All 3 times they have been here, we have been extreamly pleased! The have quickly identified the problem have had the parts replaced them and they have all worked since. Good price, service and people!

Well. Determined the stove was not defective and orange flame not caused by parts or stove problem (verified with manufacturer). Determined that gas company must have added something to the mixture to cause the change. Gas company denied any changes. Issue cleared up in several days....but then reoccurred again.

We had had him a couple of months back for another problem on the same appliance and as luck would have it, I asked him to check the hose connection to the washer. He found it just about to rupture and flood the study which is full of electronics; phones,computers, TV, etc. It would have been a disaster. When we couldn't get the control panel to behave, despite reading and following the manual, we didn't hesitate to call Better Homes for service. I'm hoping we don't have to see them any time in the near future :-) but should we, we know the service will be excellent.

We noticed the refrigerator leaking a little after 5 pm on Friday. I shut off the water to the refrigerator and called Better Homes. I was given a choice of times when a tech would arrive. I chose early the next day (Saturday). Jim arrived about 8:30 am and left us with a repaired refrigerator less than an hour later! We have used Better Homes for years now for any of our major appliances that needed service. Their techs have always been very professional and always leave the work area neat and clean.

Called before 8:00 AM. Asked that tech come late afternoon. Was given time frame of 4 - 7 and tech came at 6:30 PM. He was very efficient, knowledgeable and work took less than 20 minutes.

This experience was great from the phone call to schedule the appointment right through Kevin getting the job done. They were able to come out the same day, and Kevin knew exactly what was wrong when he walked in the door and saw the stove. He was very personable, reminded me of the $20 off coupon they offer for Angies List customers, and went so far as to give me some advise on other appliances in the house. I will definitely use this company again in the future when I have appliance issues.

Kevin came out for a diagnostic service visit on our Maytag Neptune dryer. He replaced the electrical cord. When the issue was not resolved, he provided an estimate for repair that was well within reason (replace electrical component board), but in excess of want we were prepared to spend on a 12 year old dryer. Kevin made recommendations on brands to consider when we replace the dryer. He was prompt, knowledgeable and pleasant.

MALE in the house punched the start button on our washer so hard that it ended up lopsided and under the 'collar', then tried to pull it out with a pair of pliers. GRRRRRR... I started looking up appliance repair on the List and decided to give Better Homes a try. Their diagnostic charge was $25 less than the last one that I used. I was given a 3 hour window and he showed up as promised. He diagnosed the problem as the interface needing to be replace & quoted $270 for the repair and said it would take a week to get the part. He came back a week later with the part & discovered that it was the wrong part - Whirlpool had changed the parts used in manufacturing part way thru the model year - 2007 - and the actual part needed would cost $450 and take another week to get. He explained that there error was due to the fact that the resources the company used hadn't indicated the change in model parts mid-year. I couldn't see spending 2/3 the cost of a new washer on repairs, and declined to do so. He actually agreed with me. He returned the original deposit and charged us the original diagnostic amount. There was no pressure.

They came out to examine the problem. Ordered the parts. Called me to ask when they could return. I didn't have to call them. Fixed it satisfactorily.

scott replaced the burner and checked out the ovens to make sure there were no further issuse was prompt honest and completed service very quickly after ordered part arrived

I called the service on Sunday and was given an approximate time of arrival on Monday (this morning). Jim arrived early and did a fantastic job replacing the venting tube to the drier which had broken loose, cleaning out everything out to the outside vent which removed a load of lint inside and out, and put it back together. I asked him to check the hoses on the washer as well and he found that one was just about to rupture; there was a bulge about to pop for sure. He replaced the rubber hoses with steel wrapped and found that the hot and cold taps were reversed - in a more modern machine this would have created a problem. Ours are 7 years old and it didn't.His careful work avoided a huge mess and he was very professional throughout. We have used Better Homes before and always been satisfied.

Did not happen Terrible customer service

We subscribed to Angie's List to specifically find an appliance repair service. The company we chose from Angie's List, Better Homes A/C and Appliance, Inc. lived up to our expectations. This company asked the right questions when we made the appointment, arrived exactly on time, diagnosed the problem, explained what had to be done and did it. Larry, the technician, did an excellent job. The repair cost seemed nominal and they honored the on-line $20. off coupon with no questions asked. Will definitely call this company in the future.

Found my refrigerator was at 85 degrees when I woke up in the morning. Called Better Homes, they scheduled the appointment for that morning. They contacted us prior to arrival, they were on time, identified the problem as the main computer board had burnt out, had the part in stock, fixed the refrigerator and done in about an hour. Very professional and would definitely use them again.

Better Homes came out and gave an estimate to repair our refrigerator. The compressor needed to be replaced. The service man was extremely professional and helpful. He even offered to set up our fan to blow on the coils to help keep our refrigerator cool (while the part was being ordered). The part shipped quickly and our refrigerator was repaired 2 days later. We have used this company in the past, and I would highly recommend them.

I called and them came the next day. They determined what was wrong with the washer and installed a new part. They cleaned up any mess the installation caused and they also came on time. They were very professional.

From the first call to schedule a visit to technician's (Kevin) departure, I received friendly and efficent service. Communicatiin was excellent and Kevin was careful in his diagnosis and recommendation for repair. He reminded me of $20 off coupon and educated me for better washer maintenance.

It was a great experience. We haven't had any problems with the quality of their repairs. I would use them again in the future.

Basically this company does not seem to have an inventory system. I need a new drain pump for my Kitchenaid dishwasher and wanted to know if they had one in inventory. I was able to provide the make, model and serial numbers. The person I talked to did not know if they had the part or had any way of finding out, and did not have anyone who could find out and call me back. All they could do was schedule a repairman to come see for himself if that was indeed the problem and maybe just maybe he would happen to have the part on his truck. I found this odd. How could you not know your own parts inventory? I called 2 other appliance repair shops and they were able to tell me immediately that the part was not in stock and would have to be special ordered. This is useful knowledge to have. It results in only having to schedule one service call instead of 2. Why should I take 2 days off work when I only need to take one? So I'm going with a company that guarantee they have the replacement part on the truck when they show up at my door.

My 6-7 year old GE oven was not heating to the proper temperature. I called a different repair company who disassembled my oven, ordered a new part, and then wouldn't return my calls to install the new part. Out of frustration, I called Better Homes who set up an appointment for a service technician. The service tech arrived at the scheduled time, called ahead as I had requested, and was clean and professional. He investigated the entire issue and said what he thought was wrong. Without the wiring diagram, he didn't want to make any changes to the oven's wiring though. He recommended that I call GE to have an authorized service technician come out with the wiring diagrams. GE determined that the oven issue was the problem that the Better Homes technician believed it to be. I appreciated their service and knowledge and would recommend them to any future customer.

referred to the list for preferences. called. receptionist was friendly, helpful and efficient. Technician was dispatched that same day. He came, diagnosed but had to await parts. The parts came, a second date was set and he made the necessary installation. And we all lived happily ever after.

Kevin came out to our house, and he was awesome. He fixed everything. If he did not have the parts, he let us know when he could get them. He gave us a really fair price. He explained everything and was really thorough.
