FOX HEATING & COOLING

During the evening of Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, our home air conditioner stopped working. Unfortunately, I was out on town. I had my wife call Fox Air Conditioning and Heating the following morning. I had used Fox in the past and had good results. Fox arrived Wednesday afternoon and said the system was low on freon and added some of my own freon I had on hand. The charge for this service call was $125.00. A few hours after they left, the system stopped working again. Three phone calls were placed on Thursday, and messages were left. It wasn’t until later in the afternoon before any of the messages were returned which was too late in the day for another service call. The service call was arraigned for Friday afternoon. Fox returned Friday and determined the problem was a defective blower control module. Fox stated that it was company policy to change out the entire blower and not just the control module. I questioned him why change out the entire blower when just the control module was bad. I asked him what the cost would be. He stated he did not know until he could check with the parts supplier. Due to it being late in the day the supplier was closed and we would have to wait until Monday morning. Fox told me he would find out first thing Monday morning and get back with me. Monday came and went and no call from Fox. Tuesday came and went and no call from Fox. Wednesday came and no call from Fox, so I called him. There was no answer again, so I left a message. A few hours later, I received a text apologizing to me and telling me that it was the suppliers’ fault for not getting back with them. He was going to call them (the suppliers). Well that was the afternoon of October 28th. I never heard back from Fox. Days later I decided to order the part (just the control module) and fix it myself. On November 1st my A/C was back up and running, no thanks to Fox Heating and Cooling. Fox did nothing to fix my problem. All they did was give me the run around and charge me $125.00 for nothing. As of the posting of this review I have not heard anything more from them. Beware!!!!!

Very smooth transaction. Very professional, took the time to explain everything, as this is our first home that has required central air. You can tell that this is someone who takes pride in their work. They will be highly recommended to everyone we know.

For heating and AC it would be Fox Heating and Air Conditioning. They are again 'A' all the way across the board for the grading scale. I have used them before too and I will use them again in the future.

The Company did call back after 10 minutes, as there was a Voice-Service at the phone over lunch time. They arrived at time, and they was repairing and not just changing parts, to make more money. All over all a very pleased Service. Quick, with a large knowledge of Air Conditioner, and on time. Cleaned up after work. It was just perfect.

I am very happy with them. They were very good. They fixed a leak in the AC that made my unit last a few more years. When it happened again, they came in and replaced it. The price was good. They were very pleasant to work with.

I am a "out of town owner", my daughter who was vacationing at the house called and said that there was a problem with the AC. I called a company that I had a service agreement with to take care of it. They looked at the unit and got it to put out enough air to get by but they said that I would have to have a new unit. Since the unit was only about 7 years old I called a lady who looks after the house for us and asked her if she knew anyone who could give me a second opinion, she did and contacted Tom Fox. Tom looked at the unit and repaired it for $100. The main problem was a shoddy initial installation and the unit was not airtight enough. About a year and a half later the same company that I had the service agreement with was doing the annual maintenance and the technician told me that I had a hole in the cooling coil that couldn't be repaired and that I needed a new unit. When I questioned him he got very nervous and uncomfortable. He said he would have a salesman call me with a price. I told him that I would need a second opinion. The salesman never did call. I of course called Tom Fox and had him look at the coil. The coil did indeed have a hole in the back side of it that could not be repaired properly. The coil looked like it had been punctured with a sharp object. Tom gave me an estimate to replace the entire air handler with an new higher efficiency unit. The estimate was very reasonable and I told them to go ahead. They preformed the work right on schedule and did it well. I canceled my maintenance agreement with the other company and Fox does my maintenance now.
