I'm very, very happy. They did a great job. They exceeded my expectations.

roy was on time for estimate and work, courteous and has an all-work attitude...he's friendly, but clearly he's there to do a job...i consider that a plus...he did a great job and even did some extra grouting and replaced a chipped floor tile without charging us more...i would use him again for any work he does

On time, professional, good quality work

My first call to Hubby for Hire was to check out a leaking window. I expected we'd have to take the window out and reinstall, which could take several hours. Rui made suggestions that saved time and money and took care of the leak, without a great expense. Since then, we've called on Rui several times for and quot;handymanand quot; jobs and we are always very satisfied with the work that' done.

I contacted Rui and he came the same day to give an estimate. His pricing beat the several other vendors I had called. Rui explained that he had a job in progress and could start April 1st. We set our start date and time and he arrived when he said he would. He placed plastic on the floors from the bath to the entry, then began his demo work. Once the walls were down he adjusted the plumbing that was required. I had removed a tub that we didn't use, to make room for a closet and lengthen our smallish shower. In the following days Rui removed the old shower floor, framed the space for the new shower and closet, dry walled the closet and boarded the shower. The new shower floor was done and the second week the tile went in. He installed the closet, shower doors and all hardware. Rui is meticulous with his work and is a pleasure to work with. He always arrived on time and took very few, if any, breaks. Overall he did a fantastic job and we were quite pleased.

It didn't. No response to messages.

The tile in our shower was in need of repair due to a poor installation in one small area. Rui came to our home, at the time he promised, gave us an estimate -he returned the next day and did the work in a very professional manor. We are very happy with his work and would recommend him highly.

No one returned my calls; if they are too busy, they should have at least returned my calls to let me know they could not give me an estimate.

I just told the story. Initially went well, but as the job went on I felt that they thought they would not have had to spent as much time as they did, and there was a feel from both sides that things should be finished within a certain amount of time, and that was not happening. I was anxious to get my house back, and they were anxious to get their money, which resulted in a terrible finish, where we are still working in it to clean up.

Rui did such a fantastic job on repairing the pavers on our pool deck. We had a problem with extreme sinking of the pavers around the perimeter of the pool cage just over a year after it was built, and the pool company said that it was no longer under warranty and would have to charge us to come out and repair. Rui pulled all the pavers and reset them beautifully, as well as correcting the placement of the filter that the original pool company never fixed. He completed the job in three days, just as he stated he would. He was extremely professional, on time, and completed the job without dispensing ANY sand in our pool. I would definitely call him in the future to do additional work around our home. Thanks again for such a wonderful job!

There is no story. I hired the man to do the job and he did it; when he said he would, and completed it when he said he would.

Very well

Rui returned my initial call the same day. We scheduled a time and day. He did call to say he would be a few minutes late on the day of service(no problem) and then got right down to work when he arrived. I learned a great deal about tile, floors and how they are installed. I would hire this man in a heartbeat if it were an issue he could handle. His price is fair, fast and honest. And he cares that the customer is happy with the results.

They were very professional. I will hire them again. You feel very comfortable with this guy when you are new to this area. I would rate them high overall.

They were reasonable and professional. He showed up on time, but he said he would call back and didn't call for a few days. When he called back, we discussed a few things to be done and he again said, he'll check and call back, but never did so. I will not contact him in future.

Rui showed up right on time. He dug the old, cracked grout out of the shower wall, and re-grouted the entire wall. He also sealed along the baseboard. Rui did exactly what he said he would do, and he was actually finished earlier than I had expected. Another great job.

A bunch of tiles - approximately 8 - had come up about 1/4 inch off of the concrete subfloor of my lanai. Rui pulled up the damaged tiles, and, cleaned the subfloor, and replaced the tiles. He was even able to use one of the old tiles to cut a small corner piece. He also replaced a ceramic soapdish and ceramic towel bar that had come off the wall. Rui showed up when he said, performed the work quickly, and cleaned up after himself. I did not have to go back and clean the area after he was finished. He did a great job - a total pro.

He was always on time and even worked when he was sick, he was very helpfull he gave us suggestions on how to do other things around our condo, were new to the area, we would call him for any kind of work he was very knowledgeable about lots of things, he was very reasonable priced he did the work all him self like he was doing his own home. He takes great pride in his work. I will recommend him to others in the complex.

We have used Hubby for Hire for a number of projects, and have been satisfied on each occasion. He has responded in a timely manner to our requests, his work is excellent, and prices are fair. We will continue to use his services in the future, and have already recommended him to our neighbor.

I am extremely satisified. Rui is indeed true to his word and estimate, he did more than his estimate called for but didn't ask for an increased amount. He left the work area clean. I will use Rui the next time we need something done. He told us he also does pavers and when we are ready he is the one we will call.

I've just had pavers installed in my patio by the handyman company Hubby for Hire, of Cape Coral, FL, owned by Rui Ribeiro. I turned to and ldquo;Hubbyand rdquo; after my first contractor, who had done some other work in our townhouse community and came recommended by a former member of the HOA's architecture committee, agreed to do the job and had me order almost $1,000 worth of pavers, sand and cement from a big box hardware store. But, complaining about the heat and then the rain and then the pressure of other jobs, he promised to start my work many times, but he never showed. After several months of delays, coupled with several attempts by the big box store to deliver the materials (no place to put them but my driveway in our small community, so I had to resist the store's efforts to rid themselves of my materials), which the store agreed to keep until I found a replacement (Lowes was the very cooperative store). I found Hubby in the local paper and Rui quickly came to size up the patio job, as well as a couple of other finish carpentry jobs I also had on the burner. He gave me fair estimates for the projects and a starting time for the patio project. Rui worked hard to clear the overgrown patio area and to trek the pavers and bulk containers of sand from the front to the back and ndash; all by wheelbarrow (Our HOA allows no loaders or trucks on grass at the rear of my building). He did a careful job on the paver project, making sure it was solid, square and had an esthetically pleasing pattern for the pavers. The sides of the patio were cemented in place and the sand between the pavers swept into the cracks, watered and re-swept. He even used a putty knife to attack some hard-to-fill areas between pavers. Adding another worker to speed things along, he essentially finished the work on Friday and hauled away the debris. But just before leaving, he decided to come back Saturday and spent a couple of additional hours to neaten things up and make sure the patio looked good. Although we had to discuss what was to be done a few times during the project and I also changed my mind about the scope and design (for which Rui fairly charged an additional fee), I think his end price was reasonable, his work conscientious and the project completed well and on schedule. I would recommend Hubby for Hire (Rui's licensed) for many of the skilled tasks Hubby advertises. Just be clear at the start on what needs to be done and Rui will do the job well. He skillfully pulled my chestnuts from the fire on this project at a reasonable price.
