They were up front and honest and didn't charge for the evaluation. They also didn't leave me hanging and recommended someone they believed was reputable to do the work.

This is one place I can go to have my car serviced and I don't feel intimidated. I KNOW the repairs I need will be done right and at a reasonable price. I KNOW I'm not going to be ripped off or force fed services that are not needed. If I have any questions, they are answered clearly and respectfully. Whatever is broken or needs repairs it's explained to me in terms I understand so I know what is wrong and how long it will take to fix and how much it will cost.... there are no "surprises" - it's nice to feel confident and know my safety is as important to JR's Auto as it is to me.

I had set up an appointment to have my brakes checked. I was having the usual symptoms, low pedal, allot of brake dust on the front rims of the car a brake scrub sound. The staff are very friendly and professional. Within 5 minutes of arriving my car was being taken back to be looked at. Within 20 minutes the tech was showing me the worn brake pads and explaining what needed to be done, 5 minutes later I received an estimate. I needed all 4 brakes and 2 rotors replaced. Not a surprise as this car is from the north where they use salt in the winter time. What was a pleasant surprise is when Don told me they could save 2 of the 4 rotors and save me $120! He also told to about the products they would be using, no junk or low end stuff, all quality parts designed to be reliable and last. The job was done in a timely fashion (remember it's brakes so it takes time), and I had the car back the same day. A plus is the parts are warrantied for 2 years of 24,000 mile. The tech also went above and beyond and fixed a couple of minor issues he seen at no additional cost. I'm very satisfied with JR's . and have found my new mechanic! .

This the second time I use this provider & will not be the last. Very friendly staff made me feel welcome & assured. The work was done promptly & on budget. Will keep using them!!

Frustrated with dealer, I contacted JR'S Auto Clinic. They responded right away & asked me to come in. They checked my car & explained to me what was wrong. They did not repair the car because it is still under warranty & dealer should fix it. It was a really good experience & I definitely will keep coming here for my other vehicle when the need arises.

What a creative, pleasant and honest team. Since moving to Matlacha 10 years ago I have taken my cars primarily to the dealers in Fort Myers, or the occasional fast oil change or tire facility for minor maintanance, not knowing where else to go for my general service requirements. Angies List has been a real positive experience. It guided me to this auto service center and have now found my new provider for all future auto services. The dealer estimate, and what I have read on-line, to replace the positive battery cable and battery was in the $600 - $1000 range, which normally ends up at the higher end. Honda would not agree that what I was experiencing was a leak in the fairly new Honda battery which was causing the massive corrosion problem that ate up the cable end. My final bill, after JR’s Auto Clinic volunteered to accept the Angies List discount coupon, that I failed to print and bring with me, was less than $136 plus tax. What a value for such a professional job. I am impressed and will be visiting them for all of my future auto services.

He has about 50 ratings on Angie's List that are good. I sat with him and he told me I didn't need a fan clutch. He read the codes on it, had me bring it back after four days and reread them to make sure there was nothing on computer and they were not. He explained all the dynamics of the fan clutch and how it works. He took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and to assure me that I didn't have a problem with my fan clutch. The price was reasonable for what he did and the time he spent with me.

I was very impressed with the outstanding customer service. They were kind and professional. I felt like I could trust them.

The service took about 40 minutes. I liked everything, the people and owner, they are honest upfront and quick. I'm in and I'm out. I'd tell my friend that they would provide fabulous service and good work.

Drove vehicle to shop. Arrived at appointment time. Moved vehicle from parking lot to garage a few minutes later. Inspection was done, gas added and done in 30 minutes. Technician/owner met me and explained everything.

I went to JR's in late March 2014 because of a fan issue; They fixed the problem and I was extremely satisfied with the work performed, cost, and the integrity of the staff. Last week, the ac/fan stopped working and I made an appointment to return to have JR's check out the problem. I took my van to their shop this morning. The owner explained what they would do before anything was done. As it turns out the fan was working now and this appeared to be an intermittent problem. The owner researched for possible similar issues on the web and gave me the information in the event the problem reoccurred. I was not charged and told to bring in my van if/when the problem happened again. I encourage everyone to take their vehicles to JR's. These folks are honest and will give you outstanding service.

