LANAI WINDOW ENCLOSURES

INSTALLATION WENT WELL. INSTALLERS WERE FAST AND COURTEOUS. WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK WE HAD A HARD RAIN. THE TRACKS OF THE SLIDERS FILLED UP WITH WATER AND OVERFLOWED INTO THE ROOM. ON 9/1/14 I CALLED THE OWNER AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED. HIS RESPONSE WAS, "WITH ALL OF THE THOUSANDS OF INSTALLATIONS WE HAVE DONE, THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT." WHEN I SAID WE HAVE A LIFETIME GUARANTEE AGAINST LEAKAGE HE SAID "THAT IS CORRECT BUT THAT APPLIES TO LEAKAGE OF THE WINDOWS AND DOOR NOT WATER COMING UP IN THE TRACKS." I CONFIRMED OUR CONVERSATION BY EMAIL. I WAS LEAVING FOR 3 WEEKS THE NEXT MORNING SO I COULDN'T FOLLOWUP UNTIL I RETURNED. I CALLED HIM AGAIN ON 10/1/2014 AND HE PROMISED TO SEND THE INSTALLER TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT TO SEE IF HE COULD FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. WHEN NO ONE SHOWED UP IN 2 WEEKS I HAD TO CALL AGAIN. THIS TIME HE PROMISED THAT THE INSTALLER WOULD BE HERE ON FRIDAY 10/17/2014. THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO. NO ONE HAS COME YET. I HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN GIVEN THE COURTESY OF A PHONE CALL TO EXPLAIN THE LACK OF SERVICE. THE PRODUCT IS VERY NICE. THE SERVICE....WELL THAT'S ANOTHER STORY.

Everything went well as planned. Good company, from my experience. Enclosed my lanai with acrylic windows/sliders.

The Sales person for the company is just a LIAR. Everything he said is not true. The OWNER is just a total jerk. We were told that the windows weighed 25 lbs when installed they are actually somewhere around 75 lbs each. The installers were slobs. Our neighbors complained of the fowl language used by all of them. They left the lanai filthy there were so many metal filings it was awful the area where they drilled to install the track was never cleaned and filled with drilling powder. When the work was inspected by the city of Bonita Springs the inspector informed me that if there is wind gusts of 75 miles per hour these doors must be removed, that was the first I heard of it. The sales person nor the OLD OWNER never told us that. Also the inspector said there should be a decal on each door telling of the need to remove the doors in the wind condition. There is only one decal hiding on the bottom of the track. The inspector said he could still approve the job. I would never recommend this compan to anyone.
