+ -1 moreAfter visiting the workshop, Ray LaForce came to our home and made the appropriate measurements. He also fully explained that to match our natural cherry cabinetry his company would have to "age" the new one to match exactly, and that this would take additional time. To do this Mr. LaForce took one of the old doors. Six weeks later, the cabinet was ready for installation. The fit and the match to the existing cabinets was excellent.
Description of Work: A new kitchen cabinet had to be built and had to match the existing cherry wood cabinets already in place.

+ 0 moreThis company is truly professional. We had defective cabinet doors in our new home that were covered by warranty. The original cabinet maker was out of business and the door manufacturer referred us to A-1. They gave an estimate and performed the work professionally. They didn't have to do it since they did not originally install the cabinets, and likely didn't make much money on the deal, but handled it in a timely and professional manner.
Description of Work: Replaced cabinet doors that were defective.

+ -1 moreVERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. WE LIKE THE LOOK OF THE WHITE CABINETS, AND THEY ARE DEFINITELY MORE EFFICIENTLY DESIGNED. THE HINGES ARE SUPERIOR TO OTHERS WE HAVE SEEN. WE HAD DESIGNER KNOBS ON OUR OLD CABINETS, AND THEY RE-INSTALLED THEM AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. IN THE PROCESS OF REMOVING THE OLD CABINETS FROM THE WALL THEY KNOCKED SOME TILES OFF THE WALL. AGAIN, THEY LATER RE-ATTACHED THEM AT NO EXTRA COST. THEIR STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND EASY TO DEAL WITH. ONE CABINET WAS MIS-MEASURED, BUT THEY WERE ABLE TO COMPENSATE FOR WHAT WAS A RELATIVELY SMALL DEFECT.
Description of Work: WE WANTED OUR KITCHEN CABINETS RE-DONE. THE EXISTING ONES WERE BADLY MADE AND INEFFICIENTLY DESIGNED. WE WANTED WHITE CABINETS AND WERE NOT STRONGLY COMMITTED TO ALL WOOD. WE OBTAINED BIDS FROM FOUR OTHER COMPANIES, BUT HAD USED A-1 IN OUR FIRST HOUSE BACK IN THE 1970'S AND THEY DID A GOOD JOB THEN. WE ESPECIALLY LIKED THEIR GOOD IDEAS AND FLEXIBILITY, WILLINGNESS TO COMPLETELY TEAR OUT AND REPLACE SOME CABINETS, BUT TO SIMPLY RE-FACE OTHERS. WITH MANY COMPANIES IT IS ''EITHER-OR.'' PART OF THEIR BID INCLUDED A NEW COUNTER TOP INSTALLED, WHICH THEY SUBED-OUT. IT WAS MADE OF ZODIAC (A NEW QUARTZ SURFACE WHICH HAS SOME ADVANTAGES OVER GRANITE COUNTERTOPS.) WE KEPT OUR FAIRLY NEW STOVE, DISHWASHER AND SINK.
