This is a horrible company. I signed the contract for a patio Enclosure on August 10. The salesperson, Mr. Pete Noto said that it will be completed in 8-10 weeks. It is already 11 weeks and they haven't even started with concrete flooring. I have called them numerous times. I nobody has clue on the status our project. I emailed the owner Greg Moore. He replied saying that his managers in the Patio department are horrible. He promised to get to the bottom of it. I haven't heard from him after that. Subbiah P

I needed roll down shutters to protect my lanai and three sliding patio doors from storms. I got three or more quotes from various companies. I decided RollShield had the best quote and overall price. RollShield’s salesman Don answered my questions and even showed me shutters he had just installed on his house. I signed a contract. They showed up on schedule and installed the three shutters and did the electrical connections and switches. The installers were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They complected the installation in one day. The city permit inspection went great. The next night we had a tornado alert for our area. It was nice to just close the shutters and go to bed. I would recommend RollShield from Clearwater, Florida from my experience.

ALL- DO NOT hire this company! We paid them over $6k for a patio reconstruction and they basically walked away with our cash! They have not replied to calls or texts for over 2 months. We are filing complaints with BBB, FL Dept of State and office of Attorney General Ashley Moody. Let this warning help you to steer clear from this outfit!

Finally I have my pergola. Although it took much longer than anticipated. Rollshield made it happen. The wait is worth it. I went with the Renaissance covered pergola in a bronze finish and it looks amazing. Rollshield coordinated everything, engineering, designs ,permits and installation - one stop shop! The crew is very efficient. My guests are already asking me where and who built this for me! Its a very good product and Greg the owner is very reasonable with his pricing! I totally recommend this company! Thank you Rollshield Team - I love my roof deck!

Working with Rollshield went very well. First and foremost, we obtained a quote from a different company and the Rollshield quote was significantly less. The quoted amount also was not changed and ended up being the final price. Telephone calls in advance of the work being performed were returned promptly and they took care of getting the permits and other paper work done. The onsite crew did a great job and were very courteous. After the work was done, follow up phone calls on my behalf were also timely returned. Would definitely recommend Rollshield.

Work was ok, about 4 years ago. Loved the salesman which is the main reason we went with them. Waited some time for the crimshield screens. The main problem with this company is their customer service after the product. They 1. charge very high prices for everything, warranty is very sparse on the coverage 2. have called MANY times for service and answerss about leaking in tropical storm eta. There was no drainage to assist with removal of heavy rains. was treated horribly by all of the members in the office. Would totally recommend you run fast to another company if you are looking for new screens and rolladens. I wished I had just bought new hurricane proof windows. Would not have water damaged wood floors. Now I don't even get a call back. I have asked for a factory rep. No reply. Gregg Moore, the "owner" called and offered to sit down with us and "make a plan" to make us happy. Never heard back from him. Keep getting calls from the next. manager (think his name is Desmond but not worth remembering because he is condescending and horribly rude) who loses his temper while speaking with me and has actually hung up on me. This is NOT customer service and if you are even remotely considering this product, run to the next company for equal quality and most likely better customer service. My problem is was not so much with the original installation it is the customer service AFTER THE SCREENS ALLOWED THE WATER TO OVERFLOW IN TO MY WOOD FLOORS. The crimshield screens have a horrible design flaw

Badly. They had to measure for the shutters four different times and came up with wrong measurements three out of four times. Project t5aht started in June is not finished on December 31. Owner claims to have instructed his crew to keep customers informed of the progress, but neither his employees nor he, himself kept us informed. Constant lies, more lies and more lies. This is the most unreliable business ever. In addition, they ruined our entry door tiles for no apparent reason and for several months failed to have it fixed. We had to do it ourselves. Worst bunch of incompetent, lazy and unreliable people. Be warned !!!

