I have been using this company for over 10 years. They have consistently met or exceeded all my requirements. They offer a year service contract that has them service my entire HVAC system 2 times every year for $75/ visit. That service guarantees that I don't ever have any unexpected issues. Eric who does all the service is a very knowledgeably tech and explains all aspects of the job as he proceeds. The annual service is also a requirement of the A/C system manufacturers in order to maintain the warranty in effect. A fact not many people are aware of and could be a bad surprise if a warranty item repair is needed.

My LG air conditioning split system stopped working. ANOTHER company came and told me that the board and compressor were bad and I needed it a whole new system. I decided to ask for a second opinion and called Advanced Cooling Systems. First, over the phone I spoke to Jeff, who patiently answered all my questions for a good 20 minutes. Then Jim called me and quote me $3,950 total (labor and parts) vs $4,807 from the other company. Then I decided to pay for a service call to have one of their technicians diagnose the problem, just in case. Andrew came by, quickly assessed the error code on the system, it was running too hot and it had stopped, the reason was that the clothes dryer vent had clogged a good part of the unit. He cleaned both, the outside and inside unit I paid $128 total. I was very thankful. I will only do business with them from now on.

They arranged for us to get 0% financing for five years and came up with affordable payments. Curt took his time and helped to educate us rather than come across like a pushy salesperson on commission. He showed us a DVD about the ozone system and also provided us research on approximately how long the A/C savings would pay for the new unit based upon a tool they had and the current make and model of the system we had and the utility bill history for the last several years. They showed up on time, on the date they planned and set to work and had the work done in a day. Twice Curt came back to help us program the thermostat and help us learn all the features of the unit. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, well trained. The products they have sell themselves, no pushy salespeople. Our house feels and smells and cools entirely differently, very efficiently and they made it affordable for us with the flexible financing.

The air conditioner in our home was working hard day and night but wasn't able to drop the temperature below 78 degrees. We had six estimates for air conditioner repair (or replacement), and all six indicated that we likely needed a new air conditioning unit. However, two of the companies (one of them Advanced Cooling Systems) indicated that the greater need was replacing the duct work throughout the house since it was quite old and that even a new AC unit would not cool off our house if there was broken or inadequate ductwork. Jeff R. of Advanced Cooling Systems did a thorough evaluation of the home, discussed our options, and suggested that since our AC unit was only five years old and the proper size for our home, that we might want to try new ductwork before investing in a new air conditioning system. After discussing our options, we decided to start with new ducts and see if that alone would give us greater comfort. We are so glad that we made that decision! When the crew -- Phil, Eric, and Marc -- pulled out the old ductwork, they found significant damage to the home's attic-area caused by wood-boring insects. Once all of the ducts were removed, they waited on installation until we could have the house fumigated and contractors in to repair the wood damage. Then, Phil and Eric returned to install the new ductwork. Even in very tight quarters and very hot temperatures, Phil and Eric installed the ductwork, designing a system that improved flow and we now have a very efficient cooling system. They were great! Extremely polite and professional keeping us informed of their progress throughout the day. We are thankful to Jeff for troubleshooting our problem and suggesting we could start with new ductwork before buying an entirely new AC unit. When the day comes that our AC unit finally gives out, we will be calling this company. They are not the least expensive, but their professionalism is outstanding!

The guys were quick, clean, polite and very informative. They did everything they were supposed to do. My house has never been this comfortable.

We needed to entirely replace our current a/c and zone system. Having had poor results in the past from a/c contractors, we phoned over a dozen companies (from Angie's List) and had 11 come out for interviews and estimates. During all the interviews it was easy to start whittling them down. We found that finding contractors who had hands-on experience with zone systems was difficult. We discovered that they all said they "knew" about zones and could install them because they'd been trained, but the ones who really understood why zones were so practical and how they worked were the contractors who actually had them in their own houses. They "got" it. Not only did they know how to install them, they knew the best methods, the best ways for ducting, how to limit problems, how to make them the most efficient, how to program the thermostats, how to divide the house into zones, etc. Out of everyone we called and interviewed, only Advanced Cooling Systems and Heinz AC & Heating had the experience with zones that we were looking for. So then it came down to which brand we wanted - ACS was a TRANE dealer, and that system seemed superior (to us) so we went with ACS. And, boy, did we choose right. Jeff Rapaport and his crew were absolutely wonderful. Any problem we ran into was professionally handled. For example, their supplier sent them the wrong modulating dampers, which wasn't discovered until AFTER everything was installed and taped in. ACS did the right thing. They ordered the correct dampers, took the wrong ones out and put the correct ones in (no small task). No charge. Phew. Jeff's guys worked long days and were very proud of their installation. They should be. The returns and supplies were upgraded correctly and installed beautifully, the ducts were replaced and rerouted, the air handler was shoe-horned into a tight space in the attic and mounted correctly, all the refrigerant lines were neatly done, the dampers were lined up and easily accessible, and the drain line was carefully inclined to work properly. With all the people spending days in the attic, nobody put their foot through the ceiling! (We still have to repair some damage from a previous installer...) Now that it?s summer and it?s HOT outside, we can safely say that the TRANE equipment and zone system works great and we could not be happier. We definitely recommend ACS for installation. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and did a top-notch job.

