THESE PEOPLE WERE GREAT!! THE INITIAL SERVICE CALL TO ANALYZE THE PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE COST $ 79.95 BUT BECAUSE I WAS AN ANGIE'S LIST REFERRAL THE SERVICE CALL WAS REDUCED TO $44.95. THE COST DO THE ACTUAL WORK WAS $330. THE STAFF WHO PERFORMED THE WORK WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A GREAT JOB IN ALL ASPECTS. I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM IN REFERRING THEM TO FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. Description of Work: I WAS NOT GETTING ENOUGH COOL AIR IN THE MASTER BEDROOM NEAR THE BACK OF THE HOUSE. THEY CAME IN AND ANALYZED THE PROBLEM AND REMOVED THE ORIGINAL 6''AIR RUN AND REPLACED IT WITH A 9'' AIR RUN. AS A RESULT OF THIS WORK WE WERE ABLE TO GAIN 40% MORE AIRFLOW TO THE MASTER BEDROOM.

BAYSIDE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO INSTALL A LIGHT TO CONTROL THE MILDEW PROBLEM, AND I HAD THEM INSTALL THE LIGHT. LATER, I FOUND OUT THAT THE LIGHT ONLY COST $150, BUT THEY CHARGED ME ALMOST $1200 FOR THE SERVICE. THE CHARGE ALSO INCLUDED AN INSPECTION AND CLEANING OF THE UNIT, BUT I FEEL THEY OVERCHARGED ME FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED.
Description of Work: I HAD THEM COME OUT BECAUSE THERE WAS COLD AIR LEAKING FROM MY A/C, CREATING A MILDEW PROBLEM IN MY GARAGE.

WE WOULD NEVER TELL A CUSTOMER THAT THEY NEED TO DO ANYTHING. ALL WE CAN DO IS MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON WHAT WE SEE AND THEN IT IS UP TO THEM TO DECIDE. THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY CHEAPER UV SYSTEMS OUT THERE BUT WE CHOOSE NOT TO CARRY THEM BECAUSE WE DON''T FEEL THEY ARE AS EFFECTIVE OR RELIABLE. THIS CUSTOMER NEGLECTED TO MENTION THAT THE PRICE CHARGED NOT ONLY INCLUDED THAT DAYS SERVICE CALL ON TWO UNITS, BUT ALSO INCLUDED A ONE YEAR MAINTENANCE POLICY, AND A FULL AIR DUCT SANITATION. THE CUSTOMER ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION THAT SHE CALLED US A WEEK LATER BECAUSE HER OLD FIBERGLASS PLENUM HAD COME APART AND WAS LEAKING BADLY. WE SENT A CREW OUT TO REBUILD THE PLENUM AND SEAL IT WITH A FIBERGLASS MASTIC FOR A TOTAL CHARGE OF $40. WHEN WE RUN OVER 14,000 SERVICE CALLS A YEAR, WE KNOW THAT WE WON''T BE ABLE TO PLEASE EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER BUT THAT WILL NOT KEEP US FROM TRYING.

Initially a pleasant experience. They've been back 6 times as we are having a problem with the unit not providing adequate heating or cooling throughout the entire home. They've continued to be very professional and polite and installed a new thermostat. I arranged to have a rep come down from the company that made the unit and a Bayside rep met him at my house on 1/31/06. His conclusion was the unit is too large for the existing duct work or the duct work is too small for the unit. I've had numerous conversations with Tom, the owner of Bayside, and he has made every effort to explain and address our concerns but I still have performance issues. I feel whatever should have been done to improve this performance should be done, but has not been done. They claim there is nothing further they can do. At this point they refuse to do anything else and the owner will not respond except through his receptionist. I do not recommend Bayside to anyone.

