DISCOUNT FENCES

We hired Discount Fence to tear out and removal existing wood fencing and install new PVC vinvyl fencing. They did an excellent job at a fair price. We would definitely hire this company again.

Did a great job. Nice guys, showed up when they said they would. Quality fence and work. Would recommend.

Tim 1st came to my house on a day he was scheduled to give me an estimate. I watch him up and down my street (there are only 6 houses on my street) 3 times, when I finally say and quot;Can I help you?and quot; Tim tells me that he cant do the estimate because he forgot is tape measure, so he cant measure what I need to give me the estimate. Ummm...thats your JOB. How do you not have the main tool you need in order to do your job?? Time came out a SECOND time and gave us an estimate of $2900. Went to his car, sat there, came back and said it would be closer to $4000. Drove away, and called me 5 minutes later to say and quot;uhhh I've been thinking about it, and its probably going to be closer to $5500. But I can do the job Monday. I dont have any other jobs lined up. (Should have been my 1st clue) FYI - nothing he gave us was on paper. This is just all verbal. But kept saying and quot;if you get a quote from some else thats cheaper, I'll match their priceand quot; Not do better, but match! My husband told him to go and spend $10 and buy a calculator so he can do his job ore efficiently. We had 2 other companies come out, (the two top rated on Angies list) and the price they gave us was up there with the higher quote, and they were backed up with jobs from 2-3 weeks. So based on money, and time, we called Tim back and asked him to come back out, and remeasure, and negotiated to $3500 He was able to start the following Monday. Never met a more Lazy lazy LAZY man. I never saw him before 10am, He would leave after working only two hours saying he had high blood pressure and couldnt work outside in the heat, and would leave to go home. (He has two very hard workers that we gave a tip to) Tim left caps off on the fence, forgot them, or didnt glue them down. We had to go and inspect every single thing he did. It was like babysitting a grown man, and still couldnt get it done right. Everything he installed was uneven. My husband even brought out a level to SHOW Tim that it wasnt correct. Tim didn't care My husband said to him and quot;I told you I was putting pavers on either side of the fence, and you are 2 inches off. What are you going to do about it?and quot; Tims response: and quot;I'm hanging this gate and I'm done with the joband quot; We havent heard from him since. Now I cant put in pavers as its going to drive me crazy, with uneven pavers. As far as price goes, I got a good deal, but I also got what I paid for. And I paid for a fence that drives me crazy every single day that I walk in and out of my house. There was a reason why he didnt have any business, and was able to do our fence the next week. Please learn from my mistakes. 1) arrives to the house and has no measuring system to do his job 2) gave me 3 different estimates in a matter of 20 minutes 3) was never at work before 10am and was gone at noon because he had excuses 4) pointed out the uneven work, and he could care less

We have a wooden fence put up by another contractor - the left gate wasn't working anymore and amp; the original fence co couldn't come out until the beginning of July. Called Angie's List and amp; got their name, called him, and amp; said he could come out Sat June 29 - they came as scheduled and amp; replaced bolts in both gates so the left gate opens properly now - great job!!!

The price was $1300 at first then he came up with some other stuff that raised the price. They left a hole in some of the fence. You don't want to send this guy to your house.

Tim did a great job for us! The backyard fence he installed is perfectly aligned, sturdy and attractive. He works with individual pressure treated boards, so there were no awkward and quot;fudged-placesand quot; where he made Standard Panels fit. I'm a Register Professional Engineer and I was pleased with the strength and skill applied in the installation. If that wasn't enough, Tim was a professional and collaborative problem solver on the places where the new fence needed to join existing fences. And he was there when he said he be there, and completed the work in two days. No question about it ..... solid A+ work!

Tim did a great job. He started job a few days ahead of quoted date and was done in four days. Also did some work for my neighbors and they were happy. Overall great experience. Would hire again.

While Tim's personality isn't necessarily warm, he is direct and to the point. Within 30 minutes of my call he was at my property to inspect the fence. Another company wanted only to replace it but Tim said he could repair it and I'd maybe get another 3-4 years out of it. He and one of his guys were here promptly the next morning and the fence was repaired by noon. They removed and replaced 4 posts, set them in concrete, and applied new boards where needed, and cut back the neighbor's shrubbery. I am very happy with their work.

It didn't go at all since he never showed up.

Tim was rude and hung up on me. He refused to do the work. He was extremely unprofessional.

After the tonado, he left a card on the front door. Numerous calls to other local fence companies and amp; no reponse or very delayed response, called upright and amp; are very happy with the work.

It took two days to do the job. The sellsman came out when they first came out but did not show up again or called us to see how we liked the fence or if they were problems with the fence. We had to go the the company to get some of the problems taken care of. My daughter and I walked around to check out the fence and found more problems with it. No one else came out to check out the fence like they said they were going to do. The owner is really nice and try to make sure everything is correct. I have to call the owner the get the problems fixed.

Great experience. Listened to what I wanted and did a great installation job. We had a Tornado touch down in our neighborhood in April and many fences were blown apart. Not ours...it's still standing.

It was relatively inexpensive for the entire fencing. It was a very good deal compared to what a home improvement store had originally quoted. It was a good experience. Everything was fine. He had his workers come out every day and they installed the fence maybe in about a week. I think it was just a little bit more work than what he anticipated. But that wasn't my issue. He took care of it. He actually put a flyer on my door and on my neighbor's door. She called and said she was having them come out and give her an estimate. I wanted him to also give me an estimate and we made a deal between the two of us with him. I would use him again in the future if I ever needed to.

Overall things went very well - we have no complaints and it has now been almost 3 years and our fence is still looking beautiful and holding up great!
