They did an outstanding job. Were timely and cleaned up afterwards.

David made our kitchen cabinets, and a stand-alone cabinet for our integrated refrigerator and freezer. The cabinet for our fridge has large pantry drawers on either side for storage. All of the cabinet fronts on the the stand-alone cabinet are completely warped and do not open properly. He made the refrigerator panels too heavy for the doors and they would not shut properly. The tracks on the drawers were not sized properly for the weight they carried. Fast forward two years. We got a new refrigerator/freezer and had to have the entire cabinet remade, and paid for a completely new cabinet. We incorrectly thought that he would learn from his mistakes and make the second one the right way. The second one is warped, the drawer tracks were not sized properly AGAIN and need to be replace. The door on the fridge was not put on properly - it is warped and is now splitting in half where the handle is. Nothing lines up and the entire cabinet is out of wack. In addition, he did not make the openings for the refrigerator/freezer according to the specs, and the installer had trouble getting them in. We cannot put the manufacturers hinge covers on because there is not enough space in the cabinet. David came out and said he would order new tracks for the drawers and fix the split. That was at about 6 months ago. I've called at least 5 times to schedule a time. He will not call me back, and has not fixed anything All in, we have spent well over $75K with him (he did our kitchen cabinets, and two integrated cabinets). He is a nice guy, but a terrible, terrible businessman. Our builder and our interior decorator have stopped using him because of his inconsistency, his lack of time management skills, poor quality workmanship, and zero customer service. Do not use him. I am in the process of contacting other cabinets to either fix his mistakes, or make us a completely new cabinet.

David from Knothole is extremely nice and we were looking forward to working with him. The beginning of the project and the "selling" of the project went very well. He got what we were wanting and provided samples and spent time with us. Took us on a tour of the shop, etc. It took about 6 or 7 months for the project to be completed, not including the time for quotes and they had to wait to install because our project took too long. Not their fault. However he subbed out part of the job because his shop was busy and cabinets were made a little bit too big so it threw off the balance of everything else making us forego one of our makeup mirrors and we had to exchange our sinks to accommodate the new size. We had to have them make new doors because the ones they put on the linen closet were warped. Nothing lined up. They did a great job on the window seat. It's beautiful. That looks the best of everything they did. One of the frustrating things is we had to have them keep coming back to finish things. In the laundry room they trimmed off something that didn't even match the style of everything else. Had to have them redo. Wood was warped. Constant redoes. I put off writing this review because David is so nice and they did eventually get the job done. I am really sorry to say I would not use them again nor would I recommend them to anyone else. Our contractor was the one that found them and I don't know if he is still using them. If the job was based on niceness, I would rate them an A but that is not what this is about.

I needed a small computer armoire with specific measurements because our home is small and the area in which the armoire would sit was not very big. I looked for a couple of years to find a cabinet small enough to meet our requirements. Finally, we decided to have one built and found Knothole Creations on Angie's List. David Brown came to our home and looked at a detailed drawing my husband made with the specific measurements we needed. He asked all the right questions and said he could make the armoire and install it for $2,200. We also needed David to match the stain on another piece of furniture we had in the room. He made his own drawings and brought by stain samples. The finished product is beautiful and the installation perfect. It took David and his installer about 2 hours to put the piece together but that was another added feature. If we ever had to move, the armoire comes apart piece by piece so that moving it is easier. It was a little frustrating getting the project started because we had some sort of problem with David receiving our emails. It must have had to do with spam settings or something. Once he started work on the project, communicating with him was much better.

David returned my initial call promptly, came out to provide a quote when he said he would, worked with me on the price somewhat, was able to have the work done on a weekend (very important in our line of work), and did a super job with the installation and cleanup. We're very pleased with our overall experience and will hire this company to do additional work.

David Brown, one of the owners, worked closely to design the kitchen we wanted. He had many very good suggestions and had substantial patience with our changing priorities. The workmanship was excellent, the employees were on time, and the project was completed in the specified period. Since they build their own cabinets they were able to make changes in mid-stream as we made small modifications. The cost was a little higher than other companies we looked at, but the finished product and the craftsmanship of the company was well worth the extra cost.

KNOTHOLE DOES BEAUTIFUL WORK. THEY ARE NOT REALLY FAST, BUT THEY ARE WELL WORTH THE WAIT!
