KB Builders Home Builder Remodeling + Design

We had talked to KB builders two years ago about renovating our condo on Tierra Verde. We had 2 other estimates from other contractors. Right from the beginning we really liked Pete the general contractor and Kathy Hsu, the project manager/designer with KB. We finally decided to have the renovation started this year in July. Cannot say enough good things about this company. Pete is very knowledgeable, skilled, professional and easy to work with. Kathy is absolutely fantastic with her scheduling of all the work, complete attention to detail, and most of all, she is very talented as a designer. She has basically designed the entire condo and we are so thrilled with all her finish choices. We live in St Louis, this condo is our vacation home, so we have not been there for the renovation project. They have been great at keeping us updated and sending pictures of the work being completed. The estimate they gave us in the beginning hasn't seemed to change at all, which is great, as we were worried they might go over as can happen with any company. They have stayed in our budget and haven't made us go to lowes, Home Depot, etc. for finishes. They have been very flexible with picking out very nice quality items. We are anxious to get down in October to see the complete finished project. At this point, we would highly recommend their services!

Pete K. showed up at the house to check out the project. He was punctual and seem very professional. It is a big project to remodel the house. He seem interested. It took a couple to 3 weeks to receive the quote back and the prices were very high. We tried to contact him back to go over the details of the quote to see where we could cut some of the prices down to go ahead with the project, however, never heard back from him. We are still looking for a provider.

We contacted KB to request a bid for a home addition that we were planning. We scheduled a meeting for 10/29/12 and they never showed up or returned our follow-up calls that day. We figured this was a bad sign and did not attempt to work with them further.

Very well. They worked quickly, neatly, and answered all my questions - no matter how many I asked. The crew was very nice.
