Karoly Windows & Doors

When we started our process of selecting a contractor for impact windows and doors, we went to several home shows and paper advertising. We met with five different companies. After listening to the fourth presentation, we were becoming frustrated. The presentations lasted roughly 3 hours each, and primarily consisted of explaining all the negatives of the competition. Our last company was Karoly Windows and Doors. It was refreshing to sit and talk with Karoly and have him explain the pros and cons of the different windows he offered. He is very knowledgable of the windows and installation. We also liked that he was a small business and a hands on owner. After deciding to go with Karoly, he was available whenever we had questions and concerns. The installation was professional and quick. We had an issue with one window, but Karoly ordered a new one and came and installed it within two weeks. We purchased double hung windows, a pocket slider, a front door with side lite, and a garage entry door, all impact resistant. We are extremely satisfied and would highly recommend Karoly Windows and Doors. UPDATE: After two years, we noticed the hinges on our garage man door were rusty. I contacted Karoly and he was out within a couple days and replaced the hinges. He definitely stands by his workmanship and products that he sells.

This contractor was excellent. They replaced the mill-work framing, french doors and a window in an 11 hour workday. Meticulous is the best description of the workmanship of these Hungarian craftsmen.

Karoly was very knowledgeable and efficient in providing the measurements and cost estimate. Our review of the specs going to the window manufacturer showed some changes were needed. Karoly stuck to his cost when the selected Florida manufacturer did not meet the schedule and he substituted upgraded windows from a national manufacturer. There was some learning of Palm Beach County windstorm protection requirements and Palm Beach County permitting requirements. Karoly was prompt in responding to questions and concerns. Removal of the old windows, installation of the new and clean-up went smoothly. The first inspection was failed because the inspector did not evaluate based on the fact we had installed folding shutters and were relying on them to provide the required windstorm protection. Karoly's chief installer came over and did find that some screws had not been installed. He uncovered some of the work and took pictures. The second inspector saw that we had the folding shutters, looked at the pictures and passed the installation right away. The window sill of the bay window was replaced as part of the installation but we had appearance and runoff concerns . Karoly's chief installer came over and did a superb job addressing those concerns.

Karoly is a hard working owner and gave us competitive price. They installed all the windows and doors as promised for 5 days on planned dates. His crew were amazing from the start to finish. City inspector complemented my new windows and told me that his job was flawless. I am very happy that I chose Karoly and his team.

Karoly completed the work as requested. The job took a full day and two workers to complete. The company prepared the proper paperwork, submitted all the permits, installed both sets of doors as requested, and scheduled the inspection. I'm pleased with the results.

I had the work done on two occasions. I was so pleased with the first job( three windows and a front door) I had him replace a back door.

Called and set up a meeting 3 weeks in advance for Oct. 24 due to leaving for vacation for a week. Owner showed up on time and did the proper measures and let me know he would email me the quote on Monday, Oct. 30. Never received the quote and emailed the owner in early November inquiring about it and never got a response back. We ended up investing approx. $20k with another company who we could rely on.

I can not possibly find words that are adequate enough to tell how positive our experience with Karoly’s was!!! The price is very fair for the quality of product and service. Karoly gave an in depth presentation of his products and the installation process. The crew that did the installation was very punctual and unbelievably hard workers. On top of all of this, they could not have been nicer people. Our windows and door are gorgeous, we feel ready for the next bad weather, and we look forward to lower electric bills!! I would highly recommend this company.

I dealt direct with the owner Karoly. He was very professional, He had great prices. We bought 16 windows and 3 sliding glass doors. The installation crew did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and cleaned the glass when they were done.

From start to finish we had an amazing experience working with Karoly and his crew. From the initial estimate, Karoly himself took his time to measure, discuss and review various options for replacing our doors down to the detail of the trim and finishing detail. 2 weeks later our order was in, and our doors were ready for install. Danalyn and Cynthia, Karoly's office team were always very helpful in answering any questions, and very efficient in coordinating the order, work, and inspection. The installation took approximately 2 days - the installation crew was a great team to work with. They worked efficiently as every member had their own specialty of expertise when it came to the install. When it came to finishing detail - Sylvester provided helpful input in the layout of the trim. The end result exceeded our expectations - from the quality of the doors, to the trim work, excellent service, and workmanship. We will definitely hire them again to replace our windows, and absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to replace their windows or doors.

Karoly was the only owner who came from a company to give an estimate. He not only gave a competitive quote, but, he also promised to install weeks ahead of the other companies. As with any big project, there were some hiccups, but, everything was taken care of. Employees were knowledgeable and professional and windows arrived on schedule. Everything looked beautiful after the installation. However, we have waited to write our review to check things out throug the year. Our yippee dogs, who barked at EVERYTHING and EVERYONE who went by outside, rarely every lift their heads at noises now because of such an improved sound dampening. Our electric bill went down about $30 month in the summer. Now, we are enjoying the easy to open and slide windows with the cool air. And the inside the door window blinds are amazing. Most importantly, as Hurricane Irma approached a few months ago, we simply watched out our windows while everyone else was running to get boards at the hardware stores. Our neighbors couldn't believe how loud the wind was during the storm. But, we slept through the night and barely heard the wind! We purchased Simonton Stormbreaker Plus windows and they are coastal approved for hurricane protection. If we every move within this area, I would not even consider another company other than Karoly Windows or another window brand other than Simonton. Thank you!

