The office person responsible for scheduling service return my Sunday call assistance within an hour or so (on a Sunday!), and put us on the calendar for the next day. The technician, whose name was Larry, was prompt, cordial, neat, and explained everything thoroughly. He had to order a new heating element. It got to town by FedEx faster than he'd anticipated, so he returned three days early to install it. He also cleaned out the exhaust line, thoroughly cleaned the dryer's insides, and installed a new discharge collar to keep the exhaust line from kinking and collecting lint again. He was pleasant, and took the time again to explain what he was doing and answer questions. We were grateful and impressed.

Exceeded expectations. Better Homes responded to my request with a service call later the same day. The technician (Larry) arrived as scheduled, listened carefully to my explanation of the problem, located the issue (condenser motor), explained what needed to be done and the cost of the repair, and repaired the refrigerator quickly. Very professional..

Excellent. Called Better Homes around 10:00A and Technician showed-up at 1:30P the same day! David, Service Tech, provided exceptional service. Explained and resolved the problem (freezer drain line), cleared the drain line and cleaned the coils, explained how temperature controls for Freezer and Fresh Foods Section really works, and recommended settings which should help lower my energy bill. He answered every question asked and provided great advice on appliance care. Angie's List Discount Coupon for $20 off labor was readily accepted.

I called last evening after normal business hours. They returned my call and scheduled a service call for this morning. Larry arrived per schedule and quickly diagnosed problem(s). He had parts on truck to make repair, but due to age of refrigerator and repair costs I decided not to make the repair. Since they had been here a couple of months ago for a refrigerator repair they did not charge me for the service call. I will continue to use them and recommend them for appliance repairs.

Around 4pm I discovered that my fridge was not cooling. I called Better Homes, and they sent someone out within a couple of hours. Brian found the problem and had the part on the truck, fixed the problem and cleaned up. I am so impressed with this company. This is the 3rd time we have used them and each time we have had a good experience. Their quick response saved us a lot of money by saving the food and medicine in the fridge.

David showed up on time, was professional and friendly, and did a great job! He quickly found the problem and fixed it on the spot. We will definitely use their services again.

Scheduling appointment was prompt and courteous. Technician arrived per schedule. He was knowledgeable, courteous, took time to explain issues in an understandable way, had parts on hand, and quickly made repair. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them based on my experience.

After unloading groceries, we parked in our usual legal parking spot adjacent to our driveway with ample room behind our vehicle ? for anyone pulling into or out of the driveway across the street. At 1:38 PM, the same service provider backed out of the neighbor's driveway pulling close and parallel to our vehicle with his hand out the window attempting to touch our vehicle. We opened the curtains to take a photo of this unusual behavior. When the serviceman saw us, he proceeded to flip us off and then scream out his window, "Move your car!" ? before speeding out of our neighborhood well over the posted speed limit. The serviceman's level of hostility in this situation was not only unnecessary, but threatening. We would never hire, nor would we allow someone so openly hostile into our home for any reason. We attempted to call the company to report this incident. Although their recording stated that they were open until 3:00 PM, we had to leave 2 separate voice mail messages at 1:45 PM and again at 1:50 PM. We notified them that we took photos and also had video from our security monitored property which would be provided to law enforcement as necessary.

Audrey at Better Homes took my call with pleasant giggles (she was trying to make a call when I was calling) and I wanted somebody today; she found somebody and booked us. Our fridge was dying. The serviceman, Paul Gorka, came out as scheduled and gave a quote, but the import was clear: Better to spend money on a new fridge. He was the kind of service guy I would ask for again, and I will, if we have any other issues. We'll be shopping for a new fridge. Good service, very responsive office (I called back to get Paul's full name), and not an unreasonable charge at all. I will keep this number for future issues.

I called this morning and needed the dryer fixed today. We use it everyday for a business we run out of our home. They gave me a time of between 10 and 12. Rickie arrived before 12. He was very professional and courteous. Good customer service is hard to find these days. Rickie was very nice and explained everything to me. I would definitely use this company again.

The technician spent a great deal of time diagnosing each appliance to be sure to pin the problem down to the correct part. The parts were ordered. The technician returned and installed the parts. He also gave me some tips on making a dishwasher the most efficient at the least cost. Shortly after I discovered my cooktop was also burnt out in the power surge and the part has been ordered to repair the cook top. The part and labor for the cooktop will be expensive, $635, but my cook to is in like new condition and it would cost over $1200 to buy a comparable one. I will call this company in the future if I ever need future repairs. I generally replace broken appliances, but having my microwave, washer, dishwasher, cooktop, and AC go all at once was too much too replace, especially when they were all higher end appliances in excellent condition.

