It went very well. He showed up on time and finished the work relatively quickly. Even installed a new spigot instead of reusing the old one, which looks and runs even better. He did a very good job. Rate charged was reasonable to the work done.
Description of Work: I needed an outdoor spigot moved to another side of my house, which required underground re-piping.

I found them through Angie’s List. He broke a picture of mine and did absolutely nothing about it. It broke the glass and I was really upset. While he was snaking the toilet, he hit the wall and the painting fell done and it broke the glass. It is still broken. So, I decided to try somebody else, that is when I tried the new guy. My toilet broke down constantly, that is why I brought a new one.
Description of Work: I used Pardo & Son Plumbing. The toilet keep plugging up. He came out and he snaked it. It was clogging constantly.

Removed broken arm. New shower arm tested, no leaks at that time. But a few days later when shower was turned on again there was a leak at the other end if his installed shower arm. called Pardo & Son Monday 9/19/16 and told them the other end of their shower arm is leaking. They didn't get back to me until this morning 9/21/16. They said that it needed a washer but they didn't have one. Said it was not their problem.

They did pretty good work. The granite backsplash was cut half an inch too high, and that had to be fixed before the plumbing work could be completed; Pardo & Son Plumbing was accommodating of this. I plan to use them again for a water heater installation.
Description of Work: I had granite countertops installed, and they went back and installed the plumbing after the countertops were in. They also replaced the garbage disposal, and did work in three bathrooms.

Plumber called promptly and we discussed what I wanted completed. He said he would show up on Friday between 8-10 am. He called on Friday, let me know he was on his way and when he would arrive. Let me know what he was doing and how it would look and how much it would cost. Very professional operation. Very Pleased with the quality of the work. I definitely will use Pardo & Son for my next plumbing need.

Initially scheduled for an appointment, but then had to reschedule for the next day because some other jobs went over schedule. That's ok, these things happen and the company was proactive in calling me and scheduling me first thing the next day. The next day's window was between 12-4pm and the technician called at around 11:30 and was at my house a little after noon. The work took about 45 minutes. The tech was very friendly and knowledgable, told me exactly what was wrong, what he was going to do, and how he was going to do it. The new fixture is a much better copper, quarter-turn bib with exterior piping to make it easier to replace in the future if needed.

Made an appointment to install a tub.. On the day of the appointment I woke up with the flu..called to cancel had to leave a message. A few hours later the guy called said he was on his way...within the scheduled time. I informed him I had called earlier and cancelled because I was sick. We concluded I would call and reschedule which I did. I have taken the day off for this appointment..no call no show an hour after appointment time of 10-2. I called and left a message..no return call. I can't understand how it went so smoothly the first time and horrible the second time. Don't know if miscommunication or an error on their part with appointment time and date.

I called for an appointment on 2/29/2016. I was told a plumber would arrive between 8AM & Noon. Shortly after 8AM I received a call from John who said that he would arrive in approximately 25 mins. John arrived and installed the new toilet in short order. No mess, no fuss and the job was completed at the cost of $125.00, apparently that's the minimum charge for the installation of a toilet. There is no Senior Discount for a minimum charge billing.

they came out to replace what we thought was a leaking water heater. it turns out the leak was coming from inside the wall by the water heater. they ended up cutting a hole inside my home wall by the water heater. they said it was dry inside the wall and told me i had a slab leak which is the concrete floor that the main water line runs under. they said for $275 they would do a leak test to find it. he said th repair work would be very costly. after listening to this nonsense i decided to bring in someone else for a second opinion at no cost mind you. he found the leak within 2 minutes. had they done there job correctly they would have found that leak. its cost me $90 for a wrong diagnostic. i wouldn't recommend them to anyone. lesson learned