I couldn't be happier with my new a/c and their service. I have recommended them to several other people and they all feel the same way. Quality does not have to be expensive, if you know who to deal with :)

I have a two story home and the second story would never cool. It would stay about 8-10 degrees hotter than the thermostat on the first floor. The problem was further complicated since I have two units and both thermostats are in or near my great room. If I turned down the thermostat that controls both the upstairs and half of the downstairs then it would cause the other thermostat to believe it was cooler on that side then it actually was. Over the years I have had service that promised to correct the problem, but until recently no company did. When the unit failed I solicited four estimates, two from Trane dealers and two from competition. Jeff from ACS was the most thorough in analyzing my situation and proposing a solution. His company installed a three zone system that now keeps the upstairs cool while not conflicting with my other unit downstairs. Everyone is happy with the result. Jeff himself and his staff were great while the work was being done. No problems, very responsive and professional. My other unit is 13 years old and when it goes I will be in touch with ACS.

I needed to buy a new a/c to replace a 14 year old system which was failing, but still working. I received 4 bids from various companies in the Tampa area including ACS. I spoke with John who came over on a Saturday. I found John to be professional and no pressure sales. He answered tons of questions not only when he was there but follow-up calls. ACS and John wwas more willing to work with me on price than any of the other companies I received bids on. They also provided a 3 year labor warranty, which no one else could match.

Called Jeff at 1:50p on Friday. Air system was running all night and would not go below 77 degrees. Received call from Eric that he was on his way to my residence at 4:40p. Eric was very professional and matter of fact. Where is the air handler and which side of the house is your compressor...Within 15 min. Eric found the problem, took me out side to the compressor and pointed out the problem and the fix. We had a leak in our freon. Eric cut the leaking material out and welded a piece in its place. Filled the system with 8 gallons of 410A freon. Out system works great. Great service, extremely prompt and a fair price...Will call again when we have a heating and air need.

When I first met Jeff I had some trepidation as to how I could afford an new A/C unit. However, Jeff was able to help find a payment arrangement that meant I could comfortably afford the new unit. And what a great warranty.! The crew were on time and very professional and although my original ducting presented some challenges the entire process was carried out superbly. They did a great job of clean up and took extra time to show us the nuances of my new thermostat. I can control my A/C from my phone.

They seemed professional and thorough. They don't try to sell me things I don't need. The price is affordable.

When I start experiencing problems with my new AC unit (bot in July 2012) I had serious concerns. Instead of calling the company that I bought it from and who had installed it, I call Jeff at Advanced Cooling. His tech immeidately came out and fixed several of the instalation mistakes that the other company did. They were professional, dilligent and cuteous, all at a reasonable price.

I had my heat pump and air handler installed by ACS in August of 2010. I've been using them for regular maintenance ever since. I had an issue where, when the heat would kick in, the heat pump would cycle on and off a second or two at a time. I sent an email to them on a Friday and Mike called first thing Monday morning to see if he could come out later that morning. He spent an hour or so trouble shooting the problem and figured out that the issue was that the system was slightly over charged. He adjusted the pressure and it seems to have done the trick. There was no charge as it was covered by the warranty and it was something associated with the original install.

No One There New If They Serviced My Area And Maybe They Could Have Someone Come Out When They Had A chance

Installation went well. The techs were professional and worked very hard. We had no complaints on the work they did and were conscientious. They seemed knowledgable and we felt confident that they would do a good job. They patiently answered all of our questions.

They were very responsive to what I was looking for. They acted as consultants as well as sales people. They made some recommendations that I didn’t ask about. The installation was exactly when they said it would be. It was done great and it works great.

