I am not sure how this company stays in business given their lack of professionalism and their horrible customer service! One of the worst experiences I have ever had dealing with a company. When we called to book a service call we explained we live in a 3 story townhouse, with the AC unit located on the roof and only access from a ladder on the side of the house. We stated they should sent a fairly fit repair person who isn't afraid of heights, this was not the case when the repairman showed up, and he said no one relayed this information to him. They told us our part was not under warranty, even though I had the warranty paperwork with that date of purchase of the AC unit. We had to call the manufacturer ourselves to resolve this and get it ordered free of charge as it was in fact covered, yet Bayside wanted to charge us over $1000. The part came in and they scheduled the repair for a tuesday. My husband took off work, which in his line of business costs him money not being present, they told us someone would be at the house between 9-11am. Then called about 10am to say weather said a chance of rain so they would not be coming, it was not raining that the time, and in fact did not rain all day, was sunny and beautiful. They rescheduled for the following day, so my husband took off work again, then they called at 10am to say the repairman they sent the first time was scheduled to come out, because he was the only employee they had who wasn't afraid to go up our ladder. He called in sick that day, I assume to avoid coming to fix our AC, as he struggled to get up on the roof in the first place, he was an older out of shape gentleman, which I am sure would be fine if our AC was a ground unit, again no offense to him, but I would think an AC company concerned about liability and their employee safety they would have sent someone more fit for for the job, given they knew the situation of where the AC was located. I tried calling to speak to someone named Connie 3 times that day to ask why they could not send someone else and explain that cancelling two days in a row for reasons I think were uncalled for in the first place wasn't really great service and was not in my opinion the type of customer service I would have expected. I received no phone call back, no apology, no discount for the situation. Which is mind blowing to me! You cancel one day for possibility of rain, we live in FL there is a possibility of rain almost every day, and then because you only have 1 repairman that will come to do the job? You knew the circumstances, why did you take a job w a 3 story home and the ac on the roof if you don't have a group of employees that can do that sort of work? I will never use this company again and will be writing several reviews about them. I hope the owner sees this and reaches back out to me because I am appalled at the lack of customer service and response from a highly rated company!

There a quite a few untruths in this report. First off we never spoke to her. We spoke to a gentleman who asked if our tech was scared of heights. We told him our techs are used to working up high. Never was it explained that there was a metal ladder bolted to the side of a building going up 40' [Member Information Removed]/out any caging or protection. The appointment was scheduled, and we did we run the service call for a loud noise issue. When the technician arrived to discover the 40' ladder, even though was uncomfortable with it, he wanted to try and accommodate the customer, so he climbed the ladder and diagnosed a bad fan motor. He found out the bearings were bad and told them not to run the unit, because the motor was shaking very badly. At that point the dispatcher called the distributor and was told based on manufacturing dates the unit was not under warranty. We relayed this to the customer and quoted the repair. The customer informed us, that they had the paperwork to verify the installation date, which was expiring within days, the 14th of the month to be exact, therefore proving it was still under warranty. He then e-mailed the paperwork to Connie our dispatcher who went back to the distributor and got the motor under warranty. The day the tech was to go back to do the install, it had started raining, and the tech was also not feeling well, so we asked to reschedule the following day. We will not for safety reasons send technicians on a roof to work on high voltage units in the rain, not to mention the stell ladder that would be wet and slippery. The next day the technician arrived to replace the motor only to discover they did run the machine after being advised not too, and therefore now also destroyed the fan blade. The technician then called in to find out about availability for the fan blade which there were none locally available so we then found another fan blade we had in stock that the tech retrofitted to work on their unit, to get them cooling. Which they were not charged for. All in all it took the technician 5 hours of total time that day to get the job done, to get these folks some air. As the owner of Bayside, I would say a job well done by Bayside's staff to include William the technician, and Connie our dispatcher who worked hard to resolve their issue. Total charges to the customer for the diagnostic fee, the motor, fan blade replacement and 6 hrs of labor in total $382.95. I'm not exactly sure how much more of a discount was expected. Not the $1000 she claims.There was only one appointment rescheduled due to weather, and we contacted the distributor to get the warranty done after the paperwork was provided by the husband. We are very disappointed after all efforts were made above and beyond to take care of these folks, that they would file a report like this. I think maybe they would be better served elsewhere next time.

