+ -1 moreI had bough an old lamp that needed rewiring I had the needed supplies and no problem until the wires would not go through a curve in the neck. After many frustrating hours I started calling around. No one was willing to do the work. One place said they would not use what I had just bought I would have to buy their wire and 2 more sockets, finally Kate at A Shade Better said "no problem" She was very friendly and gave me some pointers on wiring. They also have some beautiful unique lamps and shades.
Description of Work: Finished wiring a vintage lamp.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE INCREDIBLY NICE AND TRIED TO REPAIR THE FLOOR LAMP IMMEDIATELY BUT IT NEEDED TO BE DISASSEMBLED. BOTH LAMPS CAME OUT GREAT. THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL COLLECTION OF SHADES AND LAMPS THERE. THEY ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHERS, BUT THE QUALITY IS FAR BETTER.
Description of Work: I BOUGHT AN ANTIQUE FLOOR BRIDGE LAMP THAT WOULDN'T STAND. THEY REPAIRED AND TIGHTENED THE LAMP SO THAT NOW IT STANDS BEAUTIFULLY. ($15.00) I BOUGHT A CRYSTAL TABLE LAMP AT A THRIFT STORE. THEY REPLACED MANY PARTS, CLEANED IT AND REWIRED IT. IT IS NOW BEAUTIFUL.($20.00)
