They are unprofessional

Gary does an amazing job! He takes his time to make sure everything looks right and that all the trimmings blend in. He really is an artist at what he does. The clean up was over the top as well. Nothing to do now except enjoy the view. I will definitely use Gary again in the future!

They arrived sometime after 9:00 am. There were 4 guys and the owner, Gary. I reminded Gary I wanted the mulch. He told me he would have to make a run to the dump because what was in the truck already was not good for that. Gary and the foreman walked around while he described what needed to be done. Gary left in his pick up truck to take care of some other business. I finished mowing the backyard and went out front to see how it was going. I was upset! I made the comment that too much was trimmed off. It was suppose to be 8 to 10 feet from the ground and some branches I didn't want trimmed were taken down. The foreman told me that is what Gary told him to do. He wanted to argue with me. I went inside. Short time later I heard a crash, I ran outside to see half of my tree missing and very large branches on the ground. I was really angry now, I told him to stop and don't touch nothing else. He came back at me with' I'm not doing anymore until Gary gets back. I shouldn't be on the roof in the rain anyway. I called Gary's phone number, but didn't get an answer. About 10 minutes later I called Gary's number again and he picked up. I told him I was very upset with how my trees were cut. He told me he was just around the corner and would be there in a few minutes. When he arrived I came out told him this is not what we had agreed upon. Gary agreed this was too much and he would have them clean up the stumps of branches sticking out. One guy was to continue to get dead wood out of the tree and two others were to work on the palm cluster. It was around 1:00 and everyone went to lunch. At that time they took the truck to the dump. They returned about 1 hour later and sat in the truck while waiting for Gary to return. This time Gary was there to explain to the foreman what I wanted done for the trees in the back yard. I even pointed out the branches and gave my approval for each one. Gary left the job site again. Two of the guys were picking up the branches, but didn't do a very through job. I got my wheelbarrow and started picking up branches that were on top of my plants. The two guys kind of kicked back while they saw me work, hauling the branches to the shredder. They would start picking up and then quit and go to some other pile before the first one was cleaned up. The back yard trees turned out to be wonderful. I was pleased with what was done there. Gary showed up briefly and left again. The blew off the debris off the roofs. They were working on the palm cluster and everything went into the shredder. I was told by Gary, he would not have them shredded the palm leaves because of the thorns. They started to back the truck up to dump the mulch, I told them I did not want it with the palm leaves and thorns. When they were done and putting way their tools, I noticed that the palm cluster had a good portion(1/8 to 1/4 of the tree ) of the bottom not trimmed up. It was very noticeable. One guy went over there to finish the trimming. They replaced my yard art, blew off the driveway, side walk, front porch and was reminded of the patio, but missed doing the back porch. I was told to write the check for the estimate and give the money to the foreman. I was not happy that Gary was not there to even saying anything on behalf of what happened today. On of the guys got Gary on the phone and Gary wanted to speak to me. I felt like he want to know why I hadn't written out the check. I explained to him about the mulch and if he had another good load of mulch I would like to have it. I explained to him where it need to be dropped off. A week later I received a phone call telling me the check was made out for the right amount, but was missing one of the words in writing part. He came by to get another check at which time I was able to tell him again face to face how dissatisfied I was with the work. I also let him know I would not recommend him and would file a complaint with BBB. He apologized and told me he has always worked with his crew and his foreman is still learning after 3 years. I have yet to see the mulch. I would have thought the price would be reduced too.

He came recommended by the person who I met through Craig's List to come and dig up a palm tree for me. He was going to provide some dirt and a small section of sod. Although it took us a couple of weeks of exchanging calls (I think he was having problems with his answering machine), he finally agreed to do the work. Because of the way I met him, I wasn't sure what to expect-but he showed up with two trucks, a lot of heavy duty equipment and 3 additional workers. I thought for sure it was going to cost an arm and a leg. Gary knew the name of every plant, weed and tree in my yard and gave expert advice on everything. Needless to say, when it was all said and done-I was extremely impressed with the quality of work, the timeliness and the price of $1100 for everything!!! Although we started out with an estimate on the first work for $375-we kept adding on additional projects, so the final amount was higher than originally planned, but much lower than other estimates I had received for the same work.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. GOOD PRICES AND EXCELLENT SERVICE.
