The service least needed was for the pool cage screen cleaning. It was an add in so I accepted. I was told it would be a spray with a mild detergent. Everything went wrong with this. Apparently the mild detergent was not used. Cleaning chemical for the deck cleaning (chlorine) is the suspect. The technician over-sprayed the landscaping, killing several shrubs and trees, the herb garden, and damaging other plants. In fairness, DPI attempted to mitigate the damage somewhat - the damage was apparent one day after the cleaning event - by trimming out the dead branches of two jatropa trees. The damaged branches never recovered and the trees were considerably diminished. Other shrubs (ligustrum and the herb garden) were lost. The next disaster involved the lanai ceiling cleaning. I advised the tech he needed to cover the top electrical junction of a newly installed ceiling fan. I also requested he cover the newly installed lighting fixtures. He did not. In washing the ceining, he created an electrical short circuit blowing out breakers and wires embedded in concrete block and the outside outles. This outage affected both outside and inside electrical outlets. An electrician was needed to repair, which included running new wires. DPI did reimburse me for the cost of the electrician ($110). The two new lighting fixtures are damaged - pitted and rusted over, likely from the chlorine bath received during the ceiling spray. This damage did not appear until much later. The actual ceiling cleaning was successful and looked good, excepting the electrical damage. The actual deck cleaning was mostly successful. The technician used a round "scrubber" for the deck, which minimized over-spray. The tech was not good about moving plants or furniture, just cleaning around them, leaving dirty spots on the deck. Little to no effort was made to clean the deck edges overhanging the pool. I requested they be cleaned - he only sprayed them with a cleaning solution with little effect. The deck cleaning result was good but there was a grainy residue which remained which I had to rinse off. Eventually summer rains removed the "sandy" remains. The landscape wall, driveway and sidewalks cleaning were done well and were much improved. DPI was recommended by a neighbor. Mauricio was prompt with estimate and scheduling the work. He indicated he was assigning his best worker to the job. Hmmm. I would not hire this company again, but I would recommend if you do choose them, be very careful and clear with your instructions, and then monitor their work (which to me suggests it may be just as easy to do it yourself). This was my first time hiring a service to do work I normally do, but time constraints forced the decision to hire a service.

pool deck & ceiling for lanai - pool deck was left gritty and required several rinses to get all the "grit" off the deck. In several places, all paint removed from deck. Deck now requires repainting. The service used a closed circular tool rather than an open water stream pressure water gun. Ceiling Lanai - I requested tech to cover new lighting instruments installed and cover the ceiling connector for fan. He did not. This caused electrical short in circuit for outside ceiling fan, requiring an electrician (DPI reimbursed) but the lighting fixtures are now all corroded and ruined. driveway - cleaned satisfactorily sidewalk- cleaned satisfactorily landscape wall behind pool - cleaned satisfactorily landscape wall front walk - cleaned satisfactorily wash screens in pool enclosure - I was told only a mild detergent would be used. Whatever was used killed our herb garden, Ligustrum plants jatropha trees. DPI trimmed dead jatropha branches after complaints but no recovery for dead limbs. Ligustrum are mostly dead. I hired this service based on neighbor's recommendation, claiming satisfactory service for several instances. In fairness, the damage to electrical fixtures appeared later than the destruction of the garden and landscaping.