WE INSTALLED A MOBILE HOME PACKAGE UNIT FOR THIS MEMBER APPROX. 1 YEAR AGO. WORK WAS INSPECTED AND PASSED BY CITY INSPECTOR. SINCE THAT TIME, WE HAVE SENT OUR SERVICE DEPT. OUT 11 DIFFERENT TIMES, AT NO CHARGE, TO TRY TO SATISFY THIS MOST DIFFICULT MEMBER. HE HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT MYSTERIOUS NOISES THAT SEEM TO DISAPPEAR JUST BEFORE WE ARRIVE. HE COMPLAINED THAT HIS THERMOSTAT WAS 2 DEGREES OFF SO WE REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE. HE ALSO COMPLAINED THAT ONE OF HIS ROOMS TOWARD THE BACK OF THE TRAILER IS A FEW DEG. WARMER THAN THE REST OF THE HOME. AFTER NUMEROUS SERVICE CALLS VERIFYING THAT THE EQUIPMENT WAS WORKING AT PEAK EFFICIENCY, WE ASKED A FACTORY REP FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO COME TAKE A LOOK. HE VERIFIED WHAT WE HAD SAID ALL ALONG, EQUIPMENT WAS WORKING PERFECTLY AND THE AIR FLOW PROBLEM WAS A RESULT OF DUCT WORK BUILT IN THE WALLS AND CEILING OF THE MOBILE HOME, WHICH IS NOT ACCESSIBLE. THE MEMBER CONTINUES TO CALL AND BE ABUSIVE TO OUR STAFF AFTER IT WAS EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT ANY FUTURE SERVICE CALLS WOULD BE CHARGEABLE AND PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. WE FEEL WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO SATISFY HIM AND HE CONTINUES TO BE UNAPPRECIATIVE FOR THE QUALITY WORK THAT WE DID, OR THE EFFORTS WE MADE AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MEMBER TO ANY ANGIE'S LIST SERVICE PROVIDER. EVERYBODY I DEALT WITH WAS COURTEOUS AND PLEASANT. THEY ARRIVED THE SAME DAY I CALLED WHEN THE A/C WENT OUT. THE REPAIRMAN DID A TEMPORARY REPAIR SO WE WERE ONLY HOT FOR A DAY. HOWEVER IT DID TAKE 3 TRIPS TO HAVE IT ALL INSTALLED AND WORKING PROPERLY. THERE WAS A FREON LEAK THAT BECAME EVIDENT ABOUT 10 DAYS AFTER INSTALLATION. IT WAS PROMPTLY REPAIRED. WHEN THE FREON LEAK WAS REPAIRED THE REPAIRMAN NOTICED THERE WAS NO DRIP PAN INSTALLED SO HE MADE SURE THEY CAME OUT AND INSTALLED IT. OVERALL THEY SEEM LIKE A VERY GOOD AND RESPONSIBLE COMPANY BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF ALL HAD BEEN INSTALLED WITH NO FLUBS. I DID NOT COMPARISON SHOP. I WENT BY ANGIE'S LIST. I WANTED RESPONSIVENESS AND QUALITY FIRST, PRICE SECOND.

I CALLED BAYSIDE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING BASED SOLELY ON THEIR ANGIE'S LIST STRAIGHT ''A'' STANDING. THEY HAD A TECHNICIAN AT MY HOUSE IN TWO HOURS. BAYSIDE'S TECHNICIAN, DUANE, DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM (FAULTY FLOAT IN THE WATER DRAIN PIPES) AND HAD THE A/C WORKING IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. HE THEN RECHECKED THE SYSTEM AND FOUND IT WORKING PROPERLY. I NOTICED THAT THERE WERE SPOTS ON THE CARPET AND HE ADVISED ME THAT IT WAS MOLD AND SAID THAT I HAD IT IN THE DUCTS AS WELL WITHOUT EVEN HAVING UNSCREWED. HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $325 TO CLEAN TO COIL AND THEN WANTED $1320 LATER TO OVER HAUL THE A/C. HE ALSO WANTED TO TAKE MY COIL OUT. I COULD NOT GET HIM OUT OF MY HOUSE QUICK ENOUGH BECAUSE HE WAS TELLING ME ABOUT HIS PERSONAL LIFE WHICH WAS OF NO INTEREST TO ME. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. THE COST ONLY REPRESENTS THE SERVICE.

KNOWING THAT SUMMER IS A BUSY SEASON FOR AC COMPANIES I DID NOT EXPECT SOMEONE TO BE ABLE TO COME OUT RIGHT AWAY WHEN I CALLED FOR A REPAIR ESTIMATE ON OUR UNIT. MARK MAGGIO FROM BAYSIDE HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING CAME TO OUR HOME THE DAY AFTER I CALLED AND EXPLAINED TO US THAT BECAUSE OF THE AGE OF THE UNIT IT WOULD BE IN OUR BEST INTEREST TO REPLACE IT. AFTER SHOPPING AROUND WE DECIDED TO HIRE BAYSIDE TO DO THE WORK. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT THE CHEAPEST ESTIMATE WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH ALL THE EXTRAS INCLUDED WITH THE INSTALL. WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS ERIC AND TOM THE INSTALLERS WERE AT OUR HOME AND THEY DID AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB! WE CAN'T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW PLEASED WE ARE WITH THE WORK THEY PERFORMED FROM THE LOOK OF THE UNIT TO THE CLEANUP. WE WOULD RECOMMEND BAYSIDE TO ANY ONE NEEDING AC SERVICE.
Description of Work: NEEDED NEW AC UNIT INSTALLED IN OUR HOME. PREVIOUS UNIT WAS 15 YEARS OLD AND THERE WAS A FREON LEAK IN THE COILS.

SALESMAN THAT ESTIMATED WAS ON TIME, COURTEOUS AND INFORMATIVE. INSTALLERS WERE ON TIME, WELL PREPARED AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE SYSTEM THEY WERE INSTALLING. INSTALLATION WAS DONE IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER WITH CARE ON THE PART OF THE INSTALLERS TO PROTECT CARPET W/DROPCLOTHS. I WAS GIVEN CELL PHONE NUMBERS TO CALL AT ANY TIME DURING INSTALL THAT I MIGHT HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. EACH TIME WE CALLED (ESTIMATE, SYSTEM QUESTION PRIOR TO INSTALL, ETC. - 3 CALLS - ) OUR CALL WAS RETURNED PROMPTLY. ''TOM'' AT THE MAIN OFFICES WAS PATIENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. OVERALL, THIS WAS THE BEST AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING REPLACEMENT EXPERIENCE WE HAVE HAD SINCE MOVING TO FLORIDA IN 1986.
