UNIT WAS INSTALLED DEC 2016. Had some ongoing problems (still do). Each time I called for service they responded quickly. I have they will repair the problem. They are like a pit bull with a bone trying to make things right

I used them at my old house and have no complaints about their service.

Received the call from the tech, who told me he wasn't going to come. He instructed me to call to office back on Monday morning. Going to call another A/C company as this company does not want my business.

Our unit went down on friday July 1st. Tech " Lebron " came and got us working and made two trips as late as 8:30 p.m. on saturday to keep us going thru weekend when they could do complete installation on 7/05 2016. Complete job done on that day with 94 degree temps and finished at 8:00 p.m.. Cant praise them enough for their service. Ken Lautanen

Our decision was to run away fast from this dealer last week. We called ?Palm Harbor Heating and Air? to do some warranty work for our Trane . We actually bought this Trane from them 5 years ago with no problems at all back then. We have no idea why they would act like they did as detailed below. We have never had any issues with them in our past. Nothing negative until after this below. Yet, the below made our jaw drop. They appear to have a business model to grossly over charge where they can today, and demand cash only from a certain percentage of their customers. Palm Harbor Heating and Air said they would come over an fix the AC under warranty but they demanded a whopping $1,000 cash paid up front on Friday and the work would be done the next week. The Trane AC part was under warranty but we had to pay for labor. WOW, did these guys try to pull a fast one on warranty work. They demanded $1,000 up front, 4-7 days before they even did the work. They refused a check, they refused a credit card. They wanted 100% cash that was to be picked up them that day, but no work would actually be for days later. They said this was all because of what Burgess had said to them about us. There was no way we were going to pay $1,000 up front for work that would not even be started that day. We offered to pay $1,000 up front on American Express versus meeting his demands for ?cash? only to protect ourselves from any potential contractor scams. Palm Harbor Heating and Air refused payment by credit card. Palm Harbor AC is advertising they accept credit cards on Angies List, yet, they seem to force a certain percentage of their customers to do business as cash only......Hummmmm.... Hey this is Florida, you would be nuts to pay any contractor 100% of the work estimate up front in cash today on the promise they will come back in a week to actually do the work. We refused to be taken advantage of. We called Trane Customer Care and they agreed with us NOT to pay them cash up front like they demanded. We ended up calling another Trane Dealer, who did the work for $525 NOT the $1,000 cash up front that Palm Harbor AC demanded. The great dealer was Millian-Aire A/C. They came out with the brand new coil in less than 3 hours, offered great professional service. Palm Harbor Heating and Air clearly attempted to take advantage of us, where we followed our gut feeling and ran from Palm Harbor heating and Air. They receive an ?F?, while Millian-Aire receives ?AAA+?.

They did an incredible job. We are VERY pleased.

Palm Harbor Heating & Air Conditioning was great. When I called them, the lady said that one of the guys would call me back that day. They didn't, and I thought I was in for another long battle trying to get someone to provide me service. I wasn't. The lady called me back the next day, apologized, and scheduled the visit I needed. An estimator came onsite, did a good job, and provided me with a good quote. The work was scheduled within a few days and my office is now a pleasant place to work.

This was a follow up to a problem I had a week or two ago. Tech noticed cracked panels on the previous visit and stated he would get new panels ordered. Got a call yesterday and new panels (under Trane warrany) were installed today. These guys did what they said they'd do! Very professional, prompt service.

The AC went out at noon on a hot day. I checked the capacitor as a possible failure but didn't see any visible sign of the typical "mushroom" capacitor blown. Did a full check with fuses and resigned to calling service as I've exhausted my HVAC knowledge and needed AC back for the family. I found them on Angie's List and called them at 1pm and printed out a service coupon. They showed up at 3pm within 2 hrs...amazing. Troubleshoot a few things and found out the capacitor for the fan side was bad I was close in troubleshooting it myself but wouldn't know to do a voltage check (I'd leave all electrical power stuffs to professionals). He didn't have the right part but I asked him to put in a temporary in-line part that works as well. I'm happy to have AC back on a hot day with such a quick service. He even spent time to look up warranty on the failed part but found out we wouldn't qualify as we're not the original owner (pretty lame exclusions for all AC units apparently, that it's not transferrable). In any case, I was ok with paying for the part to have things back operational again and even had an Angie's coupon to knock off a few bucks. Definitely recommended. I will have them come out next spring for annual checkup.