I had purchased an older car just for transportation. I knew it need several repairs and took it to JR's. He went over the car, performed the instructed repairs and advised me of other situations that needed attention. I am an old mechanic and knew he was correct in his recommendations. The car has been there twice for repair and they have done a wonderful job throughout the entire process. They advised me on some things that did not need to be done and others that did. They did a trmendous amount of work on a car that turned out to be a theft recovery with a rebuilt title. Total cost for all maintenance was just around $600. That was a bargain for all the work and advise they gave me. I shudder to think what would have happened to a non-mechanical minded person at any other repair facility. Don is an honest and knowledgeable man as is all his employees. It is hard to find a good auto repair shop, but this is one to trust.

Repair done while I waited. Price was more than I expected, but work is guaranteed for life and they were very professional.

From start to finish this JRs Auto Clinic gave us great service. They were prompt, courteous, and the charge was reasonable. Most of all I felt they were trustworthy, something you just don't find in the auto repair business. I had gone to a different repair shop to diagnosis the noise I heard under the hood. This was a shop where I was a frequent customer. After checking it out, I was told that I needed an alternator belt and a new alternator. The estimate was for $400. I felt that something was wrong since I had an alternator installed a few months ago while out of town. I then took it to Advance Auto Parts to have the alternator tested. They said it was fine. After checking on Angie's List I picked JRs Auto Clinic to get another opinion. When I called to make an appointment they informed me that there was a charge for an estimate. I agreed and made the appointment. They got me in promptly the next day. Their initial thought from the sound was that it was the alternator belt also. However, after checking the car out, they determined the noise was coming from the water pump. I was relieved since the cost to install the water pump was significantly less than the price I was quoted to replace the alternator and belt at the first shop. Long story, but the point is that they saved me money and the headache of having an unnecessary repair that didn't fix the problem. Yeah! I will be going back.

As with most, finding a car or truck mechanic makes me apprehensive. I came to J.R.'s because of Angies list ratings and all the outstanding reviews that came with it. Called JR's late in the day to schedule an inspection on my truck ( Making a loud alarming noise when turning). Barbara had me in early next morning. After arriving I was asked some specifics about my truck and was kindly escorted to a waiting room that was just as comfortable as my own living room. Don thoroughly checked out my truck and found the problem making all the racket under my frontend and gave me a full report of everything that could be improved, big and small and gave me an honest estimate of what was important versus what would be nice. Don is very knowledgeable and explained any and all questions I asked. Honest car & truck mechanics. Not an oxymoron. Don & Barbara are very Professional and I highly recommend. Thanks guys!!

When I arrived I was greeted by both men behind the counter, I was told they would be with me in a moment. I was called to the counter but the person seemed annoyed. I don't believe he was annoyed with me, it seemed to be with the other guy behind the counter. I did try to make a joke to relax him a bit...but he wasn't having that. For this reason I gave the professional rating a B. The rest of my interaction with this person was fine and actually improved going forward. By the time he called me up to the counter to discuss my service going forward his manner had changed completely, and he was more professional and approachable. Overall the service was excellent, the time that it took to be completed, especially since once the breaks were off they determined that additional work was required. They only charged me their cost of the part without additional labor which I appreciated. I would use this provider again. I moved to this area recently and have been trying to find a auto service provider to use in this area. I would like, if work is guaranteed, that the information would be indicated on the work receipt.

Immediate appointment the same day. Identified problem and explained in detail, the issue that was causing the vibration. They are so knowledgeable and extremely honest.

Took car to JRs auto clinic because of noise at front of vehicle. They checked it out and found bad right front hub assembly. They were able to replace the part while I waited! Even got a discount with a coupon from Angies list. Under 2 hours from evaluation to out the door don't get much better than that!

I got an estimate a few weeks earlier. Brought car in the 18th at 11:00 AM, picked it up at 5:00 PM. All was OK.

I got in the same day for an estimate and the staff was so informative and friendly. They were able to go ahead and do my repair right then while I waited. I was also able to get all kinds of useful information that I needed on another vehicle that I have that needs a repair. I definitely will be back.

Described issues, made an appointment. JR's called twice to insure work was authorized and price was ok. Finished product was very satisfactory. Will use again.

They were friendly and knowledgeable. The work was finished in a couple of hours just as promised. Unlike a lot of mechanics, they took care not to get the interior greasy! Reasonably priced.

I called Thursday evening to explain the problem (truck would not start). Don agreed to take the truck the next morning. I had it towed in early in AM and by noon it was fixed and ready to go. I was impressed that Don didn't just fix the problem but also explained how ethanol fuel impacts the fuel pump and added fuel conditioner because I don't drive the vehicle a lot. This was going the extra mile - hard to find in Florida!