We went thru the estimate process, and decided on Rollshield. From start to finish (which they have not completed yet) the process has taken over three months. Our installer had a bad shoulder, so he subcontracted the actual work to 2 workers that were not experienced. They installed many panels upside-down, installed one track too low, it had to be reinstalled, and the tracks above our kitchen bay window had to be recut. Those workers didn't know how to make beveled cuts, and left large gaps between each track. We had to point out that 4 pins that were installed to hold panels over a window and our walkout garage door were able to be pulled out of the wall by hand. We waited 4 weeks for the pull down rod for our front door roll down unit to be delivered, as well as a new key that would allow us to lock that unit. Now, after all of this time, we are still waiting on someone to come out to install buttons into screw holes and tracks to cover installed bolts in our front door roll down unit. We originally held the last payment in attempts to get them to respond to our requests to finish the job, with them telling us they would not send out the local inspector to finalize the job so our insurance could be notified, without that payment being made. We made that payment, they then sent out the inspectors, but that was over 2 weeks ago, and no one has come out as was explained to us to install those trim pieces and button covers, and we don't even have the buttons to install into the holes ourselves. Unless you have lots of time and patience to be the project manager for your individual installation, I would stay clear of calling Rollshield!! We are STILL waiting on our job to be completed!
RollShield was one of 5 vendors we contacted for information about window opening hurricane protection. We initially worked with Don as our salesman and point of contact. Due to demand, our appointment was set out approximately 7 days and Don showed up on time and prepared with all the information needed. Other vendors tried to give us the "if you sign today" routines however Don was patient with our many questions due to the size of the investment. Ultimately we went with the CrimSafe screens on our window openings, accordion door on our patio slider, and the fabric protection for our front door opening. Had never seen the CrimSafe screens we were somewhat reluctant to purchase without seeing them. Don offered to have us come by his home to see the ones he had installed and we were welcomed into his home to view and "play" with the screens. Sold us 100%. The production and installation were completed as promised even if their busy season. Trey was our installer and there is not a bad thing to say about his skills or customer service. I would highly recommend giving RollShield a call for your window or hurricane protection needs.

The whole process went very well from getting the estimates done, someone coming out to measure for the job and to the install. Given the time of year and being in a pandemic they completed everything in a very timely fashion. Was very pleased with the whole process. Even my neighbors commented on how nice they looked. I would definitely recommend to others.

I would strongly urge anyone not to use RollShield for the repair of a roll down shutter. They had a good rating on Angie’s list, but I had a terrible experience: I contacted Angie’s List about July 8th for help with the repair of a roll down shutter. This shutter is six feet wide and covers a window that’s about eight feet tall. The window is installed on the 7th floor of a building on Bayshore. There is a generous balcony outside the window. The roll down shutter was about 12 years old and had taken to vibrating loudly when the wind picks up, which happens often on Bayshore. Shortly after putting my info into the Angie’s List system I got a call from RollShield. They said they had an installer coming to my building on the following Monday and they could have him stop by and repair it or see what needed to be done. The following Monday, July 13th, the installer showed up and assessed the situation and diagnosed the problem as the roll down shutter needing a stiffner bar. It would have to be ordered. I received a call on the 15th of July from Tim at RollShield saying that he could have the installer back out to my apartment on July 20th. About 10 a.m. on July 20th an installer named Dan showed up at the apartment, looked at the roll down shutter and said that the problem was not a stiffner. After coming up with no better solution, he finally noticed that the felt was missing on the inside of one side of the track for the descending shutter. Instead of replacing just the one track, he decided that all the tracks had to have new felt and that’s when the trouble began. He protested loudly that it was going to take too long and be too much work. He wasn’t careful in his work, in my estimation and ended up having to remove the entire roll of shutter. In the meantime he became increasingly belligerent, yelling and kicking tools around the open balcony. He was clearly very distressed. Indeed I felt very uncomfortable with him and his actions. He finally finished up the project and then handed me a bill for $343.50. But the felts he had installed were either installed incorrectly or too thick and the shutter, which had operated fine for ten years, would no longer go up on its on. It’s an electric motor, but he explained, unhelpfully, that I would have to go over and help the motor by pulling up on the shutter. I should point out that this shutter is used every morning and night and had never had a problem. I subsequently called RollShield and spoke with Tim and explained my discomfort with having Dan in my apartment and with the situation that I was left with --- the shutter no longer worked on its on. He promised to look into it. He subsequently called me back and said that he would get it fixed and they could come out on Monday, August 3rd. I reminded him that I didn’t want to see Dan again. The morning of August 3rd, I opened the door to the RollShield installer and found ---- Dan. He proceeded to remove the shutter, put in a new motor, and restore the RollShield. And then handed me a bill for $1200 for the motor!!! And added that they weren’t going to charge me for labor. I consider this to be outrageous, inappropriate, and would warn anyone away from RollShield. I would not trust them as a company or have their installers in my house. Don’t make the mistake I did.

