I initially had a challenge getting the work scheduled, but I attribute that to the fact that they probably had a high response to the deal offered. When I did get the work scheduled the crew was prompt, worked hard and completed more work than I had even anticipated. I was very pleased with Chapman's and plan to hire them for additional work in the future.
Description of Work: 4 hours of Spring Clean Up yard work for $135.

+ -1 moreThese folks are great! They arrived at the promised time to give me an estimate. Then we agreed they would do an initial clean up, followed by weekly service. They have been maintaining my yard for about 2 months now. They have done a great job every step of the way. If it is raining on their scheduled day, they show up the next day. They have also been very good about making sure the gate is closed when they leave so my dogs don't get out. They mow, edge and keep the hedges and shrubs well trimmed and pruned. I got 3 estimates and not only were they the cheapest, they were the most professional. I hope to continue using them for many years to come. It is so nice to come home on Tuesdays to perfect yard!

+ 1 moreI looked for years for a landscaping company that would do more than just cut, edge and blow. I travel out of town on business and am home on the weekends only. I told Dane I needed a service that would handle all aspects of my lawn care needs. They mow. edge and blow, but also trim my shrubs, weed my landscaping, apply fertilizer and weed treatments, maintain my sprinkler system and anything else related to my lawns. They let me know when mulch needs replaced and handles that too once they have my approval. The lawn crew is meticulous when it comes to how I like things done and always are professional. My hedges were overgrown and scraggly when I hired Dane. He made reccomendations for some heavy pruning and maintenance which was all included. After 2 years they have grown in fully and look awesome. If you need someone to care for your lawn like their own Chapmans is the company for you.

+ 0 moreMr. Chapman came out and listened to what I wanted. He gave me a quote and a date he could do the work. He came with his work crew to clean up the space and get it ready to plant. On the appointed day he came and checked the work area with his person in charge of planting. His work crew showed up and did the work. They were clean, professional and polite. I will hire them again when it needs trimmed and cleaned up.
Description of Work: Chapman's cleaned up my yard both front and back and planted approximately 52 plants. They were very professional and did exactly what they said they would do for the price they gave me.

+ -1 moreIt was rocky. At their best, they did a very good job, but there were a lot of things they did or didn't do that made us unhappy. It's a relationship that is better severed.
Description of Work: Our ideas about what needed to be done didn't always agree. During the initial cleanup they cut down a couple of small bushes I wanted saved, ignored my instructions to leave the bamboo alone (they sheared it), and cut down a seedling tree I told them to save.. During that same initial cleanup they cut the wire supplying power to the air conditioner. I didn't realize it until they were gone. It was a Friday afternoon, and I couldn't get any service until Monday, making for an extremely uncomfortable weekend. They didn't want to take responsibility for the problem, but finally agreed to share the cost when they realized I wouldn't contract with them unless they did. But when I asked how we should handle their half of the payment, they ignored me, so I finally simply deducted the amount from their monthly bill. On the other hand, when things were going right, they were very professional. They brought in very large equipment, worked fast, and finished their job quickly. We parted company because they wanted a contract with the same price every month, even though there wasn't much to do during the cold months except sweep the sidewalks. Heads up, Listers. If I had been more careful in reading other reviews about this company, I would have realized that we would not be a good fit for each other. Make good use of those reviews before contracting someone.

+ 0 moreThey are very pleasant. But, I have had to complain about the same things over and over (lawn not cut evenly, hedges not cut right, dead tree no removed, edging not done). They are nice people, but I feel like I have to complain about things that are in the contract that should be done. Their work is very borderline. Some weeks they do okay, and other weeks it looks like they were in a rush.

+ 3 moreThis is a family run business. They are so nice and take care of any problems or areas that need special attention. They may be a little higher than some, but I have had less expensive companies that are hard to deal with and don't do the job. These people are very professional. Even my neighbors have started hiring them and I am sure it's because of my yard.
