Larry was the technician. He was very professional about answering my call and setting up the appointment within the next day or so. Arrived on time and went right to work. He knew the cause of the problem immediately and had the needed equipment on his truck, as I had described it on the phone. So he replace the Solenoid on the washer, ran and tested it to make sure everything was OK. I will call this company again for appliance repairs, and I will ask for Larry.

Oh, and by the way: our dishwasher is no longer leaking all over the floor.

Paul arrived on time, briefly and formally introduced himself. I showed him the washer and he quickly went to work. Within a few minutes, he called me back to the laundry room to show me his findings and indicated his course of action. He was done in a few minutes....I also asked Paul to check my microwave oven which I had not previously called in for. He was more than willing to assess why the turntable had stopped running, then make his recommendations for repair. A new motor was ordered after I approved of the repair and I made a small deposit toward the new part. The company will call to schedule a follow up appointment when the parts arrive.

CALLED THIS COMPANY YESTERDAY AND SOMEONE CAME OUT TODAY TO FIX MY WASHING MACHINE. AS SOON AS HE LOOKED AT MY WASHING MACHINE HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS WRONG AND REPLACED THE BROKEN SAFETY SWITCH.

Service Tech was very nice and explained the repairs needed.

Refrigerator was not defrosting properly which overheated the unit and stopped cooling. One call and Robert showed up same day. Diagnosed the problem and had to order a part. Part came in within a day and Robert came back and fixed it ASAP... Robert explained every step to me, no surprises at all. Price was very fair.

My dishwasher is back working again for ~1/3 the price of having to buy another. Thank you Better Home, you rock!

Perfect. Bob recognized the problem immediately and he knew just what to do. Better yet, he showed me how to fix it myself so I could avoid a service call in the future.

It went great! it's a new tenant and they contacted her right away and made an appointment that fit her schedule.

Larry tested & examined existing ice maker to verify whether only a part was needed to be replaced or a new ice maker was needed. I asked him questions as he was performing the tests and he took the time to explain what he was doing and what the function of the various parts are. Ultimately, I needed a new ice maker which he had stocked in his truck. He also noted that one of the door handles on the refrigerator was loose and took the time to adjust it at no charge. I was very happy with the overall service.

My refrigerator was burned by an electrical surge. I called in the morning and Larry was out by 1pm. He gave me the estimate of what it would cost to fix the refrigerator and the chance of it working appropriately again. I decided to get a new one instead of trying to fix the singed and very smelly one I had. Larry was very respectful of my decision. He gave me direction on how to file a claim with the power company and how to get the smell out of the fridge. He left his card in case I changed my mind or had any further questions. I would certainly hire Better Homes A/C and Appliance Service again.

He discovered that certain buttons were only halfway depressed, but looked like they were engaged.

I can't say enough good things about the professionalism and efficiency of this company. Their price for a service call is also $20 less than one of the other local top-rated appliance repair companies on Angie's List. I was given a 3 hour window for when they would arrive, but Kevin phoned to confirm it would be okay to come 15 minutes before noon. He evaluated the dishwasher and quickly determined the problem (it was our hot water dispenser which was on the same circuit). He gave be some good advice as to how to keep the dishwasher functioning well. Additionally, he asked me if I had questions about any other appliances that he could answer. Hopefully, we won't have problems with any other appliance but if we do we will definitely use Better Homes A/C and Appliance again.

They were fast at knowing what the issue was and fixing it.

I have not had a problem since. They were very conscientious and did a few things they did not have to make sure it was all working.

Better Homes responded to our call the same day we placed it. The serviceman checked out the problem. After working on the appliance for a half an hour, he informed us that the problem needed to be handled by GE factory service. Because Better Homes had to refer the problem, there was no charge for the service call. This is what we call excellent service.

I cannot imagine ever using another company to perform services on any kitchen appliance in my home. They are honest, reliable, efficient, and when they leave you never know they have been here. Chris arrived on time as always (I have used the company before) and replaced the bulb for me quickly and efficiently. I cannot say enough positive things about this company and how it is managed.

Anytime I have any issues with my appliances they are the only company that I am ever going to use. The refrigerator is running perfectly now. They were a little bit early for the appointment and ask me if it was okay to come in early too. The first time the computer board went out and the freezer had stopped working and the second time the heating element so that the cold air flows from the freezer into the refrigeration part had frozen solid so the heater had to be replaced.

I called Better Homes A/C & Appliance Inc in December because my partner's brother killed my $800 washing machine. He punched the start button and broke it. I called a couple of places and this was the one I chose. They told us that I had to replace the mother board. This would have cost over half of the original cost of the machine. So I decided to buy a new one. The brother likes to take things apart, so he pulled it all apart and what was missing was a small spring behind the start button. The mother board was perfect: there was no indication of any wrong with it. That machine was only about 3 or 4 years old and it was a high quality machine. They just wanted me to spend $450 and the problem was a spring? It could have been that the guy didn't know what he was talking about, of course. They charged $50 dollars to come out and diagnose the problem, which is taken off the price of the repair if they do the job. They had to order the part, which was going to take a week. He came out to put the part in and it turned out to be the wrong part! Apparently, in the manufacturing process they had changed a part halfway through the year, and they had the wrong part and had to order it again. I had to give a deposit for the part and they were only going to refund $50 of it because that was the cost of the diagnosis.

Repair was scheduled for the next day between 8-11am. Larry arrived at 10. He immediately knew the problem was the transmission drive coupler. He said it would be $178, he had the parts in the truck and it would take 30 minutes. He took care of it quickly, professionally and the washer works fine again.

Guy showed up on time. Spent 2 minutes looking at bottom of washer. Said he would give an estimate. Collected check for $49.95. Called on Monday following site visit and said parts & labor would exceed value of washer. Asked about what a good washer he'd recommend. He said to look at Consumer Reports. In my opinion, it was a waste of $50. Not sure if this company fixes anything.

Dishwasher would not start. Tech. Brian came to the house, on time. He found some electrical problem and repaired. Have used this company 3-4 times in the past. Excellent technicians

Service man was very helpful and professional. When projected cost of repair was known, I decided not to have the repair done, but to buy a new washer instead. Service man gave me the options, but did not push me one way or the other.
