He took an afternoon to take us around to some of the projects he had worked on or was currently working on to give us an idea of the scope of work his company provided. We had met with several contractors to talk about our project and something just clicked with Ron. We formed an immediate rapport and confidence in his abilities. Our project was expensive, lengthy and extremely complicated at times, so it was important to get the right company; we had a complete tear down of most areas of the home, and had to get an architect involved for the kitchen, as we tore out walls to expand the area. With a project of this scope it can be very time consuming, expensive, and frustrating. However, we always had every confidence that things were being done professionally and with great attention to detail. Most importantly are the relationships we formed with Ron, Sean, and the rest of the Ron Schmitt team. We always felt as though we were the most important people that they were dealing with, knowing that they had several projects going on at the same time. Now, after the completion of our project we remain friends with Ron, Sean, and their family. If you are looking for a company that offers quality, integrity, honesty, and the utmost professionalism, this is the company for you.

 + -1 moreFrom the very beginning I was impressed by the prompt response to my request for a bid, as well as comprehensive and engineering and design services offered. Despite starting the project at the beginning of the rainy season, the project was completed on time and within budget. I also appreciated the flexibility of project specifications and accommodation of changes. Finally I was pleased with the quality of the workmanship of RSC and their subcontracters. Ron proved to be a man of integrity who was professional through out the duration of the project. I highly recommend using his services.

 + -1 moreAfter the initial wait of several months getting all of the county permits approved, construction began around May, 2014. Ron explained all of the details of the construction before each step of the process. Asked our opinions on each thing. Even kept in touch with us and sent us pictures of the progress while we were out of town. They were very professional and got things done in a timely manner. The covered patio was just what we wanted. Could not have turned out better. Project was finished about Aug. 13, 2014. Cost of new roof-$45,000. Cost of new pool cage-$8,000. We are very satisfied with the job and would recommend Ron Schmitt's company to others.
Description of Work: Ron built a new roof over the patio of our house. He followed the design plans provided by Art Castellanos, Architect. He also replaced our white pool screen cage with a bronze one.

We have had other homes built in the past, but the expertise, proffesionalism and eye for detail with Schmitt Construction was a whole level above our previous homes. During the course of construction Ron and his crew came up with fantastic ideas that were not originally thought of, but made our home even more custom. Yes we have a one of kind home built by a one of kind builder (Ron should trademark that phrase). Description of Work: We had a complete guest bathroom overhall. From design to execution, the process was a smooth one. To insure that we would be happy with the results, we were taken to a previous renovation with results similar to what we were looking for. (The home owners were most gracious in opening their home to us, and had nothing but glowing things to say about their experience.) Our old bathroom was gutted down to the studs. Since our home was built in 1970, our electric had to be brought up to code. Additional outlets, new exhaust fan and shower light were installed. In addition, the location of the shower (replacing a tub) was moved, as were the sinks. All new fixtures were installed (toilet, sinks, etc.) A wall was made into a half wall and shower enclosed with seamless glass enclosure. New designer self-closing cabinets were installed with granite top. Pocket door was installed. Floor and shower were tiled, and entire bathroom painted. The personal assistance received by all the craftsmen involved was wonderful. Everyone associated with the renovation was a true professional. A joy to work with. On a side note, our very erratic schedule made scheduling all the more difficult for Ron Schmitt; yet our needs were always accommodated without hesitation. We were never made to feel that we were inconveniencing anyone (though I am sure there were times that we most definitely were). This is not the first job we have had done by Ron Schmitt Construction, and it will most definitely not be the last!!

Description of Work: Our home had a house fire and we hired Ron Schmitt Construction to rebuild our home and it was done within seven months. Ron worked closely with the insurance comapny and made sure that all the costs stayed within the terms of the insurance company. He helped us pick kitchen cabinets, tile, carpet, fixtures, everything that was needed for the home. We would definitely hire his company again. Great job!!

Ron was on sight and extremely efficient in getting our DETACHED GARAGE completed in a timely manner. Ron personally informaed us of all details from permits, to inspections, to sub-contractors and was always available to answer any questions we may have had along the way. He came in on budget as promised and completed as promised (actually we were surprised everything was completed so quickly). Ron and all his crews (concrete, roofing, painters, electrical, etc.) were polite, on time, and experts in what they did. We would give Ron Schmitt Construction an A++++ and highly recommend his company to anyone. We were so pleased with the detached garage; we also hired Ron to have our attached garage driveway re-done. (excellent job, too). Ron and his crews went above and beyond in making everything perfect.

He was really on top of everything and a real perfectionist. We are getting ready to call him back to redo our bathroom.
Description of Work: Ron Schmitt has done several jobs for us in the past couple of years. The last time he did the kitchen like the granite countertops and few other things. He also did the main kitchen of our house after that after few months like granite, countertops, backslash and everything.

 + 0 moreFrom start to finish, it could not have been a more pleasant experience. The professionalism of Ron Schmitt and everyone associated with the project was exceptional. Not only was the quality of the workmanship outstanding, but the care shown in all aspects (from scheduling of workers, to clean-up) was truly above and beyond all expectations. Not only would I recommend this contractor (which I have done on numerous occasions), but I have used them on other projects in the past (re-model of family room with fireplace and built-ins, roofing, etc.) and am currently in the process of beginning a bathroom remodel with them. As an added bonus (and one of the most important issues, in my mind) is the fact that they are HONEST and RELIABLE; and show true concern for making the homeowner's desires met (and exceeded). As a homeowner, there is always a list of never-ending projects to tackle; and I look forward to many years of doing business with this firm.
Description of Work: Renovation of summer kitchen including demo and removal of old kitchen, construction of new kitchen (including stucco, cabinets, tile work, vent/duct work for installed Viking grill and exhaust, plumbing and installation of bar sink, fan installation, ceiling repair and painting).
