called and was told they were manufacturing the new pieces and they would call in a few days to schedule the repair. NO ONE CALLED. I called and this time I was told that the parts had been back ordered and someone would call in a few days to inform me of the time frame. Surprise!! NO ONE CALLED. I called and this time, miraculously they was some extras around and they would come and do the repairs. they did. I called about the advertised and contracted mitigation report, and they scheduled 9am this morning. NO ONE CALLED AND NO ONE SHOWED UP. I called, they said someone would be here tomorrow, I'll keep you posted.

Company personnel were knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to deal with. Price quoted and charged was about $6,000 less than competitor for essentially identical shutters. Some delays in scheduling were experienced, much to the company's chagrin, but we were not unduly inconvenienced. The sales representative was quite helpful in assembling the application for our homeowners association architectural review board, providing digital copies of example photographs, shutter specifications, etc., and kept in constant touch during the installation.

I liked them. They were on time, did a nice clean job on this process and I'd highly recommend them. The two men that came were very professional. They were great!

They got the work done sooner then they had anticipated and at an additional discount. They were here the days they said they would be and preformed all they work contracted for. There were a few miner details that I was not 100% happy with. Some small paint chipping around the anchors for the panels, one of the accordion shutters stacked to the opposite side of where I preferred, and one plant got damaged. I did not ask them to try and rectify any of these things. I decided that none of these things really mattered to my overall satisfaction with the job.

After seeing our homeowners insurance rates triple after two major hurricane seasons, we decided to participate in the "My Safe Florida Home" program and bring our home up to the latest hurricane codes in order to reduce our insurance rates. In the fall of 2007, after bringing our roof up to hurricane code, we then looked into window and door protection with five companies specializing in custom made hurricane shutters, screens and curtains. After months of getting estimates and learning about codes, materials and researching the reliability of companies through the BBB and county complaint departments and speaking with references; one company greatly impressed us with not only the quality of their product, but with the service they have provided to their customers. That company is Roll Shield, Hurricane Shutter Manufacturer, located in Clearwater, FL. Not only did they have no complaints on file, but every customer we spoke with gave them very high marks for a professional hassle free job. We were invited to tour their manufacturing plant and spoke with the people who actually made our shutters. The sales people and engineering team spent many hours with us going over our needs and coming up with a very attractive, affordable solution to our hurricane protection needs. We made a few changes between ordering and installation and the Roll Shield people were very patient and committed to seeing that we got just what we wanted. Work order changes were made without any hassle. The installation crews showed up on time, were neat, clean and prepared to do their jobs. They were very courteous and accomplished the job with as little mess and noise as possible. They started and completed right on time and at the cost agreed upon. And, in addition to the wonderful job they did on our shutters and doors,etc., the company even assisted us in preparing the "My Safe Florida Home" grant paperwork. That was a tremendous help, believe me. We are extremely pleased with the job done by Roll Shield and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a similar project.

We've been using plywood for hurricane protection for the last 10 years, but as we get older it is harder and harder to haul that stuff around. So, we went shopping for lighter weight aluminum shutters. We wanted the shutters to be engineered to Miami-Dade (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) wind load criteria, something that is not commonly done in Pinellas County. My first plan was to purchase and install the shutters myself. After getting pricing from a distributor and discussing this with my next-door neighbor (a General Contractor) my neighbor suggested calling Greg Moore, President of Rollshield for pricing as well. Greg came out personally to see our job site and to verify the design. He offered to sell us the shutters so that we could self-install, or he would install them - our choice He submitted his quote in a timely fashion and was close enough in price to my do-it-myself plan that we gave him the business. He was very thorough and professional and a straight-shooter salesman. Once we agreed on the contract details and price we had a few glitches in scheduling the job and getting it started on time; Rollshield had just gotten a large commercial contract and I think maybe they were a bit distracted by that. The job began a day later than originally scheduled which wasn't a big problem for us. Once the job started everything went smoothly. The installer (Paul) was a young man who really knows this business. He is also very customer responsive and a delight to have around. During the two-day installation we had a few small glitches with materials (due to our uncommon use of Miami-Dade installation standards) but Greg stepped up to the plate and took care of everything. Unlike some contractors that whine and complain he took full responsibility for the job and for the customer's satisfaction. All in all Paul, Greg and their company were a delight to have work on our home.

We had previously contracted with another firm who did not perform after six months. We visited the office of Roll Shield, and also viewed their display at a home show. My neighbor had his house done the week after. They were fast and the workmanship was outstanding. I contacted them the next week and they performed the same way on my home. ( he first contractor was reported to the AG's office, and we have received our down payment back.)

Perfect. From the time I made a late afternoon visit to their manufacturing location in Clearwater (neat, orderly and clean) to the measuring/design phase through to completion this project went smooth, There were no problems or issues whatsoever. I was kept informed about the manufacturing process and it was installed when I wanted it scheduled. I was not rushed nor pressured at all. Rather, each ROLL SHIELD staff member I encountered was patient with my questions and complete in their part of the overall customer service process. Since the real "proof of the pudding" is with the installation, the job was completed to my complete satisfaction (and I was repeatedly asked if everything was OK). The installer arrived on time, completed the installation, and cleaned up --- without hurrying "just to get done". I can recommend this firm without reservation if you are looking for affordable, high quality hurricane shutters.

They quoted me 4-6 weeks to have the work done. It took 11 days from the time I signed to the time of completion. I was very pleased with the workmanship. I talked to 3 companies and they were by far superior. They were actually cheaper than 1 of the other companies, too. Price included permits. They were very helpful in giving suggestions for window treatments. The workman were very professional and neat. They were a pleasure to have on my property. They came when they said they were going to, and even stayed as late as 6:30pm on some occasions.

We interviewed three companies in the area and they were by far the best. They actually had an engineer who knew what he was talking about and the other two did not. They were outstanding in all fields. We have a big house, and they did a wonderful job on the work. It was such a surprise for us that they were so professional because other companies we have dealt with have often disappointed us. We have had roll away shutters on the house before, but it was difficult to get the company that initially installed them to come out. The quality of materials used by Roll Shield is outstanding and we couldn't be happier with the results. We would highly recommend them and I feel sorry for anybody else in the area who has hurricane shutters installed by any other company.