Sir, I personally went to your rental property and had a water heater with me to install. I could have installed the heater with no questions asked, but I checked your water heater and saw that it looked to not be leaking. I noticed water coming from the wall behind the water heater, so I told you that I had to cut a hole in the closet check the plumbing out. I did not see a leak on your pipes in the wall, and informed you that I could cut another hole or it could be a slab leak. You then told me that your condo association would take care of the problem because they are responsible for anything in the walls. I then charged you $89 service charge for cutting the hole and trying to find out what was going on in your house. You gladly paid and I thought you were satisfied. I did not get any call or response about you being unhappy. I hope you can use our services in the future, and by the way you didn't have to replace your water heater which saved you over $700

I made a call for emergency plumbing services on a Saturday morning when I discovered my water heater leaking. John Pardo was at my door within an hour after I talked to him. He brought with him a new 50 gal Rheem water heater, which he installed in approximately 1 hour. During the repair, he pointed out to me a leaking valve and another one that no longer was shutting off water coming out of the water heater. He recommended that I should have those replaced along with the PVC they were attached to. He replaced the valves and installed PEC drainage lines. He cleaned up afterward, loaded up my old water heater in his truck, and was always courteous and professional. As for pricing, for an emergency call on the weekend (where service can run an extra $200-$500), I would say that John's pricing was excellent. Plus the additional work that he did was value priced. He always gave me a quote for all work and let me decide if I wanted to proceed. Would highly recommend!!!

I called to get details on the water heater deal (ie what type of water heater, how the deal would work) and spoke with someone answering calls. I asked about the deal and then did a preliminary scheduling of the install for Friday. After paying for the deal I got a message from them through Angies list that we were on slate for Friday morning. Come Friday morning my wife and I were waiting around all morning but no phone call from a plumber to say they were on their way. After lunch I decided to call them and got the same lady who said she would call the plumber to see what the hold up was and would call me back. An hour passed by and we still didnt hear anything so I decided to call them back. The same lady answered and said she was just about to call and that she forgot to put our job on the list for the day. She apologized and we ended up scheduling for Monday. Come Monday the plumber showed up on time around 9. He started the job and completed everything pretty quickly. I asked him about the complementary inspection and he seemed to not know what I was talking about and got a little agitated like he was ready to leave. I figured he didn't want to do any more work than he already did so I paid him the extra $50 for the shut offs and let him go along his way. The deal is not very clear about what inspection is included (ie is it just the water heater or a home inspection?) We have a few other issues in our house that need to be fixed that I was going to have him look at but did not so the plumber missed out on making some extra money.

The communication could have been a lot better. I had to reach out to the vendor each step of the way. They originally didn't think they had the water heaters in stock. They figured out that they did. Then the tech completely missed the morning 8:00am appointment and I called them around 9:30 to figure out that he couldn't make it. Planned to come in the afternoon and then tried to reschedule for the next day. I had to put my foot down and they got someone there that did the job rather quickly.

It went great! Service was performed in a timely fashion at a great price in comparison to other comparable services by other providers. They even installed a leak pan underneath the new water heater (at an additional price) which I had no idea was even an option as I had never had one before. The whole process, from diagnosing the old water heater to installing the new one was pretty quick. They even fastened an unrelated hose on the washer, one that had been a nuisance for years now, back to the wall at no extra charge to me. All in all, the service and price were excellent and I would definitely use Pardo and Son again in the future.

Communication after the purchase was good, and the plumber came pretty early in the time frame they gave me. I had emptied the water heater to prevent flooding; so that saved some time. I wasn't timing him, but the new install was completed quickly and professionally. No complaints and would recommend .