Jacob our technician went over both of Handlers etc on both side of the house one Air was deteriorating quite a bit he went over everything with my husband we decided to go ahead and replace the one that was deterating we both felt that Jacob was honest and sincere about our issues and tried to get us the best price through the owner of the company we would Recommend Bay side heating and Air and ask for Jacob 👍

I called Bayside Heating and Air because the breaker was tripping and shutting off our air conditioner. They came out and checked it out. They told me it was a wiring problem. They fixed the problem and put in a new breaker. Charged me $269. A few months later the breaker started tripping again. This time when they came out they told me the problem was bad contactor. They replaced it and charged me $219. A few days later the breaker started tripping again. They came out and told me it was the capacitor this time. They replaced it and charged me another $237. Within one day the breaker started tripping again. They came out and this time they told me the problem was the compressor. They said that because of the age of the unit I needed to replace the entire air conditioning unit for thousands of dollars. This was the point where I called another company for a second opinion. A guy from the new company came out and within ten minutes he found that the only problem I had was a loose ground wire. He fixed the problem and our AC works perfectly. I am thankful that I called for the second opinion. I don’t know if Bayside is simply incompetent or if they are dishonest. Either way, I will never use them again.

We wouldn't have the great reputation, or the many positive reviews we do by being dishonest. Mistakes can happen though, and we will always stand behind our work right or wrong. A loose ground wire makes no sense at all and would not have anything to do with the breaker tripping, or the high amps on the compressor.. We will be contacting this gentleman to see if we can get a little more information, and hopefully a good resolution for all. 3/20/19 Left this customer 2 messages to talk to him and hopefully resolve or understand his concerns.

Tom, the manager, called me after the new year to make things good and he did as he promised. Weather certainly wasn't on my side but that had nothing to do with Bayside Heating and Air. They made sure to fix everything that was wrong with my unit and only charged me for labor. That included adding Freon which I know isn't cheap. I was much happier to pay for labor instead of a new a/c unit. Hoping this keeps my a/c unit going for a while. I'm happy at how I was treated and how they made sure to make things right. Stuff happens and they made a great come back. :)

We haven't serviced this customer in over a year. Customer purchased WI-FI thermostat not wireless. Installed and working correctly.. Two months after it was installed the customer called stating he could not access thermostat wireless. Tech found thermostat working well, but internet service not working and advised customer to call internet company. Technician tried to collect $64.95 diagnostic fee since the fault was not ours, but customer refused to pay until it was working. He never paid despite several notices being sent. He is red flagged for no future service.

Not as advertised. The filter was to have an access door for easy replacement, it was totally encased. During this install they compromised the integrity for rodent prevention which I had just paid big bucks to have done. I am in week 5 of trying to have this resolved and it's frustration beyond comprehension having to deal with their incompetence, lack of integrity to resolve the issue, abject lying by personnel and any semblance of a sense of urgency on their part. If you are a single woman and prefer to handle issues nicely, sweetly in a genteel manner and do not have some gravitas on your own do not work with this company. They force you to handle the problem like a man would and you lose your spiritual demeanor which is sad.

I spoke to her today, and the issue is being resolved. There have been 2 custom covers made to that take 2-3 weeks each to manufacture. The first one was not to her satisfaction so a second was ordered. There are some minor adjustments to be completed to her satisfaction, after which she promised to amend this report favorably. We do appreciate her business thus far,and hope thewre will be no more glitches in the future. Update:1/11/19 We finally got a hold of her and had cover sealed to her approval. Waiting for her now to amend this report favorably as promised.
