Terrible, less than a year and they still wanted double for a service charge to fix my system that Ian it working. They said it always snails in my line without even looking and said that’s not under warranty. Horrible customer service!!

Not really happy. Purchased 7 plants (fountain grass at $9 each) mid December and by Feb 1, one of the plants was almost dead. I tried nursing it back but it didnt make it. When I returned it, I was told I would get 10% off another plant .... wow, a whole $0.90 cents savings. Guess I should have took the plant back right away. I guess they checked and since I don’t buy a lot right now, they didnt care if I left. I am getting ready to re-landscape my whole house and I know who not to use as I try to use the locals but this time it didnt work out.

Whomever installed our landscaping failed to read the landscaping PLAN developed by DANNY YATES. Nothing was installed correctly and we specifically told the landscape designer NO MULCH...Guess what they installed...mulch. Horrible company, the landscaper will not return calls (left 3 messages). If you hire these guys good luck nothing is warranted either!

After wasting our time and energy drawing up a plan and gathering info for George at DY, George decided to install anything he wanted and never followed the plan.

Danny Yates did a great job landscaping our new house and also our rental house. George proposed a landscaping plan for both our house and the rental house. Both plans were over the budget requested but we decided to proceed. A couple of problems with the installed irrigation were corrected, and both houses now look much, much better and the plants and trees are doing well.

Their quality was good. The designer when we first engaged them was very friendly, but then after everything was installed and we had an issue, very defensive. The job was done pretty nicely. We are happy with the results.

Initially pleasantly surprised at the customer service and prompt support but very disappointed when the crew arrived without the hibiscus plants we'd selected with Sue two days prior. We were then given two different times for them to be delivered the same day but ended up having to call and ask when we could expect them only to be told that we didn't need to be home. Sadly, we did because the plants were again wrong. After going back and forth for over a week, the issues were resolved.

The builder of our new home, PGI Homes, uses Yates Landscaping so for simplicity, we went with them to do our design and installation of lawn, irrigation, curbing, shrubs and trees. The design process was great, very responsive and easy to work with. However, once the landscaping was installed, we were very disappointed. The size and quality of the shrubs were very surprising given the expense. We are looking at hundreds of dollars to replace all of the shrubs that have died, including those that died before we ever took possession of the home. To be fair, however, 30 out of 31 dwarf allamanda died due to a cold snap. Yates Landscaping agreed to replace them but that's been two months ago. I still have a little hope that they will be true to their word and replace the dead shrubs. But at this point, I would not recommend purchasing plants or services from Danny Yates Landscaping.

Beautiful job! The guys really went above and beyond, and they were able to finish the job a full week earlier than I expected. Although the job came in at $1200 more than other quotes, the quality of the job performed was more than worth it. Our "yard" before Danny's crew came in consisted of crab grass, sandspurs and bare patches of earth. In fact, the yard was in such poor condition that we were having serious erosion problems around the foundation of our home. When I requested irrigation, I thought they would only install irrigation in the grass areas only. They went way beyond, creating planting beds with irrigation as well. All of the guys were courteous, efficient and did an amazing job. I'll be shopping at the nursery soon to pick plants out for my new planting beds!

To me the price was a little too high.

Showed up when schedule had a large crew of workers and machinery and did the job in an efficient and professional manner. The lawn look great, very happy with their service.

Great job with install. Troy was very helpful and did a nice job with the maintenance.

I ordered one pallet of Floratam sod to be delivered. A nice lady took my order and it was delivered the following day. The problem is, the sod was in very poor condition. It obviously had been cut and stacked wet. The sod pieces on the entire pallet were like glued together. Impossible to remove without tearing into little pieces. When I called to complain about the condition of the sod, I talked to the nice lady that had processed my order. She told me because of all the rain, that was the best they could do, as to the quality of the sod. No offer was made for any credit towards my purchase. So my 300 sq feet of sod is all in little pieces, which of course added to the work load trying to put them down like a jigsaw puzzle. Whether or not it will survive is too early to tell. They should not be selling this poor quality of sod, nor was I advised that it would be in such poor condition when I ordered. Oh, and the pallet it was stacked on was in the same shape, bad. Falling apart in pieces. Was told if I returned there would be a $10.00 refund for the pallet. Hardly worth my effort. It went in the trash. Luckily, there is a field next to our property where a lot of unusable pieces ended up.

