We have a vacation rental property in Cape Coral so it is important that the service providers I have be reliable. Since I live in another state I do my best to screen potential providers. After getting Michael business card, I called and left a message. It took 4 days for him to return my call. He sounded as if he provided the services I wanted. However, since he didn't return my call promptly, I wasn't sure that he would work for my requirements. A couple of months later, I called to see if he was still in business and still willing to do my pool maintenance. He seemed enthusiastic and we agreed that he would start on November 1, 2013. At that time, he told me he would check my pool water and touch base prior to the start date. When I didn't hear back from him, I sent an email. After no response, I sent another email telling him that I would not be needing his service. This was his reply (direct quote): "Ya, i read my emails... But real business is not dependent on them. I didnt email you because i dont have time for games you play! I dont WAIT months for pool service to start, talk on the phone for hours for no reason, go do chem checks when not paid for services rendered! Your a person i would not want on my perfect route. You may seem to yourself that you might be in control? But when someone sees you for who you are , you run away! So in conclusion, Give me a break and your not worthy of my services. Dingbat. :-)" Because I am not local, I often use email with my service providers. I need to know that I can be in touch with them. After receiving this reply from "The Pool Specialist" I am very grateful that I did not start using him for my pool service. Perhaps he is very good with local customers but I do not believe he is capable of working with people who are living at a distance. He didn't make telephone calls that he promised and he was rude when contacted through email.
