 + -1 moreCalled this morning. Derrin came out today, at a time convenient to me. He removed a very stubborn broken door knob set without damaging the door. He replaced it with a great unit that is easier to work with (this is on an outside door). He then creatively modified a washer to repair a long-standing problem with our front door set. He was friendly, worked quickly, and knew what he was doing.
Description of Work: Replaced a broken door knob and repaired a second door knob.

 + -1 moreWent great, just called up and scheduled the appt, got a rough estimate over the phone based on what I needed done. The locksmith showed up when he was supposed to, did his thing and was polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Was able to do all the re-keying and key cutting on site.

 + -1 moreEverything went well. Locksmith was polite and friendly. Since we both served in the Navy, we hit it off great. This company is very professional and they won't sell you, what you don't need. If I ever need a locksmith, Countryside Locksmith, will be the only one, on my list. l
Description of Work: There was a home break in, in my neighborhood, and I wanted to make sure, my locks were up to standard. I was prepared to install new ones, if needed. Derrin Sheehan came to my home. He looked to see what I needed in door locks. After viewing both front and back doors, also my sliding glass window, he informed me, I was already in good shape. And he gave me a few good tips on home security. I asked him, if I owe him for his call, because, I believe any home tech should be paid for a call. Derrin said no charge.

 + -1 moreEverything handeled with a phone call. If I ever have a real lock problem I would call this company again.
Description of Work: Called to obtain service for balky dead bolt, explaining I had used graphite and it hadn't helped. I was told graphite was not good to use in Florida and that WD40 was a much better solution. The dead bolt was very simple to take apart clean and lubricate. I am grateful for contacting an honest professional who could easily have charged me for a house call for this simple solution.

He was able to respond to my "non-urgent" issue within 1-2 hours, completed the repair within 30 minutes and was within range of his initial estimate (very important!). He ended up being just as friendly in person as on the phone and I will absolutely call them again.

Description of Work: I recently purchased a house and wanted the locks changed; more specifically, I had an idea of what I wanted and why when I called this company. I had never engaged the services of a locksmith before, so really didn't have clear expectations of what to expect. What I received, first, was excellent customer service via the telephone as the owner discussed with me at great length, what I wanted/was trying to accomplish. Since this is a small family-owned business I didn't expect such time taken with me, particularly at the point when I had not yet decided to do business with them. The company was prompt both by email and phone as discussed above, so once my requirements/needs were addressed by phone, I did make an appointment for them to come out. I was delighted to be dealing with one of several brothers that are part of this company. He was on time, fun and friendly, comfortable to talk to, took care of business (key pad lock; re-keyed deadbolt; re-keyed garage side door) and was thorough about making sure I was comfortable with what was done. Although I don't have anymore locks to change, I certainly would do business with this company again!

 + -1 moreI found this company on Angie's List, and called and spoke wth Dan. I let him know that my tenant in my rental property had requested to rekey all the locks due to her losing a key. Dan gave me a very competitive price over the phone and outlined all possible charges to avoid any "hidden fees". I coordinated all the details with Dan and asked him to contact me when the job was complete. He did everything as he promised he would. He also offered to send me the extra keys directly. I followed up with my tenant to make sure she was happy with his services as well and she was. He was really polite, professional, and responsive. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Rekeyed 5 locks on condo rental property. Provided 2 "Do Not Duplicate" Keys and also 2 regular keys.

 + -1 moreDerrin came to the house on a Saturday morning. He was professional, knowledgeable, and a perfectionist. Not only did he install a new locking mechanism but he explained in detail that the "resetting" key is not to be used. He also explained the proper procedure in using this resetting key which is new to the market.
Description of Work: Newly installed Schllange lock did not work. The contractor did not read the directions and gave us the "grey or blue" resetting key as a key to use. By me using this key, I locked "the lock."

 + -1 moreIt was very easy to schedule an appointment with this company. I had an appointment within two days and for the late afternoon since I work and could not get home until 4:30pm. Dan Sheehan efficiently removed the original hardware and packaged them to be returned to Home Depot. He installed the new handle and lock and tested my keys to be sure they worked. He moved the latch frame over so the new bolt would slide in better since it was wider than the original one. He even helped me place all my keys on a new key ring. The service was very efficient and professionally done and the new lock works perfectly.

He just made three keys and did not try and talk me into having the door rekeyed. He called before he arrived and went right to work. I would certainly call them again and would refer them to anyone who needs a locksmith.

I could tell that Countryside has been in business for a long time, as they are very knowledgeable about home security in general. We decided to go ahead with the work. Dennis ordered the parts that matched our existing lock sets, and came back out and replaced them with Medeco high security locks. He also took our registration information, since the keys are controlled thru professional locksmiths. We are very pleased with the work they did. Dennis is polite, professional and has a very good knowledge of the industry. We recommend Countryside Locksmith to everyone.