Overall, I was very pleased despite a few bumps in the road. Let me begin by saying that I have been researching hurricane protection of several years. The biggest hurdle was the cost because i have a rather large house with many openings. But when hurricane Irma came so close in 2017, I decided to bite the bullet and signed the contract to begin work in Janurary 2018. However, going into this I had a feeling the project would get delayed because I wasn't the only one that probably freaked out. Another unknown that hit the industry was the tariffs that it the steel and aluminum industry causing prices to go up. All I asked was that my hurricane protection be completed prior to the next hurricane season. Rollshield did their best to get the job completed and for the most part it was completed by June 1st of 2018 with a few small things still having to be completed. Despite this, Glenn, the owner, bent over backward to make sure i was happy. Each setback or hurdle was dealt with and they tolerated me calling to get status updates. There were a few times i was fuming but we worked thru the issues because I knew they were backlogged. So why am I so happy? Because the hurricane protection I purchased, way exceeded my expectations. The rolldowns are amazing. I use them every day and give me a peace of mind that is priceless. The "crimsafe" product which is a window screen is my favorite product. Because I live on a golf course, i needed passive proteciton 24/7. Hurricane windows are still subject to breaking on the sacrificial side. rolldowns have to be put down for the procteciton. The Crimsafe is a metal screen that is aethetically pleasing and makes the house look like it has new windows. I have security and protection without having to do massive construction to remove and replace a window. While I did have a few picture windows replaced with hurricane glass, I still favor the Crimsafe product. Overall, all three products have given me a peace of mind that i did not have previously. And the installation, albeit a little slow, was a big project and was done right. Rollshield is a solid company but like any other seasonal company, hurricanes can create too much business and that can have drawbacks. If you are serious about hurricane protection, I would recommend doing it now before any threat arises and when the company can focus on the project. Seriously consider the Crimsafe product for the standard window opening. If you wait too long, prices go up and delays will occur. Either way, I gladly and without hesitation recommend Rollshield.

Not particularly well. Fabric for 2 sliding doors was mismeasured and had to be re cut. Connectors were in the wrong place, and had to be re positioned which left holes in the fabric. Screws placed in walls were not flush as initially discussed, and extend 1 1/4 " out of wall, causing a possible hazzard to young children. Knowing what we know now, we would not used this type of protection, and likely would have just replaced the 2 sliding doors. That is on us, not Rollshield. They are a professional contractor, and did all they could under the circumstances, I would like to think at this point. Count permit inspection is tomorrow, so we'll see if any more problems exist.

Outstanding! In spite of being called, just before hurricane season, an initial visit and estimate was done within a few days of calling, exact measurements were taken 15 days later, and the completed shutter was installed 21 days later. Everyone was very skilled in what they were assigned to do, and the final product looks and works beautifully. The cost was a fraction of what I would have paid to replace all of the porch windows, around my porch, with hurricane-strength windows.
