Horrible experience and would not recommend Priority Marine. They would not work with permit office and after 2 1/2 months we hired another contractor who was able to get our dock permit approved in 2 months.

Contracted with Priority Marine Construction to build a small dock and install a boat lift and associated accessory items. Overall a bad experience and would not recommend doing business with this company for the following reasons: 1. Twenty six weeks to complete a job that should have taken no more that 2 - 4 weeks. No planning, no apologies, and no explanations along with limited communication. 2. The owner will decide how many holes were drilled, with no check or balance and no discussion........he all but writes his own check!! The work commenced on the 9th November 2022 and was not completed until 26 weeks later on May 9th 2023!! After demolition of the old dock, I was informed that "there will be some drilling required" and that approximately 50%, of the 12 piling holes will require drilling, at a cost of $1200.00 per hole. The contract stated " If hardpan is discovered and drilling is required, additional charges will be required." Other quotes that I had received for this job stated an additional charge of $500.00 per pile if drilling was required, $500.00 seemed to be the norm. The final invoice charged me for 11 of the 12 holes requiring drilling. I disputed this number and reviewing video noted that one of the lift piles that had to be drilled to 12 foot depth took less than 20 minutes to complete and no sign of hardpan. They were drilling mud!! I stilled got charged $1200.00 for this 20 minute hole. Note that if hardpan was encountered you would expect drilling to take a lot longer than 20 minutes, in fact when the owner quoted $1200.00 per hole he stated that in many cases it may take 1 to 2 days to drill a hole........certainly not 20 mins!!! I received a final invoice before any of the accessory items had been delivered or fitted. I informed Priority Marine Construction of this oversight, but received little to no communication with regard to a timeline to complete installation or perhaps an apology or explanation as to why this occurred in the first place. To me it seemed that this was by design rather than an oversight, as it took another 19 weeks before we could declare "Job Complete", and only because I with held payment.

UNFULFILLED PROMISES, ZERO SERVICE AND NO RESPONSES AFTER INSTALL AND MONEY PAID! You will quickly find out that Priority is a one man show. His name is Jason and he is the "Salesman". Jason is your only contact. The problem arises after payment. Specifically, the Salesman, Jason, is still your only contact for follow up, service or the like. I can only assume he does not get paid for that, as he has zero interest in you at that point. In my case, they installed my lift last year during Covid and I made it clear that I was still trying to purchase a boat that might be a year out. Jason assured me on several occasions that it wouldn't be a problem, as they would simply come back and fit the lift for the boat when it became available. That was prior to payment. Post payment I clearly do not exist. My only recourse was to contact the lift maker, Hi-Tide Lifts, and have them assist me with the problems and adjustments as Jason and Priority Marine Construction would give a "lip service" response, if any. They specialize in ignore and waiting for you to tire of calling. There is no "service person" and the office only refers you back to Jason, the completely unavailable Salesman for post install issues. There is supposedly an owner, Bill, but he must be behind the curtain as you will never hear from him. I have waited two months from my first request for services to write this review. I have engaged in multiple phone calls, texts, and emails, all to no avail. I have bought and personally installed repair parts and stabilizers as Priority has ignored all of my pleas, even when I have offered to pay them for services that were included in my contract and previously paid for. Most recently I have had to get the name of another Hi Tide Vendor due to the complete inaction on the part of Priority. In summary, if you are lucky enough to have the lift work flawlessly at install, you may never experience my horrible experience. But if not, you will hate the day you got involved with Priority. I doubt they were like this in the past as they would no longer be in business. But clearly something has changed, which in my case is a nightmare with a $400,000 boat and $23,000 lift getting beat up unnecessarily. I hope they straighten out, but I wouldn't count on it. More importantly, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole at this point.

Horrible ownership - DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. Very dishonest. Basically they contracted to replace the sea wall at my neighbors home. In an effort to reduce the cost of the sea wall my neighbor asked that I get an estimate for my wall. I called them and they never responded. Upon commencing the work on the sea wall they began jetting in the panels, thus causing the material behind my sea wall to wash out. I spoke with the owner of the company who agreed that their practice of jetting the panels down did cause the washing out of my fill. He also agreed to pour concrete in the holes when they poured the neighbors. (He also stated this in front of the neighbor) I informed him that I wanted an engineer to look at the sea wall and make sure everything else was ok. He agreed. I had a contractor look at the wall first who basically agreed with the owner and how to fix it. I forward the letter from the contractor to the owner who states he spoke to (via telephone) an engineer who states that he is not responsible. My first question was, what kind of sea wall engineer gives a determination over the phone? So then I hire a different sea wall engineer who agrees with the owner of the company and my contractor. He also states I have at least 10 years left on the sea wall. After sharing this with the owner, he still states that he is not responsible as I knew there was a problem with the wall; that is why I called for an estimate months ago. (Not true) So It cost me $1000 to have it backed filled and fix his destruction of my property and $350 for the engineer. **It should be noted the sea wall engineer stated that it was wrong to "jet" the panels into the ground; that they are to be pounded. I am assuming the engineer he spoke with told him the same thing as when installing the panels for the neighbor on the other side, he pounded them in........ My advice - don't use these people.

