Replacement was preformed way ahead of schedule and was completed in one day! Upon original estimate visit Orlando spent a lot of time answering questions and fully explaining the work that would be done which was great. Very professional and would definitely recommend to others.

I interviewed three of the top rated roofers I found on Angie's List and two others. With Alvarez more than the others, I felt that my job needs and making me a satisfied customer were really important to them. Their bid was in the middle of the pack, but they offered better grade shingles and peel and stick underlayment (an extra cost with the others), so it was an easy choice for me. And I got a transferable warranty on the shingles and the installation, which was important to me as I'm selling the home soon and can pass them on to my buyer. From the initial meeting with their sales manager to the completion of the new roof install, they maintained close communication and followup which I liked. The new roof looks great and really adds to the curb appeal of my house. This is a rave review, Alvarez, and you earned it!

Their team was great! They arrived actually ahead of schedule, and finished very quickly. Clean up job was great. Every interaction I had with any member of the team was pleasant. Mr. Orlando Alvarez did the estimate. He was very kind and professional. Mrs. Lorraine Alvarez, whom I spoke to on the phone numerous times, and did my paperwork is a wonderful person. She was always very cheerful and helpful. Mr. Onteil Alvarez has a very good hardworking crew. I have been very pleased with the service provided from this company.

Alvarez Home Repairs LLC is a breath of fresh air in the roofing market. We had a nightmare of an experience with our previous roofing contractor and their responsiveness for warranty repairs, we ended up having to replace an 11 year old roof due to definitive shingles. The process of getting the shingle warranty took over 6 months to complete; Alvarez honored the original estimate they had provided me even though the materials cost had risen. From the time I called them to ask if their estimate was still valid I had a new roof on my house in less than two weeks. Every time I called their office someone answered the phone (this is a rarity with roofing contractors). Everyone from the owners to the crew operated in a professional manner. When the work was completed they even had aerial photographs of the roof with a drone; which may sound gimmicky but actually was really nice to see. We had received 4 different estimates prior to deciding to choose Alvarez, their price was the lowest (in part as the material cost had risen) there was only one firm that was competitive with their pricing. - Excellent service. - Excellent quality - Friendly, Family owned and operated business.

I'm very happy with my new roof. They were very professional and answered all my questions. They completed the job in one day. I really appreciate the transition from the main roof to the flat roof that they added where it had been leaking in the past.

I do not have any information on actual work performed by this company. But their business practices and professionalism are severally lacking.

Alvarez Home Repairs did a great job on my flat roof replacement. The owner is professional, very knowledgable, and great to deal with. He even fixed a leak for me on my main roof at no additional cost. The team are a happy group, who show up on time, work hard and clean up after the job. You could not ask for a better contractor. For all your roofing needs, I highly recommend Alvarez Home Repairs. I will be using them again when Its time to replace my main roof.

Orlando Alvarez met with me twice. Explained what they provided and options. Felt very comfortable with him so chose him over other comparable offers 1 week between signing and beginning. Ontiel Alvarez and team of 12 (double team due to availability) hit the house at 7AM and completed by 7PM. It was loud, one of the guys sang on the roof, but they were hard working. I was very impressed.

Things went well. We received a quote for our roof from Junior. Junior was really knowledgeable and we really enjoyed speaking with him. Even though we did not end up picking his company. He gave us many good pointers on what to look out for as well as what is proper for the installation. The only reason we did not choose this company is because a closer company was able to offer a lower bid for comparable work. I feel that the estimates were not that far off considering the travel time that would have added cost for our job. So, I feel the estimate was fair. I definitely got the feeling that this company was very professional and would have been a good choice.

