Absolute Air Conditioning & Heating

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. The appointment had to be canceled and rescheduled 3 different times because of the rain and flooding. The tech was very professional and through and checked everything. This was the 2nd time I have used Absolute Air for maintenance as I was so happy with their work on the last visit. The tech told me I was using an A/C filter that was actually filtering TOO MUCH as my vent was sucking in the filter so much it was restricting the air flow. I have been buying these filters for years and thought because they have the highest MERV available they were the best for filtering out mold, dust, allergens and anything else. Not only this , but I also have a UV light that also kills all the germs and foreign polutants. The Tech told me to buy a much cheaper filter with about half the MERV and change it EVERY MONTH instead to save on my electric bill.The Tech did a fantastic job and was very professional and gave me quite an education about a/c filters and exactly how my system worked. This is an older almost 15 year unit but it still keeps crankin' because of the excellent maintenance that Absolute Air gives me..

During the original AC inspection purchase through Angie's List it was discovered that my AC unit was in desperate need of a thorough cleaning. Greg did a fantastic job and I am completely satisfied.

We came home from vacation and discovered that our a/c was not cooling properly. That same day we received the Angie's List monthly booklet and looked for a repair company. We noticed a coupon in the booklet for Absolute Air and Heating for $39.95 which was for 1 lb of freon and a check. I checked the online Angie's List and couldn't find the coupon so I called them. He said that there was a problem with the online coupon, but he would honor it. He came out promptly and checked our a/c and found that we were very low on freon and he had to add 3 extra lbs. At $50 a lb. it came to $39.95 plus 150.00 for the extra freon. I had hoped not to pay this much, but it was well worth it since it has been soooo hot. We didn't get the service the normal way, but we did get service and our a/c is working great. Thanks! J. Rose

The man did an excellent job of cleaning my dryer vent from the inside, but he told me he had cleaned out the outside one, but after he left I discovered he had not; thus, possibly leaving me in a precarious situation. He complained profusely about the type of connection I have on my Kenmore dryer to the vent in the wall saying he had never seen one like it before and he would not ever return to my house. He could not reconnect it, so I had to. My connection was originally installed by Sears. It appeared, he might not have been very experienced in dryer vent cleanings.

It went fine. They did everything they said they were going to do. They were prompt and courteous. It was expensive but I think it was the going rate for the area. I did get another estimate and they were right on the same bulk part. I had a problem with the thermostat that they installed. It wasn't working so they came back the same day that I called them to put in a new thermostat.

Enjoyed the technician that showed up. He worked hard and was very courteous. The owner of the company was also very nice and professional on the telephone. Had a no show and several reschedules due to conflicts with Absolute Air. That was disappointing, but I would give them a 2nd chance.

We signed up for the A/C maintenance package. Less than one month after the technician came out and looked at the A/C an did the maintenance, the drip pan overflowed and the A/C shut down. We had to call a different company approved by our home warranty company to address the problem but it seems to me that they would have/could have caught this before it resulted in our unit shutting down.

After using our initial Angies List deal we have engaged this company and used them a number of times for some issues with our AC. They are always prompt in returning phone calls and prompt with appointment times. Their technicians are very professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

Our a/c worked fine last night and didn't this morning. We called Absolute and were told to turn the unit off to prevent further damage. The technician, Chris Webber, told us he'd be able to get to us in a couple of hours. It was not even that long and he diagnosed the problem quickly. We told him we were leaving for a Michigan funeral early in the morning so he drove to Largo to pick up a new part and returned within an hour. He was polite, competent, and professional. We will be using this company in the future and highly recommend Chris.

Very well. Came on time. Did his job. Informed me of what he did. Went to his next appointment.

the man was here for 15 min witch should of took over an hour for the price that i paid for. will never use them again none of my friends are useing them any more now.

He went very thoroughly thru my entire air conditioning/heating system, which included a checklist of about 10 things. The sevice call was $69 thru Angie's list and another $118 for the part. Great job!

Service Provider offered an alternate service to be done after few months. I did not want to get in touch with this company again. So, requested to get the washer dryer duct clean, which they charge approx. $90 and adjusted the cost showing a $0 balance. I never got $199 service done.

They got the checkup done in about 20 minutes. Everything was fine. The scheduling was fine.

Job was done on schedule at the agreed upon price. I was satisfied with the quality of work done and professionalism. I was somewhat disappointed that "sanitizing" air ducts does not include cleaning of ducts. This was my bad for not questioning that aspect of the job and just assuming that it was included.

So far so good. They came a couple of days after I purchased the Big deal. I didn't pay more than the Big Deal price. They were thorough.

I contacted them and they stated that they do not clear air ducts in mobile homes. They only spray a sanitizer in there. He was very nice. It was just a misunderstanding.

They were professional and on time. The tech that was here, Greg, was very helpful and right away informed me that they were not able to do the type of work I needed. He was very upfront and honest.

These guys are amazingly efficient. Two men showed up right on time, early in the morning and worked non-stop all day. The owner even came by mid-morning to personally check up on the work of his men. He actually rolled up his sleeves and helped out for a little while. They were able to complete the entire install of both units inside of one day. It was very impressive. I would highly recommend them. I have had these guys come out before to service my central heat and air for the home too. That's how I met them a few years ago. I had another company tell me that I needed to replace the entire unit and tried to charge me a ton of money. I'm glad that I decided to wait and get a 2nd opinion, because the Technician from Absolute Air, was able to replace a small part for only $150 and my unit has worked perfectly ever since. You can Absolutely trust these guys. I can't recommend them enough.

The service provider did an excellant job. He was thorough and professional. In addition, I mentioned that I wanted to schedule an apointment to clear my dryer vent. He quoted me a reasonable price and did the additional work right then.

The technician was efficient and very helpful. We used Absolute Air to install our A/C and have always been impressed with their service.

Everything went really well. The gentleman was very friendly and helpful, and he did a great job without leaving a mess.

It was great. They were punctual. They were on time. They did the job and they left. It was perfect. We had no trouble whatsoever.