Priority Marine does GREAT work! We had an old deck that needed to be replaced. At the same time, we were replacing siding on our house. Priority Marine worked proactively with the siding company to schedule the work and they did a beautiful job on our deck. We had lighting done on the deck posts, in addition to the trex decking and everything was done perfect! We had zero issues and are so happy with the outcome. This company does quality work! Thank you so much!

These people built a dock on my neighbors house. They took soundings at my house whilst working next door and bid for my dock. I accepted a quote because Jason seems like a nice guy. I paid 50% down and my contract stated that with that level of deposit there could be no Notice to Owners for materials for obvious reasons. I received a notice to owner in any event. When they had started my dock I went out one day and saw that they had positioned the dock in a location where the water was not deep enough to lower the lift. I e mailed them and told them to stop work until we agreed a way forward. 2 days later I went on Holiday for a week and was horrified to find that on my return late on a Friday night the whole crew were in the river shoveling away at the river bed. These people have no clue what they are doing, take forever and can not be trusted. I retained money from my final payment and wrote up a contract that the owner was to sign to accept responsibility if the river bank ever fills back in but now he has most of the money he refuses to sign it, he is all mouth. I have three leaks on my water line and have given them notice to come and repair them......they did not. I have had the leaks repaired and today have issued a summons in the county court to recover that money and to have my catwalks corrected to the right length which were also installed short. I also have pilings which have sunk so I now have a trip hazard where the dock walkway joins the house. There are a lot of F ratings for this company and it is ironic that the A they have is from a guy who did not have work done.......that is reassuring I am sure !!

Jason, the sales person was a very hard working person that did his best to build a dock and lift that the county would accept. He was quick to have me sign a contract that protected Priority Marine but provided little for the homeowner. The installers, led by Kenny, could not have done a better job, they did everything that I expected with the best craftsmanship. The whole process, start to finish could have been quicker, I had to keep calling Jason to get the job "really completed" with a lift that actually WORKED the way it should. It was a long process lasting nearly 5 months. I am happy with my lift, just not happy with the follow through that Jason should have done. It's obvious that they have more work than they the ability to handle at the present time. When it comes time to put a roof over my lift, I doubt I would hire Priority Marine.

With very low tide and clearer water this time of the year (December), we noticed 2 of our dock pilings were in dire state, with large holes in the middle, making our dock very shaky. We were concerned it would fall apart at the next storm. We called 4 different dock companies. Priority Marine was the only one that called back that same day, within the hour of our original call. Bill, the owner, come & gave us not only an estimate, but explained in details everything he was planning on doing, and why, and also gave us some options, explaining the pros & cons of each. From the get go, we knew we wanted to do business with Priority Marine. We did have other estimates from 2 other companies, but they did not seem to have much experience or professionalism. Bill's crew from Priority Marine completed the work while we were out of town, kept in very close communication with us through the process, took pictures of their work, hauled the old piling away, left the place super clean. Once the work was complete, Bill did a walk through with us to make sure we were 100% satisfied, which we are. We highly recommend Priority Marine for their outstanding work, punctuality & professionalism.

Jason was highly professional and well spoken. He explained in detail his observations and recommendations and took time to make sure I understood everything both in terms of potential problems as well as what was good and what things I should be watching for when evaluating a seawall in a bayfront home. When I had initially approached Priority Marine I had offered to pay for the evaluation, but when all was done they insisted that it was "no charge". I was pretty surprised at this since there was no commitment to do any work and the cost estimate was under $500. In the end I did not purchase that home due to other issues, but certainly Priority Marine will be at the top of the list for any seawall or dock repair or construction I need in the future.
Description of Work: I had placed a bid on a house and the inspector I used recommended having a seawall expert take a closer look at what I believed were some significant gaps in the wall. I called Priority Marine and was very pleased with their responsiveness. Jason from Priority Marine agreed to perform a quick evaluation the same day that I called. He arrived on time and did a thorough inspection of the seawall as well as the dock, explaining in detail what he was looking for in the evaluation. His initial assessment was that the problems were minor, but that he wanted to pull the construction permits and inspection results to verify that the overall construction was sound and would follow-up with me within two days to provide his full opinion and estimate of any repairs needed. He followed up as promised and provided detailed description of his findings and the recommendation for some very minor repair work which he also suggested was not urgent.

