I hope that you read through this whole post because it is important for you to know! The owner is rude and very unprofessional. He is not interested in doing the right thing, I purchased a home in which this company installed an A/C unit in 2019 (September less than a year ago) . The unit is now freezing over every two days. Their excuse is that the return air is undersized, but they installed the system in its entirety. There has not been a problem for 11 months but now oine day after they performed the contracted maintenance, it is having problems, and all of a sudden it's a a return air issue! Does that make sense? No it does not! After further investigation, I found out they purposely "Cork Tapped" the safety float switch which is completely illegal, fraudulent, and unethical. For those that do not know what this is, I will explain: The safety float switch is designed to shut the unit off if water (condensate) is detected in the pan, so that the unit does not leak water/condensate causing an overflow issue that may cause damage to the a ceiling drywall (attic installed unit). If it is corked off, the unit will not shut off and freeze over causing an overflow of water when the unit thaws out! Cork tapping is filling the float switch with a tar like substance that prevents the float switch from detecting water. This is an unethical scam tactic! When they complete the install, a city inspector will not likely see the cork tap because it is installed in the screw in fitting to the unit. As a result, the company capitalizes by the customer having to call back the company to to fix the issues at a cost! This is a scam that most would not know about! When scam companies do this, their license should be pulled. This is my case! I will be calling the city inspector out to verify my findings, and filling a small claims law suit on this company for purposely rendering a safety device inoperable on my unit causing internal ceiling drywall damage due to the pan overflowing. If you want to save yourself some frustration and heartache, I would suggest you use a different company.. These guys are definitely scammers!