After looking at replacement sliding glass door and windows that were available at the big box stores and local companies I decided to go with Karoly Windows and Doors. I contacted Karoly for an estimate he promptly set up an appointment that fit my schedule. Karoly was on time, knowledgeable, personable, and very easy to work with. I never felt any sales pressure or felt like I was being upsold. We talked about what work best with the construction of my house and decided to go with the Simonton Storm Breaker product line. Karoly’s estimate was much better than the other estimates that I received. The installation crew of Sylvester, Zoli and Szabi were on time and prepared for the job. They worked tirelessly until the job was complete. The installation was clean and went extremely well. Their attention to detail was amazing. Karoly and his crew are consummate professionals and craftsmen. He is very easy to work with and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend him and will use him on future projects.

These guys are great and stand behind their work. About 4 years ago, we hired them to replace all of the windows and screens in our house. The project was flawless. They were professional and polite and did a great job (I can no longer find that review on Angies List) Last year, we replaced the siding on our house and the new contractor found an issue with some of the windows. Karolys crew came out and corrected the issue immediately. They take great pride in their work. I am very impressed with this company. Finding a contractor that is that passionate about their product and their work is something very hard to find. Approximate cost of service is from original job. Karoly did not charge to fix the windows issue.

Karoly was very responsive and professional. He came out and measured everything himself and made sure we had all our questions answered. I have numerous arch windows so I wanted to make sure he would do a good job on them and he explained how his team takes care to cut out around them to make sure they don't leak. It took about 6 weeks to get the windows ordered and when they were in his team came out and installed them in 3 days. This year we had hurricane Irma come through central Florida and the windows and doors worked like a charm with no issues. They drastically cut down the sound and I had no concerns with their stability. My neighbor had Karoly come out and provide an estimate but she went with someone cheaper and ended up having 8 windows leak. I am happy we did not go with the lowest bid and went with someone that does a professional install and stands behind their work.

Wanted a price on windows came out on time only thing that was good. did not tell me about the windows, did not know what would be getting. Gave me a price and left his price was $1,400 more than two other company's. To say I would buy from him not a chance.

Karoly and the guys replaced all 14 windows in my house (Simonton StormBreaker Plus) in one day. Delivery was quicker than originally expected and my install date actually moved up (very happy about that). Price quoted was price paid and several $thousand lower than quotes from other installers. A+++++ I could not be happier. Bonus: no day laborers, no 1099, these are all Karoly employees and they do *good* work.

From the get go, Karoly was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Karoly's team was great as well.. They arrived on time, were professional and cordial. The work was done on time and done well. They cleaned up nicely and answered all of my questions. Believe me these guys work hard in 95 plus degrees - and never a complaint and always a smile.

Our experience with Karoly and his staff has been excellent from start to finish. I mostly appreciated that their website offers an online quoting system so you don’t have to waste your time if their quote is higher than the ones you’ve already had. Their site also asks that they be the last quote you take, and we learned that it made sense because once we heard what Karoly had to say, we knew he was straightforward and honest. Karoly, being a contractor, was the only one that recognized that we did not need tempered windows. This saved us hundreds from what other salesmen had quoted us. His staff, front office and workers, were professional and courteous. They helped us with some heavy furnitures, and cleaned up after themselves. Karoly was always open for any questions we may have before, during, and after the installation. They did an amazing job with the installation (inspector said so), and windows and doors’ qualities were as promised. We’ve already recommended Karoly to friends and co-workers so make sure you give these guys a call!

They did an excellent job. They were done in one day. They cleaned up so well it was like no one had been there. The windows are beautiful!

The owner came out to talk to me about windows and options, measured the windows and doors and sent me a detailed estimate with drawings and dimensions for each window. I asked that the order be divided windows separate from doors in case I didn't do both at once (which I did end deciding to do together). The prices was competitive with other vendors, but not the lowest. I decided to go with Karoly because of knowing exactly what I was getting, the price and his willingness to meet the other estimate. The windows arrived when he estimated. The installation was completed in the time agreed upon. The workers who came to my house were professional, courteous and did their best to keep the mess at a minimum. They cleaned up after themselves and I was extremely satisfied with the installation. When the building inspector came through, he was impressed both by the windows and the quality of installation. I would highly recommend Karoly to anyone looking to install or replace their windows.

The whole process went very well. We received prompt responses to all inquiries starting with the initial request for an estimate. Installation occurred within the time frame promised. We were impressed with the installation process and with the men who performed the installation. They were professional, courteous, very thorough and just nice guys. The entire installation was completed within about 6-7 hours which we thought was good. We are very pleased with the final results. We really like the windows and the door, and we are confident that they will serve us well. The office staff was always available to answer our questions and they were very knowlegable and pleasant to work with.