In short: Otniel is a real professional as well as a pleasure to deal with, their work is great and their prices are competitive. Otniel from Alvarez Home Repairs came out the day after I spoke with him on the phone, I also met with his brother a few days earlier. Both were on time and stayed until every question I had was answered. Once we decided to go with him, he was able/willing to fit us in just a few days later to accommodate our tight schedule. He met his crew here in the morning and they had all the work done in 1 long day. Final inspection was completed the next. While not a huge job, the work on a 1912 detached garage with a flat roofing and parapet walls at different elevations was fairly complex. They replaced lots of damaged wood, enlarged and installed two new scuppers, used commercial grade materials for the flat roof and even replaced some tiles on the parapet walls. It looks fantastic! Otniel was thorough in his scope of the project and he and his crew finished all the work on budget and on time. He is good-natured guy and promptly and patiently answered and handled all the questions/concerns I had along the way. Very responsive with 100% customer focus. If we ever need any additional roof work done in the future -- Alvarez will definitely be our first call.

Even though my roof repair job cost only $1200, the Alvarez company treated me like it was a $12,000 job. They were friendly, professional, and prompt. I had a leak where the metal roof of the porch joined the asphalt roof of the rest of the house. They determined the leak was coming from further up on the asphalt roof. They replaced rotted wood and put in new shingles. They explained my options: an $800 least-cost patch, a $1200 larger patch that would provide more peace of mind, or they would give me a good deal on replacing the entire roof the house. They were careful to point out they thought the whole-house roof would last another five years, but if I wanted to do the whole thing now they would do a deal. They were not high pressure at all and were careful to explain all the options and answer all my questions. I opted for the $1200 repair job and will definitely go to them to have the whole roof replaced when it needs it over the next five years. They were extremely nice people (the owner Mr. Alvarez and his brother). As I said, even though my job was a small one compared to some of their jobs, they treated me like I was an important, valued customer. I recommend them very highly and will definitely use them again when the need arises. It's a pleasure to deal with an honest, friendly company.

Otneil and his team are extremely thorough, have a great attention to detail, and the final product was excellent.

At the time of we signed the contract (10/23/15) the contractor assured us work would begin the following Monday (10/26/15). Monday and Tuesday came and went with no word from the contractor. We called on Wed and he promised to begin work the following Monday (11/2/15) at that time we assured him we were in no rush but to please call if something came up so we could adjust our schedule as he said we needed to be home for the work to start. Again we heard nothing. We called on Wed. and he again said work would begin on Monday (11/9/15) and he sent an e-mail to confirm. Again we adjusted our schedules to be home. We heard nothing from the contractor on Mon, Tues. or Wed. We called him again - and like other times we were told work would begin on Monday (11/16/15). This time work started and they finished the job very quickly - two days with just some clean-up on the third day. The work appears to be first rate - but communication is very, very, BAD. At completion we explained that we had misplaced the original contract could he mail or fax us a copy for our insurance company. That was over two months ago and we have not received a copy of the contract nor heard a word from him - fortunately we found our original a fwe days later but we have heard nothing from the contractor even with a message left on his business phone reminding him to please send us a copy of the contract. Again the work appears great - clean-up quite good - his crew seemed top notch - communication would have to be rated ZERO.

His employee was sick that day and it was a holiday (Columbus Day). So owner was running all calls for his sick employee to honor his commitments for service. He was slightly late as a result of taking on additional calls for his employee but he was courteous enough to fill us in on the traffic and adjusting his arrival time so we were fully informed. A knowledgeable and customer oriented owner. We will check his estimated roof bid against other bidders but, assuming they are comparable, we are likely to go with Alvarez Roofing. He is invested in building a solid reputation for his business and that is a good sign.

I needed a company to secure loose shingles and seal vents on the roof. And I needed it done quickly without sacrificing the quality of workmanship. Orlando and his crew responded out and did a complete and professional job. their price was fair and the quality of work performed was excellent!

Alverez Home repairs LLC, did an excellent job replacing my roof. The transaction was seemless and working with both owner and brother was a good experience. I was a little nurvous on giving that much money out at one time, but the brother felt the same way, but that?s the way Angie?s list is set up. However, the job the did was over the top and would recommend anyone to use their services. And, the crew they brought with them also, was extremely friendly and worked very hard to get the job done. Awesomeness!

They said that they would send me an email with all of the information and they never called me back, or emailed me about my roof. I don't know what their workmanship would have been like. They came out, were very nice, but, they never came out. He was hours late.
