John R Wurtenberg Jr Cabinet

One hears so many stories about the miseries of remodeling that I am happy to share on that has gone amazIngly well. John Wurtenberg, of JBERG Cabinetry, came to my house to look over the kitchen, to talk to me about my plans, and to put together an estimate. He laid out a design and made recommendations on exactly what I should do. I have a small kitchen with very limited counter space, and I really wanted to add an island in addition to replacing all the existing cabinets. John clearly wanted me to have a kitchen I would love, and he encouraged me to spend a little more than I had planned in order to have pull-out shelves in the pantry, a trash and recycle bin cabinet, a lazy Susan in an otherwise inaccessible corner, etc. Now that the cabinets are in, I can see that he was exactly right in his suggestions and I'm so glad I took his advice. John worked with me on getting the cabinets and extras down to a price level I could afford without compromising the design. He was professional, punctual, determined to have everything perfect, and refused to take any shortcuts. I was able to look at another kitchen he was installing before I signed the contract and when I saw the quality of the cabinetry and the quality of his work, I didn't even want to talk to anyone else. I knew I wanted John to put in my kitchen--and I have absolutely no complaints at all. The only caveat is that John can be so busy with meeting his commitments to customers that it's hard for him to find time to return calls from prospective customers. But that's just the reality of running a small business without a dedicated office staff--and of course he has that much less overhead to pass on to his customers. I am recommending John to everyone I know.
