Description of Work: the contract to maintain and service was good, they tend to use fear tactics and high pressure sales. I went for the uv system and greatly over paid. when it came time to replace my unit I went with someone else more local and cheaper

Sometime customers find cheaper knock off products on the internet after the sale that is no way comparable with the product that they purchased. This customer was very abusive to the young lady in our front office and we were happy to hear that he found another service provider.

Unfortunately we have to agree with this customers assessment of the work that was done.The duct work in their rental home was leaking air badly so we sealed the duct runs with fiberglass mastic. The job was in a very tight attic during the hottest part of July, and our crew inadvertently overlooked one of the duct runs that should have been sealed. A several months later our tech was doing the maintenance service and he noticed the one duct run in the back of the attic that had not been sealed. He immediately called the office and a crew was scheduled to go out to make the correction two days later. The customer was very upset and we fully understand why he would feel that way. We made a mistake and we corrected it, but it should have been done right the first time. Again sir we sincerely apologize for our oversight, and we hope if you ever have a problem in the future, we hope you will give us a chance to make it up to you.

Description of Work: Initially they came out for an Angie's List Deal to do an air conditioning full maintenance check. I then signed a "buy two years, get the third year free" maintenance contract for both of my air conditioning units (I believe each year cost approximately $90 for each unit). They come out twice a year and complete a full maintenance check on my units. They are prompt and thorough. Nice job.

Description of Work: Bayside did an ok job but needed to send a second tech to correct the problem created by the original tech. It took a little prodding on my part to have them return without an additional service fee. Although the problem was corrected I was disappointed in their original response.

We did a scheduled preventive maintenance service and the tech noted the compressor was pulling higher than normal amperage and the drain line was clogged with rusted metal. He cleared the rust and sludge from the drain line, noted on his report that some of the wiring looked burnt from overheating, and suggested a compressor safety kit but the customer declined. A short time later the compressor failed to come on so we dispatched a second tech to evaluate. He found one of the wire connections to the compressor was badly corroded and not making contact. He repaired the wiring at no charge, and got the customer back up a running the same day. Thank you and we appreciate your business.

Sometimes a very small refrigerant leak cannot be located with a electronic leak detector If the temperature feels its not quite cool enough or seems to be running longer than normal, please give us a call and we can schedule a UV dye test.

Description of Work: the original contact went fine and we actually purchased a maintenance contract. The problem actually occurred later when we needed a service call. The fan on the air conditioning unit wouldn't turn off. They sent a service tech out. First he told us that the fan didn't turn off because our filters were dirty (they weren't dirty, they had a very fine coating on them). After two days, the fan is still running 24/7. They sent the same tech out, he said he could do some tests, but couldn't because it was cloudy!! Rescheduled again, this time requesting a different tech since the one they had sent twice really didn't give a d***. (oh, they told us he was one of their best guys) The next guy goes on and on about why we need to re-insulate our attic and that we need to re-configure our duct system. Ok,... but why isn't our fan turning off??? Oh, he says, he didn't know that was why he was coming out. He'll go run a test and see if it's the thermostat not communicating with the handler. His finding was that it was the thermostat. So, my husband replaced the thermostat (half the cost of what they quoted). Fan is still running!! Finally called another company and they discovered that the circuit board for the handler (it's brains) was fried! We were lucky that it got fried in the on position (at least we had cool air for this past month). Once the circuit board was replaced, all is good. You can actually see the burned section on the old circuit board!! So they not only didn't find the problem, but tried to sell us everything they could and couldn't even fix the original problem. Plus I got a $600+ electric bill for the month that the fan was running. We will never call them again, or want them in our house. We'd rather lose the money for the rest of our service contract than have them come here. We don't trust them.

Customer called complaining that during the hot part of the day the A/C was not keeping up, and the temperature was rising. Technician upon arrival found the filters completely clogged, and instructed the customer to replace his filters every 30 days. Customer called back the following day stating the unit was still not keeping up, but when the technician arrived the temperature was 75* and the system was cycling on and off properly. The technician advised the customer that their could be an excessive heat load problem, but since it was cooler and overcast that day it was hard to determine. He told the customer to call back if he continued to have problems. Seven days later the customer calls again, stating the A/C is still not keeping up during the hot part of the day. The technician found the unit working perfectly, but discovered the outer wrapping and insulation on the duct work in the attic was deteriorated and falling off. The technician took pictures of the duct work and showed the customer. The air leaving the A/C unit was 64* but by the time it reached the vents blowing into the home, it had risen to74* because of the lack of insulation on the duct work. Then the customer tell the technician that now their also having a problem with the fan not shutting off. The technician diagnosis, that the thermostat is keeping the fan on, and shows the customer that by disconnecting the wire from the thermostat, the fan will shut off, proving a defective thermostat. He advises the customer that he would need to replace the thermostat, but the customer declines, not wanting to pay for it, tells him he will do it himself. We run many service calls for customers attempting to replace their own thermostats, and subsequently find shorted thermostats, transformers, and control boards, due to mis-wiring since they all are connected. All in all we ran 3 separate service calls, and the only cost to the customer was $64.95. We wish this customer well,.

On the first service call we found a bad dual start capacitor, and replaced it. When we came back the second trip we found the common drain line had clogged up, and suggested contacting the condo maintenance department.
