+ -1 moreIt was the best job for value since I moved here in 1986. I was not an easy customer, nor difficult. I knew what I needed to be done. They were perfect in all phases of the process. I see no reason to call anyone else; but if you must have multiple quotes......get your second and then hire Tree Monkeys. Just an excellent company and I can say nothing better than that.

+ -1 moreExceptionally well. One team came out last Thursday and the climber decided the job was above his area of expertise. Another 5-man team including two more-experienced climbers came on Sunday morning and did the whole job. Because of all the potential areas to be damaged, I took a lot of interest in what the team was doing. It turns out this was not necessary. I was amazed at how tree climbers work. Both trees were expertly taken down with no damage to any of the mentioned areas. The team was punctual, friendly and the yard looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived. I have used many tree service companies over the years and Tree Monkeys was the best. I probably could have found someone to do the job cheaper but no one could have done it better. I will be using them again when the need arises.
Description of Work: We had two large oak laurel trees in our back yard which were rotting out. The only access to the back yard is through our front yard and around the side of the house. Both trees were very close to other trees, shrubs, sprinkler heads, paver sidewalk and flower gardens.

+ -1 moreIt was a disaster. The foreman for the job was fired by the company. We also let them borrow our rake, which was never returned to us. They did come back to redo the job and they did buy a new rake which they gave to us. Even so, it took many weeks for us to arrange for them to come back. We would not hire them again and cannot recommend them.

+ -1 moreDid a very good job trimming and cleaning up palm trees in the front yard and large Bird of Paradise in the back. Also came back because I let them know some palm fronds were still hitting my roof. They took care of it. Communication could be better. They didn't come until it was nearly dark on the appointment day, so I thought they weren't coming at all. An update that they were running late would have been helpful. Also did not directly respond to my request for them to come back. I just got home from work one day and noticed it had been done. Quality work, though.

+ -1 moreIf you are looking for a tree service you need to call Anthony first. I had 5 companies bid on the job and Tree Monkeys, Inc was far and above the best priced. In fact, his price included stump grinding(and he was still cheaper) while the others put additional cost to this. But it was not just about price...it was also about the company. Tree Monkeys, Inc is a family owned-operated company and they truly care about their customers. Anthony is a genuine person with a passion for the industry. I liked him instantly and wished I had called him earlier. He is reliable and trust-worthy and I highly recommend him for your tree project!

+ -1 moreThe tree in question was rotted in several spots and had hollow portions making if too dangerous to climb. Its location near my septic tank and drain field in addition to being right next to my house posed additional challenges. Anthony and his crew arrived on time with a gigantic lift that allowed them to safely cut down the tree in sections without having to drive heavy equipment over my drain field. When they got near the top, they found a duck’s nest with eggs and were able to transplant it to a nearby tree. That was really great to watch, seeing that they took great care to protect my property from damage as well as caring for the resident wildlife. When they left, the only way to know that they had been there was the absence of the dead tree. A+ Highly recommend this company.

+ -1 moreAnothony and his crews are awesome! We have been using them for about 4 years, 3- 4 times a year on average for property maintenance. They call upon arrival, keep us informed along the way while working, and the men are always very nice and polite. They clean up all the debris, shred on site and blow off the area when they are finished. You can count on them to do the job, get it done properly and for a reasonable price!

The communications in terms of setting appointments, verifying dates of work, communicating late arrival etc did not meet expectations. I was disappointed that the stump grinder (who is apparently a subcontractor) left the side of our house covered in dirt.

Their estimator Ricky was very responsive and came on a weekend to do the estimate. He was very transparent/detailed about the work that would be required to do the job and pricing and was not pushy, which is something I definitely appreciate. They set a date and they came on time. It was a full day job and the crew did an amazing job and were very professional. I would highly recommend them and will use them again for any future tree trimming needs.

Description of Work: We had a VERY large tree leaning into our fence, pushing it over. I've seen the Tree Monkey's doing work in the area, so I called for an estimate. Jaimie and Ricky came over the same day. They gave us a great quote, they were hired on the spot. It was a few weeks before they could do the job, it was the start of hurricane season and calls were coming in like crazy. I received a call giving me the date. When the time became closer, I called to confirm the date the work was to be done because I had some people waiting to help with the fence. I called the office numbers available and had to leave messages, there didn't seem to be a secretary in the office. Finally Jaimie called back and apologized, stating the owners were out of town and they were so backed up. She was very sweet and gave us minute to minute time of when the guys would be here. Well they appeared just as Jaimie said they would. Tim ranged the door bell, and the work began. Derek, Patrick, and Tim were the young men doing the work, and what workers they were. Not only were the guys good workers, but they were very knowledgeable in there work. I ask who was going to stop the traffic when they brought the first branch down. Derek said we will bring it down just shy of the road. I didn't believe it, but sure enough the top of the tree came down about 2 feet from the road. I was shocked. They continued until the entire tree was down, which didn't take very long. One of them remarked that it was a good thing they watched the tree video last night, they all had a great sense of humor. After the tree was removed there was not one scrap left, they cleaned up so well. What a wonderful job they did, this is a great company. My thanks to Jaimie, Ricky from the start and Tim, Derek and Patrick for doing such a great job. And oh YES I would hire this company again!
