Brian the owner found out where the 4 electrical outlet shorts on the exterior and interior were coming from. Amazingly from an outlet in my Florida room which I never thought would've been the culprit. He whipped through here fast and did amazing. He does not milk the clock.

I've recommended him to several people who have had the same experience as I have. He shows up on time and gets the job done quickly. I was very happy with him. He didn't charge me extra for the parts. It was just a regular service call. He cleaned up after himself and everything was perfect after he left.
Description of Work: I had a short electrical wire and he told me what it was.

I am so glad that I have found a dependable and professional electrician. He was very honest about what could or could not be done, he did not waste any time; therefore, jobs were completed in a timely manner. I will definitely use Brian again for any electrical work.
Description of Work: Ceiling fan installed in living room, dining room light fixture replaced, 2 ceiling fans repaired, 2 outside lites installed on front garage exterior plus installed timer.

Don't waste your time trying to get a bid from this unprofessional husband-wife duo (Roberta and Brian). It took 5 calls to get Brian out to look at the job. The first appointment was canceled 35 minutes before the arrival time due to a medical emergency (which was understandable). They came out the following business day which was pretty good. However, Brian said he would call back that same day to give the estimate after he got a price on a meter box. Three days later, I called back to find out about the estimate and had to leave message on answering machine. Still no call back more than 24 hours later. Obviously, they are not interested in the project. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL CONTRACTOR. Review the other F ratings before making the mistake to call.
Description of Work: Tried to get estimate to move electric meter over two feet for underground service.

WOW!!! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO SUCH VENOM, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS NOT TRUE! WE KEEP ALL CALL LOGS AND RECORDS ON OUR CUSTOMERS. THE MEMBER IS NO EXCEPTION. WE SHOW THAT A CALL WAS MADE ON OCTOBER 19, 2008 AT 10:30 A.M. AND THAT WE LEFT A MESSAGE WITH THE PRICE AT THAT TIME. THE MEMBER NEVER CALLED US BACK. AT THAT PARTICULAR TIME BRIAN (THE OWNER) HAD TO TAKE CARE OF HIS FATHER THAT HAD BEEN ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL. WE STILL FOLLOWED UP WITH ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS AS SOON AS WE WERE ABLE TO DO SO. IF THE MEMBER CALLED "FIVE" TIMES, THEN I GUARANTEE ALL FIVE CALLS WERE RETURNED. ONE THING WE ARE VERY PROUD OF IS OUR FOLLOW UP. He was right on the button with his quote. He even did a couple of little things that had to be done. There were some things that I wanted him to do but he told me that it would cost a lot of money to have that done. I felt that he was very honest, trustworthy and straight forward.
Description of Work: This man hung two ceiling fans and rewired my trailer to the current codes. He also changed some outlets in my bathroom.

Our bathroom ceiling fluorescent lights were failing (not bright enough). We called Imperial Electric Service of Pinellas County to get an estimate for repair or replacement. Brian came over on Wednesday, 13 February, 2008, and gave us an estimate of $130. He said that the ballasts needed to be replaced and that it would take him about 30 minutes to do the work. We agreed to the estimate. He returned on Saturday, 16 February, replaced the ballasts and installed new fluorescent lamps. He completed the work in almost exactly 30 minutes. The charge was $130, as estimated.
Description of Work: Replacement of elements of our bathroom ceiling fluorescent lights (ballasts & lamp tubes).

The overall experience could not have been easier and more pleasant. He was very friendly, and understood our time constraints because we were in Florida on vacation and did not have time to wait. He was very knowledgeable, and we felt extremely comfortable with having him perform the work needed.
Description of Work: We were in the Clearwater area visiting my brother and were in need of an electrician to repair/fix some problems at his house. Because we live in Kansas City, we were unsure about finding someone reputable in another city. However, Angie's List allows you to add another city and that's how we found Imperial Electric. He came out the morning after we called, and assessed the things we needed to have done. He could come at the end of the week to do the work. The work entailed replacing two circuits on the outside panel; fixing previously shoddy work on the outlet/switch boxes inside to make them flush with the wall; then tested all the outlets to make sure they were all working properly. He finished the work in a timely, obviously knowledgeable fashion. He was also very accessible when we had questions.

I was very happy to have Brian do the work for me. He was so professional, and explained everything he did for me. I felt completely in good hands, and will certainly have him do future electrical work.
Description of Work: A home inspection report indicated that I had some wiring problems with the house. Brian checked the box, and corrected the double lugging, incorrect wiring, removed unnecessary wiring, installed junction boxes in the attic. He even inspected my sprinkler boxes, and verified that the system was working properly.

Brian was very nice and explained to me what he could do and provided cost effective alternatives to some of the things I wanted done that would just cost too much. In each room that he worked he told me exactly what work would be performed and if I was okay with what needed to be done. The work he did in my home was excellent.
Description of Work: Brian installed 3 ceiling fans and moved 2 outlets in my mobile home. He removed 2 ceiling fans that were outdated and extremely old. Mobile homes are different than regular houses and he was able to install the fans without the ugly chain hanging from the ceiling.

I called and left a message and they called back within fifteen minutes. They were able to schedule me within a day. They showed up promptly, were very pleasant and professional and the work, so far, appears to have been completed excellently.

Although he arrived late, Brian was very professional and did an outstanding job. After installation of the generator panel receptacle, he explained step-by-step to my husband and I how to turn off the main switch on the circuit breaker box and how to turn on our generator in case of a power outage. We now feel more prepared for the next big storm and/or extended power outage.
Description of Work: Installed generator panel receptacle and male and female cord caps. We decided to follow company's suggestion and have a receptacle installed rather than a transfer switch for our new generator, which saved us a lot of money.

WE OFFER FREE ESTIMATES FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK (WE DO HOWEVER, HAVE TO CHARGE FOR TROUBLESHOOTING), SO WE ARE NOT SURE WHY THE CUSTOMER WAS NOT HAPPY. UNFORTUNATELY, AS WE ALL KNOW, PRICES JUST KEEP GOING UP. LABOR, INSURANCE AND WORKER'S COMPENSATION IS VERY HIGH HERE IN FLORIDA AND HAS TO BE BUILT INTO THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS. WE HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN TOLD ON MORE THAN OCCASION, THAT OUR PRICES HAVE BEEN LESS THAN SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES. SOMETIMES, THE CHEAPEST IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST. WE ONLY HAVE LICENSED ELECTRICIANS AND DO NOT SEND ANY HELPERS OR APPRENTICES TO OUR JOB SITES. SOME COMPANIES DO THIS, AND THE CUSTOMER HAS TO PAY FOR BOTH A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN AND FOR THE HELPER. THEREFORE, THE JOB TAKES LONGER AND THE CUSTOMER PAYS FOR THE HELPER LEARNING ON THEIR JOB. HAD THIS MEMBER USED A COMPANY THAT DOES THIS, HE WOULD HAVE MOST LIKELY PAID A LOT MORE THAN WHAT WE CHARGED AS WE DO NOT DO THIS. WE STRIVE FOR PERFECTION, BUT IT SEEMS TO ELUDED US ON THIS ONE.
