Replaced relay in handler. The were punctual. They were pleasant. They were highly qualified. They performed the repairs quickly and in a clean manner. I recommend them to others and suggest they are reliable and should be retained on an annual basis to keep AC and Heating equipment in top shape.

Excellent! Prompt, courteous, good work for a fair price. Did repair to our second air conditioner when the other company (who installed the unit) refused to honor their warranty.
Description of Work: Installed new (second) AC unit. Installed mold killing device. Repaired our 4 year old Amana air conditioner that was under warranty from another installer. That company refused to honor their warranty (Very bad experience). Bayside fixed the problem for $119.

KEITH, FROM 'BAYSIDE' SHOWED UP EARLY AND IN UNIFORM. WOW, WAS MY MY FIRST IMPRESSION, AND I WAS THANKFUL FOR THAT, IT BEING MID AUGUST AND NO COLD AIR. WE INTRODUCED ONE ANOTHER WITH A SHAKE OF THE HAND AND GOT ON THE JOB. AFTER ASSESSING THE SITUATION AND A QUICK LEAK TEST, KEITH FOUND THE PROBLEM TO BE WITH THE 16 YEAR OLD CONDENSING UNIT OUT IN THE SIDE YARD. WE BOTH CONTEMPLATED THE 'QUICK FIX' APPROACH AS WELL AS THE OBVIOUS POSSIBLE COST OF REPLACEMENT, AND CHATTED ABOUT VARIOUS OTHER THINGS AS THE RAIN FELL DOWN ON US THAT DAY. Dave was our technician and he was very good to work with! He called to let us know he was on his way. Once he arrived he inspected each unit and gave us options as to what services could be performed for short term and long term benefits. He did not pressure us into anything but gave us his expert opinion which was what we needed. We spent a bit more than we expected but felt very comfortable with the service and quality of the job.
Description of Work: Cleaned coils and purified 2 air conditioning units that had not been properly maintained.

The overall experience was great. The original phone call was returned rapidly. Detailed in the problem and also the estimate was very clearly defined for the cost. Extremely professional and will certainly use them again.
Description of Work: Originally came out to look at A/C unit as the fan was stalling. Suggestions was to replace the fan however, the unit was 20 years old. We already knew we would have to replace it when we bought the house last year. So they gave us an estimate on a new unit. The estimate was very detailed and we knew exactly what we were getting for the price. They replaced the unit several days after the estimate was given. They replaced the blower and the condenser. The finished work was great! It looks much nicer than what was originally there.

ONE ENTIRE ZONE WAS NOT WORKING AT ALL,TECH STATED LOW FREON COULD STOP ZONE FROM WORKING, BUT COULD NOT FIND LEAK. HE NEEDED TO COME BACK OUT, INJECT DYE, THEN CHECK LENGTH OF THE SYSTEM FOR LEAKS. THE PRICE QUOTED WAS $512 TO INJECT DYE AND INSPECT SYSTEM. TO REPAIR LEAKS COULD BE $1000 ON UP. SPOKE TO TOM, SUPERVISOR, HE REDUCED TO $412. TECH RETURNED, STATED LEAK WAS OUTSIDE IN COMPRESSOR, A BENT CAP, REPLACED IT. HE LOOKED NO FURTHER THAN COMPRESSOR. UPSTAIRS ZONE STILL NOT WORKING,SAID WE NEEDED NEW DAMPER MOTOR, PROPPED DAMPER OPEN,UPSTAIRS COOLING, BUT NOW DAMPER SYSTEM DISABLED. TECH SAYS THEY DO NOT WORK ON ZONE SYSTEMS. WE WANT $200 REFUND, HALF JOB COMPLETED. WILL FIND TECH TRAINED IN ZONE REPAIR.

