Outstanding operation! Denny was pleasant and easy to work with, even with changes being made. All crews were great, hardworking and caring. Finish detail work was remarkable. Kudos to Joey for fine tuning details. Very impressive overall!!

It had a crack going all the way from end to end within a few months of completion. One year warranty was worthless as well as the shoddy repair attempt. Filed complaint with BBB and John Honc came over personally and told me Manager was fired and another attempt was made to repair second time and it just got worse and repair failed again. Now I'm way past the one year warranty and they are just going to walk away and leave it in this condition. There's a serious crack in their business practices and workmanship. The work was fine and they were very helpful until the end. I had also contracted with their sister company Honc Docks to replace a dock at the same time. When the work was completed, I had a question about cracks in the cap before I made final payment. They called and explained things to me and I was fine with the explanation. I asked for a copy of the final bill so I could pay them. When I didn't receive one, I called for the balance due. Unfortunately, I called the other Honc company and was told my final bill was paid and there was no balance due. When the final bill for Honc Marine Contracting didn't get paid because I thought it had, instead of calling or emailing me, they placed a lien on my home for the small balance that was due. If they had simply called or emailed me, I would have sent them a check right away. Instead, they file a lien without even contacting me. Not great customer service.

Every thing went smoothly and as quoted. I had to get a couple extra permits, and they handled it all. I have another water front lot that needs a sea wall and dock. They will be my first choice.

It was truly a pleasure dealing with Honc Marine! From our first contact with their salesman Geoff on our site to the conclusion of the project the people we dealt with at Honc could not have been more professional and helpful. Because our lot was located on a and quot;spreaderand quot; canal in a somewhat sensitive area, obtaining the required permits from the state and from the Army Corps of Engineers took quite a bit of time. It was all handled beautifully by the office staff at Honc. We became nervous at a certain point when it seemed to be taking forever (not due to anything that Honc could control). The staff at Honc almost literally held our hands and ferreted out information from the government about our permits, etc. Both Tori and Jennifer in the Honc office were very responsive and capable. Eventually the governemt approvals came through, and the work itself proceeded rapidly. Because we do not live close by and could not watch the actual construction personally, Geoff volunteered to photograph the progress. He provided such clear and appropriate photos that it was really just like being there. When we did inspect the seawall, it appeared beautifully constructed and was exactly what we contracted for. We neglected to ask for a release of lien when we made our last payment, but a short time later it appeared in the mail. They don't miss any detail! We would recommend Honc highly for any project, as they appear to be a most competent and capable company. Moreover, they are great to work with ... real and quot;people people.and quot;

I was trying to call as many companies has I could, and Honc Marine Contracting was the only company that would come out and give me a estimate. The price was excellent. It was a couple of days work, which was fine with me. I ended up hiring them, and they were very polite, professional, and punctual. Other companies said that they were going to call me back and catch up with me, but I never heard anything else from any other company that I contacted.

Prompt and complete quote. Took care of permits completely. Started and completed on time. Worked well with neighbors and renter. Final work was as quoted. Problems occurred during constructions, but Honc took care of them without complaint or delay.After completion and after they had been paid, renter complained about the quality and placement of finish sod. With one phone call, the Honc manager returned, agreed without argument, and had the sod job completely re-done. That's incredible service!
