I had a lot of electrical work done at my home here in Dunedin and I can't say enough good things about the folks at Palm Harbor & Dunedin Electric. From Scott and Amanda, to the technicians, Angel, Paul, Braeden, and Luke. These people are the true professionals that under promise and over deliver. They are prompt, courteous, professional and you get the straight facts when dealing with them. Nobody tries up-selling you on services you don't need. If you need to hire a company to service your home or business, look no further. They're prices are excellent and they don't try and gouge the consumer.. 10 Stars if I could give that many!

Jeff #520 did a great job and displayed excellent multitasking skills handling questions and still completing the job in a reasonable amount of time.

My wife Judy called Dunedin Electric, because we used them in the past and were happy with the service. Tom Fuller the technician was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He put my wife at ease and explained what was going on and what needed to be replaced. He replaced the GFI and a plug that was defective. The price was reasonable.

RUN FROM THEM-HERE'S WHY: Having been a loyal, satisfied customer for years, I called to set up/get an estimate on work needed for a real estate contract. I emailed my information in and, due to the urgency of the need, I followed up with a phone call the next day to find out the timing. I was transferred to the man in charge of doing the estimates and simply asked what the timing on getting this would be and he cut me off, told me I was rude to ask to jump in front of other people. I was stunned, but politely apologized that he had the very wrong idea - I was simply asking the timing and trying to explain my sense of urgency. I was in no way rude and cannot believe he said that to me. I waited for an estimate that never came, called Mr,Soarky who came the next day, did the over $2200 job and will never be calling Dunedin Electric again since, to this date (6/28) I have never heard from them. I have never been treated like this, especially having been a repeat customer. Sad that this fellow has dragged them down.

I am not sure if this company and Dunedin Plumbing are affiliated but never trust there word on how much it will be. Make sure they write down exactly the amount because they both will change it after the work has been performed and the initial cost will double. Customer Service is not professional.

Smooth ..They sent a project manager/estimator out to look at the job before sending an electrician. We had a good plan before they started.

Jim, the electrician, was prompt, professional, and thorough. He took time to explain what and how he was going to replace all the fixtures. He also checked a dimmer switch in the dining room to assure us their was no issue with the heat generated when the dimmer is on. He made sure to clean the work areas of all debris and fixture packaging. Jim was delightful to have on site.

We called to inform them that no one showed or called. We asked what happened, the receptionist said she had no clue. Didn't offer to send another electrician either. Didn't apologize for the inconvenience either. We won't be using this company again.

Work was done as promised and seems to be done well, however, the price we were quoted was about 40% below what we were charged. We are Duke Home Wiring customers, so when we lost our power, we reported it to Duke and this company was dispatched to fix the problem. The tech gave us a "temporary fix" and told us to call the company the next day to get an estimate on replacing the outside wiring since that was not covered by the Duke warranty. When we called we were told the price would be $597.00 and the work was scheduled to be done on Sept 3. On August 30, the power failed again. We called the company and they sent a tech out on Sunday am. He told us that to get the work done on that day would cost us three times the quote, but that he would try to get the work moved up since we were completely lacking power. We spent the night in a hotel and the next day a tech came out to do the repair. He said that since Duke hadn't been out to mark where it was safe to dig, he would do the wiring that day, but that the wires would have to be buried a couple of days after that. Neither the tech on Sunday or on Monday indicated that this would entail any additional charge. Today a couple of techs came out and buried the wires. When I went to pay them, they asked for $835.00. I asked for an explanation for the difference between the quote and the charge and the tech called the office. He reported that the estimator said Monday's wiring was a "temporary fix" and that was the reason for increase. That assertion is just not true. They did exactly what the quote called for. The only difference was that the work was done over two days rather than one. Again, at no time did anyone inform us that using the two step procedure would result in a 40% increase in price. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. I feel we've been over-charged and plan to report our bad experience to Duke since they dispatched the company to begin with. I found the workers, themselves, to be friendly, competent and professional. Can't say much for the estimator and presumably the management.

I recently purchased an older home in Palm Harbor, Florida. The house was built in the mid 1970's, and still had the original Zinsco main breaker panel. Not only is this panel a potential fire hazard, but most insurance companies won't insure a home with this panel. I contacted several electrical providers for quotes, and selected the Palm Harbor/Dunedin Electrical Company based not only on price, but also on responsiveness. The estimator arrived when he said he would, and wrote an estimate on the spot. We modified the estimate via email and agreed on an install date. The crew arrived when scheduled, even calling 30 minutes beforehand to advise me they were on the way. The work was done in a timely manner, with the crew working through lunch so we could turn the power back on. I discovered one circuit that didn't work about a week later and reported it. The same crew came by, checked their work (which was fine), and found that circuit was controlled by a switch that I didn't even know was there. They even salvaged my pride by telling me that they see this on a regular basis, new home owner that isn't familiar with different switches controlling different outlets, etc...and no service charge for the return visit that was a result of my own ignorance! I am VERY pleased with Palm Harbor/Dunedin Electric and highly recommend them.

Jim and Ernest were fabulous. Very thorough and professional. Went above and beyond what I had originally needed them to do but they diagnosed and fixed everything. Great experience.

He was terrific. He was efficient, and he did what was necessary. He didn't offer to fix things that were unnecessary like some other electricians from other companies have tried to do in the past. Dunedin Electric is the only company that we trust.

The fellow was on time. He was friendly and knowledgable. He worked efficiently and cleaned up everything. He was extremely kind and we had every confidence in him because he explained a lot as he worked. He is the kind of person you hope a company sends out.

It went fine. It took about two and a half hours to take down the old fans and replace with the new fans which had to be assembled. YES, I would use them again.

They were prompt, patient, knowledgeable, even when the other contractors we hired were causing them delays and extra work. I would recommend them and use them again

Jim was referred to me by a neighbor and he is absolutely awesome. Very professional, knew exactly how to resolve the situations I was having and he works diligently to try to use remaining components instead of immediately replacing with new in order to save the customer money. I was extremely satisfied with Jim and will most definitely use him in the future as well as recommend him, and this company, to others. It is so refreshing to find a company that actually cares about their customers; not how much money they can make off of them. It was a pleasure, and a relief, to find such a wonderful company to work with.

First day emergency because electrical oder and we were afraid of electrical fire. Services call came immediately Third place we called and was relieved they came.

Dunedin Electric came to the house and promply diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The technician was very courteous and professional in every respect. I highly recommend Dunedin Electric and will use them on electrical problems not covered by my Duke Home Wire Protection Plan in the future.
