Description of Work: Climate Design replaced my older a/c unit and air handler. I had received other quotes that were higher for the exact same units. Work was done on the exact day I had requested. Extreme care was taken to protect my walls & floors. The gentlemen were polite, efficient, friendly, and careful. They did not have the new thermostat with them, but while the work was being done someone delivered so it was here by the time they were ready to install it. Smooth and seamless experience!

Description of Work: My ac was cooling down to 76 degrees, but it was running constantly. It would not cool below 76 degrees. I called Climate Design and they sent a repairman out the next day, a Saturday. The repairman spent about 20 minutes looking at the outside and inside unit. He called me upstairs to look at the coil on the inside unit. He showed me a lot of rust on the coil and indicated that it must be leaking in several places. He also said there were problems with the outside unit and that the both units had to be replaced. I was somewhat in disbief, as the system was only 11 years old and had been serviced regularly. I asked if he could at least add a little freon so I could stay relatively cool until Monday when he was going to send a salesman to my house. He refused saying I needed a new coil and 5 pounds of freon. The freon would cost $90.00 a pound and the coil $1200. With labor the bill would be about $2000 and it wasn't worth it. A salesman came on Monday and agreed that I needed a new unit. He explained that the repairman was one of his best and that the AC units were made in 2000 and were past their lifetime. I told him that the house was bought new and that the move in date was December 2001. He wrote up an estimate for close to $7000. I told him I would think about it but that I was going to get a second opinion. Another AC company came out. They told me that I needed a new accumulator and some freon. They also said I did not need a new A C system and they had never heard of charging $90.00 a pound for freon, as it doesn't cost any where near that figure. It is much less than $90.00. They fixed the system for $400.00 and it is running fine. No services were performed and an $89.00 service fee was charged.

Description of Work: These are honest people with no pressure sales. There are no gimmicks or hidden costs. They charged what they said they would in the estimate. I have delt with them since 1985.
