We recommend Scott highly. He is professional, courteous, and an expert in his field. He spent a lot of time installing a new TV, remote, and surround sound system and made sure we understood how to use all the equipment before he left. He is a real find.

I hired Techorators for a project initially quoted at $19,000, but the final bill reached nearly $28,000, which is unacceptable. Touchscreen Installation: I was promised a 10.1-inch touchscreen, described as a demo model used only three times. Instead, I received a 7.1-inch screen, with claims that the larger unit didn’t work. This raises concerns about honesty regarding the products used. Labor Hours: The contractor billed me for excessive hours, stating he could work from home on programming tasks. I hired him to work at my house, not remotely, and the inflated hours are frustrating. Light Switches and Wiring: He disposed of light switches he claimed were defective, saying they were the wrong color or didn’t work. When I asked him to retrieve them from the trash, he refused. I recovered the switches myself and have photos as evidence. Moreover, he charged over $6,000 for wiring he claimed was burnt. In reality, the wires were simply exposed to the elements, a basic principle any knowledgeable contractor should know. His claims about the wiring were misleading. Unjustified Charges: Charging $3,500 for light switches was unreasonable, especially since he should have checked their condition beforehand. Additionally, the $6,000 for rewiring and replacing switches felt like an attempt to take advantage, as he used our wiring while charging for new materials. Workmanship and Accountability: The quality of work was lacking, and he left tasks unfinished, requiring me to insist he return. Simple tasks, like installing wall covers, were neglected. Payment Practices: To top it off, he demanded payment for labor upfront, which goes against standard practices. Labor should be billed upon project completion, not before.
