Description of Work: Called and set up an appointment for someone from this company to come out to my home on 9/10 at 9 a.m for window treatment. At 9:15 a.m when no one showed up and I had not received a call, I called and left a message inquiring as to when someone was coming for the appointment. At 9:25 a.m I received a call stating that my call was being returned and no one was coming because of a family emergency. So it seem that I "was stood up" without the courtesy of an initial phone call.

 + -1 moreI wanted to use a local, family-owned business, and based on their "A" rating on Angie's list (and senior discount), chose Central Florida Rod & Drapery. Very glad I did. Jane was a pleasure to work ... very professional, accommodating of my busy schedule, and just a nice person to work with. I had honeycomb shades made for a set of French doors and the sidelight next to the front door. She and Tom (the installer) also came up with an ingenious solution for light/heat control for the living room skylight. They fabricated a wood frame to attach on the outside of the opening, with the fabric stretched over it. Wasn't an easy install due to location (vaulted ceiling and partially over the stairway). Tom was always on time, professional and very pleasant. Most importantly, the French door blinds were initially made with light blocking fabric rather than filtering. I ordered corded shades but because of the unusual way the doors were installed, it was very difficult to raise/lower them once they were installed. Jane immediately re-ordered new cordless blinds with the filtering fabric, no questions asked, and at no cost to me! Within two weeks I had the replacements installed. I love my blinds, and plan to use them again soon for the upstairs bedrooms. Highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Fabulous is all I can say about this company! We had an electric roller blind put into our two story living room. It has an opening of 12 feet long by 20 feet high and looking onto a lake. I checked with several other companies and they were ridiculous as to price and made the large opening sound like a difficult project. When my wife and I walked into Central Florida Rod and Drapery they immediately understood what we wanted and talked to us about similar large window openings they had done. We wanted it to be electric so the huge opening can go up and down with ease. They have done many of these types of blinds. They had a huge selection of fabrics. We ordered what we needed and in three weeks it was installed. A very smooth installation; nice people to deal with; and I cannot say enough good things about this company and its owners and employees. They had very competitive prices. Never go with the cheapest or most expensive. Cheapest means they have minimum wage workers with very little experience and expensive is usuall a rip off. Central Florid was neither, but was reasonably priced.

 + -1 moreThey are vertical blinds covered in fabric so they are softer. When you open them you still see the outside. He also did some other treatments. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They did four of our long glass door walls. It's a soft material all across.