Came on Friday and installed a new ice maker and filter. Said we needed a new valve and would have to order it and come back on Monday. Came back today and installed the valve and THEN checked water source where it comes out of the wall. Said there was no water coming out of the wall and that we would have to get a plumber. When husband asked if maybe the water source should have been checked FIRST, he had no answer. Just downright surly the entire time he was here. Never had an unsatisfactory experience from Angie's List until now, Update: I talk to the owner since I left this review and they came out to fix my ice maker. They were very nice when they came to do the work.. I think when they came the first time we were all having a bad day.. This time around I feel so much better with service that I had to update the review and change the grades..

For the last month my Bosch dishwasher intermittently misses the cyle; goes from active directly to clean without any dishwashing. By pressing buttons, turning off / on, trial and error we were able to start. Yesterday could not get it to start at all, so with Thanksgiving, needed to make sure it was fixed. In the mean time I was able to get it to work for a couple of loads by "playing" with the buttons. When the repair person came, the dishwasher would not fail. He took off the panel,looked with his flashlight and said he could not find anything. No diagnostics at all. When I asked about diagnostic button sequences or tool, he said only "authorized" Bosch get that information. So basically $50 for nothing. Tonight, it failed again. Played with buttons again to get it to work. I only hope for the next few days I can work my magic through the holiday. If they cannot diagnose a Bosch, they should have refused the job. I feel a bit ripped off. Update 12/05/2015. Had someone else come out and ran diagnostics/computer/software. They reset to factory settings and all is well. Again, if Better Homes cannot diagnose, they should pretend to be able to repair. I should not have paid them.

Unfortunately, the part needed to repair my washer is no longer available (control board) so the machine could not be fixed. I would definitely call them again, they were honest, fast and dependable. All I paid was the service charge (which would have been applied had work been done).

The first time we used this company we needed our microwave fixed. It was fixed, but the door was not put back on properly. This service man kicked my little dog. The second time we called them, we needed our dishwasher fixed and I requested not to have the guy who kicked my dog. This new repairman was young. He had to come three times and spent several hours. It made a lot more noise than it ever did, but he seemed to be working. However, we are realizing that the dishes really aren't getting clean like they used to. We need someone else to come out. Looking further, we see that the water isn't spraying at all from the top. Not enough pressure?

Next day service. Very professional. Excellent customer service from the phone contact to the service tech. Showed up within appointment window. Ended up being a bad heating element. Showed me the bad/broken coil. He had a replacement on his truck which was VERY convenient. In and out within 45 minutes. Great company! Will definitely call again.

The service was AMAZING. Linda was very courteous on the phone and for me this is the first impression of a company when you call them to schedule for service. She then called me back and found me an even earlier appointment for today rather than tomorrow. Brian is very knowledgeable and diligent. Quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it! Thanks so much for being so quick!!!

I called Better Homes AC & Appliances on Saturday, not expecting to be able to get service until the following week. Low and behold, they send a serviceman out that same day. Justin was on time , cleaned the clogged drain and even offered advice on what to do if it should happen again. Before leaving, he asked if we had any questions. OUTSTANDING SERVICE!! I would highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

friendly, professional, informed us how the job was going to be completed, very informative and we haven't had a problem since.

my washer needed a motion capacitor. The drawer wwasn't working or rather I should say wasn't drying effeciently because of something we had done. He pointed that out to me and took care of the problem. I think $ 14.95 was a reasonable amount. i called on Tuesay 4/14 and he ca me back on Friday The 17th At the time promised and fixed the washer.

Service Tech was very cordial and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and corrected it. No parts were needed and I was charged only for the service call. He also gave me some excellent advice.

I got same day service. The repairman was punctual and very polite. Although the part that needed replacement was no longer available, he diagnosed it quickly and I felt the cost of the service call was very fair.

We had a repairman here within 24 hours of notifying the company that our washer was not working. Larry arrived ready and prepared to tackle the problem. He was very knowledgeable, polite, and professional. And he was in and out within an hour. His work ethic and kindness was superior! Great job Better Homes!

Great! Our dishwasher works now and we know we need to replace our dryer. Larry was extremely helpful and professional and provided alot of great advice. Highly recommend!