We are very pleased with Jeff and the ACS staff. We had a Trane system that was showing its age and we talked about making repairs, but we were ready to consider a new system. We had become very unhappy with the company that had installed and serviced our system in the past, so we contacted several of the higher rated providers on Angie's List, including Advanced Cooling Systems. Jeff was very responsive to our request for an inspection, and a quote with options for replacements. He was very fair in his estimates and inclusion of applicable discounts and rebates. ACS was not the lowest bid for the work, but was competitive and seemed committed to our satisfaction, which was important to us, since we want an ongoing relationship for service. ACS completed the system installation, on time, as promised, and without any extras or surprises. The installers were courteous, neat and thorough. They had the system up and running in about half a day and instructed us on the system and the online Tstat. The system has worked without a hitch since it was installed. I had them out this week for a quick follow up check to make sure everything is still working as it should (and to service the older 2nd zone unit). We'll try and hang on with the 2nd zone system for a while if we can, but we won't hesitate request ACS for service, or to replace that unit when the time comes. We appreciate our experience with ACS so far and would not hesitate recommend them to our friends and neighbors. Thanks ACS and thanks Angie's List.

My wife Janet and I needed service on an older airconditioner in a condo that we own in Indian Shores, Florida. Renters were scheduled to move in the next week. We live 1300 miles away in N.Y. and do not know anyone in Florida that could help us or that could recommend a repairman. I relied on the recommendations in Angie's List and contacted Advanced Cooling Systems. I dealt with Jeff, one of the owners. I explained my dilema. He was able to send someone out the next day to evaluate the problem and promptly called me and explained the problems to me in detail. I have a basic understanding of how an airconditioning system works. He explained to me in terms that I could understand why he recommended an entire new system instead of trying to repair the old equipment. I am confident that his evaluation was correct. He took the time to describe in detail the different sytems that he could install as well as the pros and cons for each. On his recommendation I chose a unit that is designed to resist corrosion that is a common problem in the area our condo is in because the gulf is right across the street. The new equipment was installed that same week. A cousin that was down there verfied for me that the work was done completely and professionally and the place was left clean. Working with Advanced Cooling and Jeff made a difficult situation very easy with a minimum of stress. I wouldn't hesitate to call Advanced Cooling again if I should have future problems.

Replaced our old inefficient unit and duct work. The crew arrived on time did an excellent job and left the area immaculate! It has only been one day and the house feels amazing what a difference. I have found Jeff and his crew to be very responsive to any of my questions and also a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this company. Oh and I interviewed 5 companies before choosing Jeff and this company.

This was a big job with a mixture of new and old ductwork. As you might expect some rooms cooled better than others. I was able to get a hold of Jim Osiel the owner and he came out to my job and fixed all the problems with my system things are working great now. Thanks Jim....

Arrived a bit late, but traffic was heavy so not an issue. Tech's name was Mike and he was very pleasant and professional. Mike determined the problem very quickly that the fan motor bearings were failing. He removed the old fan and showed me how the fan blade would stick a bit as he rotated it. I asked and he said he had an replacement motor that had the same ratings (Mine was a Dual Speed since AC was Heat pump) He replaced the fan motor and attached the original fan blade. He had to splice in the Molex connector that the Old motor used. The installed the new Capacitor and tie-wrapped all the wires. Plugged it in an everything worked great except the fan was running the wrong way. Quick change of the direction switch on the new mote solved the issue. Fan did sound a bit strange for a few minutes, but it may have been that the fan blade was out of balance., but after a few starts and stops. It sounded great. Mike offered to come back out with new Fan blade (No service change, just the cost of the fan blade.) The next day I noticed my neighbor having is AC replaced by another company. When I looked as the old outside unit I noticed it was the same as mine. Asked if I could have the Fan blade, they said yes. Called Mike (He gave me his Cell phone #) and told him I had another fan blade. He still offered to come over and replace it at no charge. Total Job time was about 1 hr. They gave a great discount for being an Angie's List Member. $39.00 for the service call and $320 for the motor. The motor is about $100 over what I may have been able to get it for on-line, but far less than what I have read other AC companies change. $39.00 does not cover the expense of a service call and I feel that I got a great deal. I am sure the other Tech's at ACS are great, but Mike went above and beyond the call of duty. ACS has earned my respect and my business. Highly recommend.

The team showed up Monday morning, removed everything from the attic and had the old unit and new unit replaced the same day. They also put all our belongings back to the attic and cleaned up the garage. The place was immaculate. The overall work was excellent. They also showed us how to set the programmable thermostat to optimize the efficiency of the unit.

purchased trane unit to replace existing unit that coil was failing on. Company was responsive, answered all questions completely, installation went well and all concerns were addressed immediately. System works great...we are very cool and comfortable.
