Everything went well.

The attention to detail and follow up went excellent. The salesman Jamie stayed with us through out the entire project. The installation was on schedule and stayed within the estimate. We have been very pleased with the quality of the doors and windows. We intend to use them again.

Limited space for comments, read reviews under windows for CWand D. Measure of a company is when there are problems, not when things are easy. Caveat emptor (Buyer Beware) with this co. Door arrived damaged. Mfg. (Sales) stated that it was not correct or in spec. Months of stress / frustration ensued. Unreturned phone calls, misstatements, and miss-handling a bad product, culminated with the arrival of my repaired door which in my opinion was sloppy and ineffective. Mfg. (customer services) said it sounded like I should get a new door. Thankfully the distributor called me, had remembered the door as defective and with apologies said he would make a new one. It would have been nice to have had this response from CWand D. Approx. 20 weeks after my order, I have just received my correctly mfg door. Many weeks with plywood over front door.

I think the installation was adequate, but working with the contract person was frustrating, because it was not timely.

The manager of the company, Jamie Jackson, and his contractor, met at my home on a Friday to discuss the method of which our new windows we wanted to purchase would be installed. After the meeting, Mr. Jackson measured our windows and told me he would call on Monday with an estimate of the cost. I did not hear from Mr. Jackson for one week. I then called the contractor and left a message wondering why I had not heard from the company. It was only then that Mr. Jackson called me. I do not want to do business with a company that does not follow through with their word. I can only imagine if I had a problem with the windows that I would ever receive a phone call back.

I DECIDED NOT TO GO WITH THIS COMPANY BUT ONLY BECAUSE I WAS ABLE TO NEGOTIATE A LESS COSTLY WINDOW REPLACEMENT WITH COMPANY ''B''. I DID THAT BY USING A LOCAL COMPANY THAT MANUFACTURES AND INSTALLS THEIR OWN PRODUCT THAT USES IMPACT RESISTANT GLASS RATHER THAN LARGE MISSILE IMPACT GLASS MEETING MIAMI DADE CODE(WHICH CLEARWATER WINDOW QUOTED ME AT MY REQUEST) I OTHERWISE WOULD RECOMMEND CLEARWATER WINDOW AND DOOR. THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE(JAMIE) WAS PROMPT,PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIVE. HE APPEARED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE REGARDING THE PRODUCTS UNDER CONSIDERATION AND REGARDING MY SPECIAL INSTALLATION NEEDS IN RETROFITTING A 2 STORY CONDO. HE EXPLAINED THAT MY ESTIMATE WOULD BE HIGHER THAN USUAL DUE TO THE EXTRA WORK INVOLVED IN A PROPER AND WELL COMPLETED INSTALLATION. A WRITTEN ESTIMATE WAS DEVELOPED IN UNDER A WEEK AND MAILED TO ME. NICE JOB!

THEY DID THE DOORS WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO AND IT TOOK THEM TWO DAYS TO INSTALL THE WINDOWS (WHICH IS FINE THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE THAT LONG). ONE OF THE SLIDING GLASS DOORS DID NOT HAVE THE ROLLERS. THEY WERE TO COME OUT AND REPLACE THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR, A SCREEN FOR A BATHROOM WINDOW. THEY WERE ALSO TO REPLACE A PLASTIC LATCH FOR THE SLIDING SCREEN DOOR THAT WAS BROKEN DURING INSTALLATION. THAT WAS EIGHT WEEKS AGO AND THEY KEEP SAYING THAT IT WILL BE DONE ON TUESDAY AND NO ONE SHOWS. NOW WHEN I CALL I AM LUCKY IF SOMEONE CALLS ME BACK. WHEN THEY DO CALL BACK THEY KEEP SAYING THAT IT WILL BE NEXT TUESDAY AND THEN NO ONE CALLS OR COMES, OR WHEN THEY DO CALL I GET ANOTHER DATE OR "WE DON'T KNOW WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE".

WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT ON JULY 16TH AND THEY ARE FINALLY SUPPOSED TO INSTALL THE DOORS ON AUGUST 25TH. THEY HAD ORIGINALLY TOLD US THEY WOULD PAINT THE DOORS FOR $200, NOW THEY ARE TELLING US THEY DON'T PAINT DOORS AND WE WOULD HAVE TO USE SOMEONE ELSE AND IT WOULD COST $400. WE HAVE TRIED TO CALL THEM SEVERAL TIMES TO DISCUSS THIS, WHEN WE FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK THEY CANNOT GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER. THEY KEEP TELLING US THEY WILL GET BACK TO US. THEY HAVE ALSO TOLD US THAT IF THE DOORS CANNOT BE PAINTED BEFORE THE 25TH THEY WILL READJUST THE INSTALLATION DATE. THIS PRESENTS EVEN MORE OF A PROBLEM FOR US BECAUSE WE HAVE TO SCHEDULE OUR SECURITY COMPANY TO COME ON THE SAME DAY AS THE DOOR INSTALLATION. THIS IS A SALE OF $3700, SO NOT A SMALL JOB, THERE ARE THREE DOORS THAT ARE TO BE INSTALLED AND PAINTED.

WORKERS WERE GOOD, POLITE, INSTALL CREW CLEANED UP, KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY DID NOT MIND ME ASKING QUESTIONS. JAMIE WAS THE SALESMAN, DID NOT SELL ME ANYTHING I DID NOT NEED. A BIG THANKS.

SALESMAN WAS LATE FOR APPT. TRIED TO CONTACT COMPANY BUT NO LUCK. THEN I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED AFTER HOLIDAYS AND THAT STILL HASN'T OCCURRED. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE OF THIS COMPANY. WHEN I TALKED TO WITH THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY, HE SAID THE SALESMAN HAD SOME FAMILY PROBLEMS AND APOLOGIZED BUT FOLLOW-UP STILL HAS NOT OCCURRED.

THEY WERE RESPONSIVE AND FRIENDLY WHEN PROVIDING INITIAL INFORMATION, BUT FOLLOW-UP IS WHERE IT COUNTS, AND THEY DROPPED THE BALL.

FROM OUR INITIAL MEETING, TO MEASURING AND ESTIMATING TO INSTALLATION, EVERY STEP WAS A PLEASURE. THEY DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB, NEVER TIRING OF ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. SHOWED UP ON TIME, EVERY TIME. I PROBABLY COULD HAVE GOTTEN IT DONE A LITTLE CHEAPER, BUT THE PEACE OF MIND AND QUALITY OF WORK WAS WORTH IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE CONSIDERING WINDOW REPLACEMENT.