This customer called when her system wasn't cooling. We found it low on freon, but were unable to locate the leak with an electronic detector. She was charged a reduced rate for the service call, and we suggested a more extensive leak test to determine the leak. She was quoted $513 for the leak search, and that was reduced to $315 since she is an Angie member. After the test was completed and the leak repaired, she called in again and demanded an additional $200 discount. We explained that we could not do that and she filed a negative report. After the report was filed, she called to tell us that an additional $200 refund would make her complaint go away. We feel we did all we could do to satisfy this most difficult customer and expect to be paid for services rendered.

Response to initial phone call was quick and an appointment was set up within a few days. The service person was very knowledgeable and showed me the problem and described several solutions to the mold problem. He was able to fix the problem in that visit. Being new to the house and area, he explained the system we have in the house and how we should maintain it - showing me what needed to be done.
Description of Work: Three year annual contract for service maintenance on our heater and A/c units and fixing a mold problem in the air handler.

Called them first thing Monday morning and they were out before noon...quick, friendly service at a reasonable price. I bought a service contract from them for one year at $98.00 and that covered the price of the part replaced that day. The service call was only $44.95.

Jimmy, Mike, Jay and Tom(Installers) were all great. Jimmy recommended the Ultra Violet light, to eliminate mold and mildew. Mike was very attentive and answered all my questions regarding the new A/C system. Stephanie was great as well, she arranged the inspections. Inspections passed with flying colors. I highly recommend Bayside.
Description of Work: New Trane A/C System and Ultra Violet light, digital thermostat and 3 yr maintenance agreement, new A/C system included another year of maintenance agreement, also sanitized the air ducts.

Salesman very nice and extremely knowledgeable, however, seemed to push HEPA filter (which was $700 extra) and ''duct fogging'' which we decided was not necessary (''duct fogging'' was included in price). Scheduled installation but it was delayed because technicians discovered unit was damaged when they opened the box. Installation rescheduled about a week later; however, there were electrical and mechanical deficiencies that the county inspector noted so technicians had to come out and make a few minor adjustments. Installation passed inspection second time. Would probably hire again.

Terry was on time and very polite. He did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. Overall a very easy experience, and I would be more than happy to recommend this company to friends. The price was probably not the cheapest in town, but I do have confidence in the quality of workmanship and materials used.
Description of Work: Install a completely new A/C System, excluding duct work, with new high voltage cables from junction box to unit. The installation price included preventative maintenance agreement, digital thermostat, 1 year labor warranty and 5 year parts warranty.

On time, neat, and very meticulous about work. The only thing I do not like about this company is that the workers present me with an Angie's List report form when they finish, and wait for it to be filled out. I refuse and tell them I will fill out the form on line. I feel giving the customer the evaluation form and waiting for it puts undo pressure for a good report.

They informed us that they would have to install a bigger return. They came out to do the work, but the procedure they were going to do would have prevented my husband from parking in the garage. He told them how to do it so that we wouldn't have this problem, and they never came back to do the work. That was the last we heard from them.
Description of Work: We were having a problem getting the upstairs of our house cool.

THIS CUSTOMERS UNIT WAS NOT GETTING ENOUGH RETURN AIR TO COOL THE HOUSE PROPERLY. OUR ENGINEER DESIGNED A NEW FIBERGLASS RETURN PLENUM THAT WOULD HAVE CORRECTED THE PROBLEM AND LEFT ROOM FOR THE CAR. WHEN THE CREW ARRIVED AND THE CUSTOMER WANTED TO CREATE THEIR OWN DESIGN, WE THOUGHT WE MADE IT CLEAR THAT WE WOULD RATHER THEY HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DO THE WORK FOR THEM. WE APOLOGIZE IF THIS WAS NOT PROPERLY COMMUNICATED BUT IF WE CAN'T DO THE JOB RIGHT, WE WOULD RATHER NOT DO IT AT ALL.

He told us that we needed our air ducts replaced for $3500. He gave us the quote verbally, with no paperwork, and told us it would only be good for 3 days. All we did was replace the filter, and it's working much better. I'm sure it would be an improvement to replace those ducts, but I don't think that the work would have been necessary. The tune-up was good, and he arrived within the time frame.
Description of Work: I used him for a HVAC tune up.