Plumber arrived timely to replace garbage disposal. Unfortunately, not being a smoker, he reeked of stale smoke which inundated the interior of our home. He replaced the disposal and emptied the contents of the p-trap into a bowl. He then tested but the disposal didn't work. He changed wiring to test the unit, it worked and he stated that we had a bad switch. We informed him the switch worked before he got there and he said that it must have just broken. We discovered that he replaced the unit without turning off the breaker which shorted out the GFI. We tried to reset the GFI but no luck - half the power in our house was now out. The plumber stated again that the switch was bad and that we would have to call an electrician. While working in the kitchen, he accidentally kicked over the bucket of nasty water and splashed it all over the cabinets which he made no effort to clean up. He did wipe the floor but left the cabinet, doors and drawers for us to clean. We had an electrician out the next morning who discovered a GFI on the same wiring had also tripped. He reset and charged us $115. We then called the owner of Pardo and explained what happened and after two weeks, he finally made a decision not to refund the money even after explaining to him that the unit was not de- energized and that was what caused the tripping. The owner was very professional but did not feel a refund was warranted. He did offer to provide a $25 credit for a future service but we declined as we lost confidence in his repairmen. I would look elsewhere for a plumber - there are many out there that properly de-energize equipment safely to ensure things like this don't happen.

They were prompt getting out here, but the backups kept coming back. They eventually told me that they came out to snake out my main line while I wasn't there, and left a bill and a cd of the camera inspection. I wasn't here, so I don't know that they actually did it, but the backups are still here. I've had a very hard time getting someone to call me back since then.

We went out the same day and did a main line stoppage for you, and cleared your line. We did not even charge you at the time and you wanted to do a camera job. I personal went out the same day. Did the camera job and found no problem. I even left the DVD there for you to watch. I was told you were going to be home. I knock on the door, ran the door bell and you did not answer. You were home in fact because I called you after I did the camera job and explained the situation and I am still waiting for payment of the work that was done. Thank you for using using us! We still want to be your plumber, but I don't know what else to tell you, but the honest truth that there is no problem with the drain that backed up, The DVD says it all.

This company committed to me that a tech would be at my residence on 9/22/2015 between 8-12. When 12 noon came and went I called the company and dispatcher assured me the tech was on his way and would be calling. Never happened. Finally at three I called the dispatcher again and she said the tech was tied up on a job and could not make it , but would be there at 10 AM on 9/23/15. The tech did arrive at my residence on time at but he was not prepared to install a new water line. That is basic service when a new dishwasher is installed, so I just told him to leave. This company has a poor communication system between their dispatcher and the techs in the field. I would never use this company again.

We have Old Republic Home Protection Company and when our garbage disposal broke, they sent Pardo & Son to fix it. They showed up and replaced the garbage disposal but didn't punch out the dishwasher plug. The next time we ran our dishwasher, water ran all over my floor and into my cabinets. When I called Pardo and Son, they said "Sorry" but wouldn't do anything about this easily prevented mistake. I then called Old Republic again and they too said "Sorry" and also wouldn't do anything about this mistake or their poor referral. Punching out the plug is common sense and necessary when installing a garbage disposal. I would never recommend using Pardo and Son or Old Republic. They don't stand behind their services and don't take pride in their work.

Was supposed to be a two-day job for three plumbers. They cracked a tile in the shower and one plumber put his foot through my dining room ceiling (picture attached) on day one. On day two the new pipes were leaking in the morning while I was brushing my teeth even though they had done an air pressure test to confirm that all the fittings were properly tightened. They only pulled a permit because I forced them to. Shouldn't this be a requirement? Day three they were supposed to fix the ceiling and replace the insulation in the attic. The ceiling did not look good at all which the main plumber agreed with (picture attached) and told me they would have someone come out to fix it better. That never happened. I had to spend my time finding someone to do a professional job. My contractor climbed up in my attic to confirm that they had replaced the insulation. They had not (picture attached). The owner himself, John Pardo, was involved and was very disrespectful of my belongings. He wanted to blow the texturizer on the drywall patches without draping expensive silk plants. I even disputed $500 of the charge on my credit card to cover my expenses for having someone fix the ceiling correctly and to pay for insulation. This still got no response from them. In my opinion that is having absolutely no pride in your work and not taking responsibility for your mistakes. I would never recommend them or hire them again.
