+ -1 moreWe pay monthly for 24/7 computer support. Twice they have crashed our computers. They lightly admit to doing so and offer little to no support to correct their mistakes. They as well takes days to get back to you and weeks to fix. They act like they do not care! Do you research. The employees are there not to offer support but to sell as much product as they can. We will be canceling our monthly "service" with them as they do more damage than good and offer little to no true service!
Description of Work: They crashed our computers for the second time. We have Federal/government documents on here that are extremely important, as well as all personal information.

Description of Work: I had not purchased Geek Squad service, but when my printer broke and I called to ask about my extended warranty, they transferred me to Geek Squad. The Geek Squad rep, spent time trying to help me repair my printer. He then made an appointment for me to bring it into the Geek Squad desk that day for free. I no longer had the receipt for the printer. It is clearly stated on the extended warranty that the receipt is required. The Geek Squad rep. looked at the printer and told me to replace it. He then looked up the extended warranty and discovered it was for an older printer. He did a lot of research for me with my credit card and phone number, and determined that the printer did have an extended warranty, but that it was expired. He told me it was cheaper to replace it than to repair it. By the way, Best Buy gave me $5.00 off with my perferred member card, and a $30 gift card for my next visit. The guy from Geek Squad really spent a lot of time with me, and I hadn't even paid for their service. I am a fan.

+ -1 moreThe repair man arrived on time but he had no idea on how to repair an LG washing machine. He had to call LG for help. LG told him that it was the censer or the main board. The repair man ordered the censer but not the main board. I had to wait another week before he would be back to install it because he was in training for the next two day and would not be available. When he did installed the censer, the problem was not corrected. He then ordered the main board but he would not be able to install it until Aug.12th because he was in training the whole next week. They did not even over night the parts either. This machine has been out of service for three weeks now and I have no hope of having it repaired any time soon. If you buy a large appliance from Best Buy, you better hope it never brakes down. Because as far as I am concerned, their repair people couldn't find their butt with both hands and a map , mush less repair an appliance.
