We needed our roof cleaned and had heard their commercials on the radio, so decided to add them to the list of companies we had come out to give us an estimate. We called and told them we needed our roof cleaned. They came out to give us an estimate. Upon their arrival, they were very rude. (We live in a gated community and had told them to scroll down to our name at the gate, and that would call our house and we could buzz them in. Instead, they called and said our name wasn't on the list. When my husband asked if he was sure he had the name right, the guy said, "Are you going to let us in or not?" Turns out they had written our name down wrong). Once at our house, they said they would take pictures and "sit around our kitchen table" to discuss what needed to be done. The bottom line is that what they wanted to do was to MAKE REPAIRS to our roof, and then clean it. We haven't lived here all that long, and had our roof inspected before we bought our home, so we were not looking to have any repairs made. They were NOT interested in just cleaning our roof. As soon as they found out we would not make repairs, they wouldn't even look at the roof to give us an estimate to clean it. Now we know how they can afford all those radio commercials.

In the past year we bought an "as-is" a house that was built in 1992. We had observed numerous broken and displaced tiles and it appeared that the roof had no proper maintenance since its original installation. We contracted Visconti Roofing to make needed repairs and recondition the roof. They undertook the work promptly and we found their employees professional, knowledgeable and uniformly courteous. We had necessity to ask them to come back to deal with some isolated problems that were not apparent when the initial work on the roof was done and in this case, they again were very responsive and fully willing to stand behind their work. This is an especially important point in our recommendation. After you contract repair or maintenance work and the contractor is paid off and pulls out of your driveway, will they be responsive to "call-backs" should the need arise? Visconti Roofing gets 5 stars in the area of "service after the sale." Another point in their favor - in an industry where contractors are here today and gone tomorrow, Visconti has been around for over 25 years. They may not be the lowest-priced in this kind of work, but "cheap" isn't the best criteria for selecting a roofer. We recommend Visconti Roofing without reservation.

The staff was prompt and very professional. I would recommend this company to everyone who is having issues with their roof or would like to prevent any issues from the harsh elements. It's really given me a peace of mind. In three days time it was complete and worth every dime.

We told Papa we wanted to think this over, which I don't think set well with him. They left, and we never followed through with any work, instead calling Adler Roofing who had done the work in the first place, and they saw to our needs and we'd deal only with them in the future. I'd advise anyone calling this company to be very wary of everything one might be told and to definitely get other estimates for the work to be done.

I did not hire him as I felt strongly that he was misrepresenting the condition of my roof and that his price was ridiculous. He advertises extensively on radio in this area, sounding very folksy, continually stating we should call him (Poppa). We talked to a worker of his who did not have a marked truck or a business card. Perhaps he was a subcontractor. He had Poppa call us and he then came to our house with his son. From a ladder his son took digital pictures of a few areas of our tile roof. Then Poppa gave us a price of almost $14,000.00 to clean and coat our roof and repair tiles and re-cement where needed. We were amazed and said we could not agree to a price like that. Then he said he would lower the price by about $2000.00 if we signed an agreement to not disclose the price with any neighbors or friends. Boy did this make red lights go off in our heads. We said we would not contract him for anything on this visit and he said he could not offer this price again. We again said it was not possible for us to agree to his proposal at this time. At that point he gathered all his papers and quickly walked out. He did not leave us a written proposal or even a business card. It seems reasonable to us that he knew if we checked with other contractors not way was he getting this job. We own a plumbing company in NY and know the proper business procedures of selling a contract and he was sure wasn't it. My advise would be to steer clear of this man Poppa and his company. I suggest you also read the BBB complaint.

We built the house in'02. Original tile roof never leaked. After these people did their work, ( done in January 2013) we had 3 leaks: the first in June '13 causing damage to sheetrock on both sides of a wall between my wife's office & garage. Finally completed repair 10/15/2013. Very slow response to my calls. November '13 new leak between an external wall & my office, behind sheet rock & my wall bookcases. January '14 repair attempted, February '14, 2nd repair attempted, February '14 final repair attempted--all failed to stop roof leak. Once again, very slow response to my calls. March '14, a third leak in guest bathroom ceiling. I gave up on these people & called a competent roofer who evaluated the problems & repaired them all in 5 days. I would definitely avoid doing business with these people.