Everyone did an outstanding job. The Dock, lift and boat look great. The water lines, hose bibs and shower heads came out fantastic (Mike and Steve from Florida Plumbing), and the shore power, electrical outlets, lights and sensor switches (Scarfone Electric) are all placed in exactly the right spots and work perfectly. The conduit through the seawall was placed so that none of the wiring or plumbing is visible from the dock or from the side. I don’t know how many people upgrade to the Hi-Tide X2, but I strongly recommend this to anyone buying a lift. And the 20k capacity eliminates any concern of water/gas or even weight from passengers, and the upgrade price includes alot of other upgrades. The speed alone is well worth the additional cost. Thanks Again – You did an outstanding job managing the seawall, dock and boatlift. Not sure what other services you provide, but I will certainly work with priority marine on any project. Be sure to request Josh and his team. Jason even added 2 additional piles to make sure the lower landing remains secure. Crew is coming back to add service platforms and pyramid steps. At their recomendation - we held off to order the extra platforms until after we saw how the boat physically sat on the lift, instead of guessing. great recomendation.
Description of Work: Priority Marine rebuilt my 80 foot Seawall and 500 sq foot Dock, and added a 20k HiTide X2 Boatlift. They constructed the largest dock allowed by local permitting, and saw the process through from filing the County and city permits and Notice of Commencements, to coordinating permits and timing of the construction, plumbing and electrical work. The entire crew even came back late after my boat delivery to help with the first lift to make sure everything was aligned correctly. The boat raises level and without issue every time, and they adjusted the limit switches so the boatlift never grounds and the cables don't become unwound.

After calling several companies, and receiving a few verbal estimates, we decided to go with Priority Marine, because of their prompt and professional response. The company presented a professional estimate in writing that included three options. The choices were repair work, replacing the old dock with a new dock, and the choices of material to be used. We found this very helpful and decided on a new dock. The work was done in one week. We watched the team working hard, especially considering the extreme heat in July. The team was punctual and left the property perfectly clean after the work was completed. The time frame from contacting Priority Marine to finishing the building the new dock took just about three weeks. We can highly recommend this professional company, Priority Marine.

Glenn and Scott were great. Showed up early morning every day. Tore everything out and had no problem answering any questions I had. They saw I had a Boxer that is more bark than bite and they even became friendly with him while I would have him outside. We love the new dock and like John promised, we had it for Christmas and the kids were fishing. Already we are thinking about hou eventually we are going to have them add on with lights, etc. Excellent job, excellent follow up and customer service.

Priority Marine did an excellent job in removing the old dock and building me a new dock according to my design specifications. I had had many diagrams on how I wanted the dock to be built with specifications detailing the bolts, lumber, framing, decking, pile size, and dimensions and they built it to the letter. Jeff and Troy, dock builders from Priority Marine, came out every day and even on one of the Saturdays because during the week it completely rained on Friday and they wanted to make up that lost time. They both worked tirelessly thought the summer heat, and Jeff especially is an incredible dock builder with lot of experience. They both took pride in their work. They took their time to get it right the first time, and they followed the plans I put together. They actually read my design and followed it. Jason, the project manager, made sure any concerns I had starting from our initial meeting through the final inspection were addressed. For example, prior to beginning the work, I was concerned my new seawall cap could get damaged and Priority Marine was able to get the old heavy dock out and bring in all the new materials to the site without any damage to my new seawall. I had bought a used boat lift, and Priority Marine uninstalled the lift from the previous owners address, transported it, and re-assembled it on new pilings alongside my new dock. I also had them replace a few key parts on the used lift before re-installing it and they had no problems doing that. Jason provided me and obtained all required permits through Pinellas county and the city of Saint Pete. Jason kept me informed throughout the project, letting me know the status and answered my questions on a timely manner. Overall I am extremely pleased on how my dock was built, and I have recommended them to others in my community who are looking for dock builders. Thank you Priority Marine.
Description of Work: I interviewed and ask for proposals from 8 different dock builders. This was very time consuming telephoning, setting up appointments, and meeting with each of them. I received very few bids. I thought Priority Marine's bid was the best, their interest in the job, their interest in wanting to accommodate and build a dock to my liking, and their clean record and license research made me pick Priority Marine. Work Description: Remove old dock. Obtain all required permits. Provide materials according to specifications. Install 21 pilings. Build dock frame and beams to support decking. Install decking. Uninstall used boat lift, transport, and re-install. No electric work was performed by Priority Marine.