When our AC went down on a 90+ degree Florida afternoon, I search Angie's List for a provider. I called Palm Harbor Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. at 2:08pm. After obtaining my contact info, I asked their service rep if we could expect service today. She placed me on a brief hold, and came right back on the line stating they'd could have someone at our home the same day. She stated the tech would call when in route. At 2:38pm I received a call from Palm Harbor Heating and Air Conditioning Inc.'s dispatcher, stating the tech was on the way. Ben, the Service Supervisor, arrived about 3pm and had our unit up shortly before 4pm. We loved their response, communication and service so well that we are booking a major service and cleaning of our AC unit with them in the near future. We only wish all contractors were this responsive and professional. Ben was thoroughly professional, very knowledgeable and exceeded our expectations in every way. There were no attempts to up-sell, and I felt confident that all of his advice was sound and directed toward serving our personal needs. We will now use this company for our annual maintenance and any further needs we may have. I highly recommend them to all.

They showed up on time, did the A/C tune up. The tech was knowledgeable. There was no attempt to make any unnecessary upsells. I also purchased a custom filter frame set from them for $60 (a great deal) that came with 1-2 year supply of filters.

Their service went on very well. It is very easy to schedule them and they showed up right away. They were fast, respectful and did the job well.

From start to finish the transaction went very smoothly and painlessly. This was a pre- purchased Angie's List deal. An appointment was scheduled timely( within a few days of purchase of the deal)! The assigned technician Damir was prompt, thorough, clean(no tracking dirt around) and best of all---appeared very knowledgeable. Damir was patient and did not mind my watching the entire process, explained the process, and was one of only two techs that I have had inspect the unit over the last 5 or 6 years that was able to discern (and then explain) a wiring issue that I was already aware of. Damir offered suggestions regarding the issue and did not attempt to sell me a repair for a long standing issue that does not affect the performance of the unit. Damir also provided information about my unit, current prices for Freon, phase out of Freon and other trade information that I was interested in. Well done! I would use Palm Harbor Heating and Air Conditioning for my annual inspection without hesitation. I suggest that you do as well. Request Damir.Excellent work! Palm Harbor Heating and Air is not the lowest cost deal out there. However as you already know you often get what you pay for. Invest in peace of mind and a cool home. It is hot out there!

I couldn't be more pleased as the timing of getting the problem fixed was critical and they answered the call very promptly & professionally. They did not try and sell me anything I didn't need, unlike many others in this line of work and just did what they were supposed to do. Ben was very knowledgeable and professional and since "my old guy" had a bigger barrel of excuses than the ones filled with pork in Washington, I will be doing my service contract with Palm Harbor Heating and Air Conditioning. The AC Compressor stopped working late one evening and I called the provider's after hours line. A technician on call by the name of Da mir answered and after I described the problem he asked me when I wanted him to come over. I said the next day was ok. He arrived the next day on the scheduled time and after a diagnostic check determined that it was only a blown dual capacitor. The part was replaced and has a 5yr warranty. Damir was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional and I will definitely recommend the provider to everyone.

Palm Harbor AC and Heat were very professional and got the parts in one day after the issues was diagnosed, but the rain prevented the repair to continue. They got us AC again for the remaining of the day so we would not be left in the heat of our summer days. They scheduled us first thing the following day and performed the repair perfectly. Technician arrived on time, completed work in a timely manner and gave us a very detailed, written report on the condition of our air conditioner. Very professional and courteous treatment. I will definitely use this company again for my air conditioner needs.

Everytime they come out they are very clean and professional. When he told me what was going on it made alot of since. He made alot of suggestions and presented several different options. It ended up costing me twice as much but I'm so thankful he took the time to actually figure out what was going on and fix the problem. They gave me a 10 year warranty on my unit and the kitchen cooled off as soon as he was done. Every room is very comfortable now.

It was very thorough and professional.

The technician was very professional and detailed in his evaluation. Answered questions to our satisfaction and was very through in his testing of every part of the heat pump. We were very impressed. They service more than Palm Harbor since our condo is in Indian Rocks Beach. Thank you for your evaluation.

Contractor came out and then provided quotes on different manufacturer models. We had quotes from other providers and felt they were quite competitive on price. We never felt pressured to choose a particular brand and was explained the differences between each. It took a bit of back and forth before the job could be scheduled. Job was finished and the unit was functioning but there was electrical work left to be done for the auxiliary heat and the inspection to be scheduled. This last part took a significant amount of time but was finally finished up. We've also had maintenance performed by them in the past and felt they were forthright and honest in their dealings there as well. So, overall they did the job and would hire them again as I feel comfortable with their honesty but just wish some of the finishing work had occurred in a more timely manner.

Unfortunately they were a bit expensive for the permanent fix and we went with another option. They seem to be a little expensive overall but in a crisis they get the job done.
