NORMALLY I WOULD GET ON THE PHONE TO SEE WHAT WE COULD DO TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION - BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THE MOVE WAS 8.5 MONTHS AGO. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT THE MOTIVE IS IN TRASHING US ALL THIS TIME LATER. THE ONLY REASON WE EVEN TOOK THIS SHORT NOTICE "NIGHTMARE" MOVE WAS BECAUSE THEY MENTIONED ANGIE'S LIST AND THEY SOUNDED LIKE THEY WERE IN A JAM. THEIR EMAIL ESTIMATE EVEN STATES, "THIS MOVE IS COMPLICATED AND …THIS IS HAPPENING QUICKLY AND THINGS ARE NOT SETTLED YET." IT WAS FOUR DIFFERENT STOPS GOING TO FORT LAUDERDALE. JUST ONE OF THE STOPS INCLUDED FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, AND 30-40 POTTED PLANTS, ETC. THE POINT IS THAT THIS IS NOT AN EASY MOVE EVEN IF THE CUSTOMER IS WELL PREPARED. THE TWO YOUNG MEN WHO WE MOVED WERE FEUDING THE ENTIRE TIME. ONE OF THEIR MOTHERS EVEN HAD TO GET INVOLVED. THEY WERE TRYING TO GET US TO TURN AROUND HALFWAY THERE BECAUSE HER SON CHANGED HIS MIND AND WANTED HIS STUFF BROUGHT BACK TO HOLIDAY. THE TRUCK HAD TO PULL OVER AND WAIT UNTIL THIS WAS RESOLVED. IT WAS VERY CHAOTIC. AS FAR AS THE PRICE GOES, WE DID NOT "TACK ON" ANY CHARGES. WE CHARGE BY THE HOUR. YES - IF YOU MOVE TO FORT LAUDERDALE THERE IS MORE "TRAVEL TIME" THAN IF YOU MOVE LOCALLY. AFTER ALL, THE TRUCK AND THE MEN DO HAVE TO COME BACK AFTERWARDS. ALL CHARGES WERE EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AND A CONTRACT WAS SIGNED. AND THE MEMBER NEGLECTS TO MENTION THAT DESPITE THE ABOVE-MENTIONED DELAY ON THE WAY DOWN, WE STILL HAD TO WAIT FOR OVER AN HOUR AT FORT LAUDERDALE BEFORE A "THIRD PARTY" CAME TO FINALLY OPEN THE DOOR FOR US. PERHAPS HE THOUGHT 9 MONTHS LATER WE WOULD HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT ALL THIS. WELL SCOTT AND LJ ARE TWO OF OUR BEST MOVERS AND BOTH REMEMBER EVERY DETAIL ABOUT THIS "INTERESTING" MOVE. WHEN IT WAS FINISHED, THEY TOLD OUR MOVERS THAT THEY WERE GREAT AND GAVE THEM A NICE TIP. THEY NEVER CALLED OUR OFFICE TO LET US KNOW THAT THEY HAD ANY COMPLAINTS. NO PROBLEMS WERE NOTED ON THE INVOICE. IF THINGS "TURNED UP MISSING OR BROKEN" IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH US. WE ARE ALL VERY CONFUSED AS TO THE MOTIVE BEHIND THIS "DELAYED" COMPLAINT. WE MADE THE BEST OUT OF A CHAOTIC SITUATION AND EVERYONE INVOLVED WAS TREATED WITH NOTHING BUT RESPECT AND PROFESSIONALISM.