I purposely waited to provide my review to ensure a thorough review. My review is focused on a number of areas, pre-installation, installation, plant quality, and post installation. Danny Yates Landscaping returned my call for a quote quickly and provided the landscape diagram in a quick manner as well. Once the diagram was approved, we coordinated a date for installation which went fine as well. Once the landscaping was completed and I reviewed the job I noticed that the plant sizes were very small. Within a month of installation two of the plants in the front garden died which I then had to replace. I decided to go to Lowes to find the replacement since you could buy three times the size of the plant for the same cost of what they charged for the small ones. The replacement plants from Lowes are still thriving. Another aspect of the installation that I felt was under parr was that they did NOT remove the gravel that was in the garden when installing the plants. I didn't find that out until I had to replace a couple of the plants and found that the mulch barely covered the area and the gravel had been mixed into the soil (which made replacing rather difficult). The mulch that had been provided (which I went by there estimate since they were the experts)did not cover the areas sufficiently and dirt was constantly showing thru. I therefore had to go out and buy in excess of 40 bags of mulch to provide proper coverage! This took a considerable amount of funds plus a few weekends of my own effort. A number of large and mid size palm trees were bought and installed from Danny Yates which they were suppose to stake to avoid damage. That was not done and I had to call the company and request that they return and provide this service since it had been paid for. They obliged and rectified that part of the job. Upon a recent visit to the home I noticed that one of the foxtail palms in the rear yard was dead. Since it was less than a year since installation I phone Danny Yates to inquire about a replacement. They informed me that they do not guarantee any of their plants and do not replace dead plants. Given that this company charges a considerable amount more for their plants and installation I think they should stand behind their service and plantings. Even Lowes provides a one year guarantee for their plants. Would I use this company again, no. I don't think the price justifies the quality of the service provided, the quality of the plants provided and the fact that they don't stand behind their plants speaks loudly that you are paying far too much for what you are getting in the end.

Well, it started great, the first lady I dealt with was incredibly friendly and helpful. She had a ready smile and was very knowledgeable about their products and seemed eager to be of assistance. I placed the items I had prepared for purchase on the counter and went to take a look to see if there was anything else of interest before heading back to make payment. When I returned to pay there was a different lady working the counter. She was the antithesis of the first. I tried to ask her a couple questions, and she had an attitude that basically screamed, "Make your purchase and then get out." . She asked if I knew the price of an item, I told her what I thought it was and then she went off to check, on her way out trying to be helpful I started to say where I had gotten the plant from and she snapped, "I know where its at!" I was just shocked by how rude she was. I looked to my side where there was another customer (who must of been a regular) looked at my face and chuckled and said, "Don't even go there, she's just plain mean." so apparently this wasn't a case of her just having an isolated bad day. That's something I can sympathize with and overlook because, hey, everyone has had a bad day and acted in a manner i'm sure they later regret., but after his comment I remembered that I dealt with her the previous time I was in and she was pretty off putting then as well. I decided to leave this review not to turn off potential customers from doing business with them because as I said, the other staff was very friendly and if I would only have dealt with her I am sure I would have had a great experience. Long story short, they have a large selection of trees and shrubs and whatnot and are very conveniently located (if priced a bit high on some things) so feel free to stop by for a visit. Just make sure you only deal with the slightly heavyset woman with the big smile over the skinny one with the sour look on her face and you'll leave happy. She's the sole reason I gave them a B overall rating than the D that I would have otherwise felt justified in leaving.

Just read the abovementioned. Absolutely the best most professional company. Highly recommend. Will always use them for any landscaping work we need.

The came on day and time as scheduled. One tree did not look good when it was installed and I mentioned it but was told to give it time. The girl at the nursery gave me some special fertilizer to put around it and told me to cut the tree back and she would be out to look at when she got time after work. (George could not come because he was on vacation.) She never got to my house and the tree eventually died. I took pictures and a branch into the nursery and gave to George and he told me that he would put it on the repair list. The tree was replaced within a week and is doing well. All the other plants are doing well also. Would definitely use them again. Also, the original price was more than I wanted to pay so George worked with me about different options that I could do to reduce the price to be in my budget. We also reduced the size of the plants, changed some shrubbery to less expensive varieties, changed from stones to much less expensive mulch, and removed the curbing. My only regret is that we took out the weed mat out to reduce part od the cost and the weeds are running out of control.

Very good, we are very happy with the the service we received, the fruit trees we bought are in great shape and they always do an excellent job with planting the trees. Selection was good and we got about 14 trees and they planted them in less then 45, cleaned everything up.

They did a great job. They are widely regarded as the best in town. They delivered exactly what they said they would. We were pleased with the results.

All we did was pick up the plants. We decided we were able to make the beds and plant them ourselves.

I have used Danny Yates services several times. Their rates are competitive, they do quality work, and they always seem genuinely grateful that I choose to use their services. I have never had a problem with them not showing up on time or leaving a job undone. They take pride in their work and are always courteous.

They did a very good job, it may have been worth the extra cost.
